On our last trip we visited here multiple times, it's that good! So many options to choose from but the coconut is to die for. I honestly wish I could get this closer to home. Others in our group had different options and enjoyed them as well. Great service and wonderful ice cream!

Stopped in for a quick sweet treat. I was hoping for pistachio but they didn't have any this day. We got chocolate and cotton candy ice cream. It was good, although the chocolate was a little grainy. It's not cheapest place for ice cream but conveniently located near the beach. The service was good and plenty of places to sit indoors to enjoy on a super hot day. The art work was great, the kids loved it. Definitely worth a visit!

Many locals told us to take our little one to get ice cream at Orange Octopus. Their recommendation did not disappoint! Thankfully they were open late so we were able to eat dinner elsewhere and venture over to this gem. Toasted Coconut and Mint Chocolate Chip were VERY good.

Good spot! Visited this ice cream spot with family. The spot is small but has some indoor seating. The staff was friendly and happy to provide samples as needed! I got the Kentucky Honey Bourbon and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream in a waffle cone. The ice cream was creamy and both choices were good with very subtle and smooth flavors. Unfortunately the waffle cones were stale. Hopefully the cone I got was just not the best batch. I would definitely re-visit and try some other flavors!

Orange Octopus has been hiding from me for a long time. I can't even believe it. The sign caught my eye this time by Captain Curt's Oyster and Tiki Bar. We always go to Turtle Beach not Siesta Key. It's Quieter and the walk is way shorter and it finally caught my attention. This ice cream is local and home made and amazing. I promise I don't say that for all ice cream. I had the key lime pie with coconut and coconut topping. So perfect!! My husband had the sea salt caramel and strawberry cheesecake. They were exactly as they say they were. The orange octopus theme is the cutest. Love love love this spot now every time we go back to Turtle Beach!

Loved this place! Took my girls here after a hot beach day and it totally hit the spot. The inside of the shop was really clean and we loved the minimalist design. The ice cream was phenomenal-- I got the key lime, hubby got the Kentucky honey bourbon, and the girls got the Superman and the chocolate. Super creamy and not overly sweet. Speaking as someone who has tried nearly every ice cream store in Siesta Key... Orange Octopus is a strong contender for #1. I prefer a softer, creamier texture when it comes to ice cream and this place got it perfect. The chocolate peanut is amazing and I will be returning solely for this flavor. The dutch chocolate flavor is great for a dark chocolate lover. It is not a super sweet flavor which makes it a nice compliment to balance out another flavor. FYI: They don't split a single scoop here :( BUT you can have two flavors if you get a double scoop :)

Man this place deserves every star I can give it. It was a little hard to find. It's located in a strip mall next to Siesta Key bike & kayak. Parking is limited right in front of the businesses in strip. I was greeted soon as I came in and the young man asked I if I'd like to try any flavors. I tried 4 and they were all so delicious. The server helped me decide on Kentucky Honey Bourbon and Sea Salt Caramel. Man oh man I really enjoyed my waffle cone. The Ice cream was so creamy and had the best consistency. The waffle cone was fresh as well. The shop has seating inside and a couple benches ouut front so you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. As others have mentioned you get a nice sized scoop so if you did a cup you might be able to share 2 scoops. Highly satisfied with this establishment.

The staff here is so cute and friendly and the banana split I had was delicious. My husband and I split a big one and the ice cream was top notch. We had a tough time choosing the flavors because there are just that many options. I'd say the only thing I wasn't such a fan of was the price. Pretty pricey for ice cream. read more

This is hands down our favorite ice cream in Sarasota! Yummy flavors with real ingredients, friendly staff and a cute shop with octopus ice cream scoop logo art. We'll go over to siesta key just for the ice cream, even if we are not going to the beach. The Kentucky honey bourbon, banana, and pumpkin spice are my favorite flavors so far, but I haven't had anything I didn't like. Plus they have good iced coffee. read more

This was a wonderful place to stop and get dessert after a long day on the beach. They had a wide range of flavors and their prices were very reasonable, there was a little bit of a line but it was well worth the wait. The service was quick and friendly! This is one of the best ice cream places in Sarasota. We had the brownie, cookie dough and vanilla and all were top notch. Very smooth and creamy and very flavorful! Parking can be a bit of a pain during busy times, but there is an overflow lot behind the building. The inside is small and decorated nicely. Great for both kids and adults. The OO's Kentucky Honey Bourbon ice cream is hands-down the BEST ice cream I have ever had. The owner is friendly and helpful and will talk to you about any of the flavors offered. Great place for locals and tourists alike, and the perfect place to get something sweet after lunch at the nearby Anna's Deli or dinner at Captain Curt's, which it shares a parking lot with. read more

The chocolate peanut butter ice-cream is amazing! They make their own ice-cream, in house. The peanut butter swirled in with the chocolate was the best I have ever tasted. This is the best ice cream I have ever had! I got the toasted coconut and pistachio in a waffle cone with sprinkles. The cone was fresh and the ice cream was creamy and favorable without being overly sweet. Even the sprinkles tasted fresh. Generous scoops. So refreshing after a day at the beach. read more

You have to go south a ways from the Village to find this place in the parking lot behind a seafood place South on Midnight Pass. But fantastic homemade ice cream! Are there enough stars to even give this place??? The Octopus- in my families opinion is hands down the best ice-cream in Sarasota. The waffle cone - single but you can get two flavours - is fantastic with ice cream now made in house. Each year I become addicted to a new flavour. This year the coconut/butter pecan scoops in a cone can not be beat ! The T-shirts are also cute if you need a new one to add to the "vacation I have been" pile. Go during the day when the beach is too hot, parking is easier then! read more

We go here almost each day during our visits to FL. The ice cream is truly delicious, and the staff is sweet, helpful, funny, and really seem to enjoy their work. They practically insist patrons sample various flavors, and I swear, I think I gain 5 lbs. on samples alone! And since I have a hard time deciding on 1 flavor, I especially appreciate their 1 lg. scoop split between 2 flavors. Love this place! read more

If I understood correctly they are going through a change of ownership, so a fresh look may be coming.

The young folks did a good job welcoming us in with greetings. The space is narrow and intimate. They helped us order and gave us samples of flavors to try (upon request). They all were very patient with our group of 3 adults and 3 children. The restroom is kept nice and pristine. Since there's no indoor seating, we sat outside their patio area, sat and enjoyed our treats. If in the area again, we be delighted to go back.

We didn't have to wait too long after ordering to get our stuff. They close early afternoon or until sold out so best to come early cause once they run out of stuff they don't remake. SNEAKERS DOODLE DONUT- perfect dough so sweet and airy. SOFT PRETZEL- one of the best pretzels I have ever had. And the size! It is a very large pretzel. I am very happy with everything about this quick to go stop here. The place smells amazing the ambiance is nice and clean and the experience was great. I will definitely come back for more.

I really love this place. It has a great small town feel to it and more importantly the ice cream is to die for. It has other little baked goodies, that I didn't try but they looked great. I really wish I found this place sooner. I know where I am taking my kids next time for ice cream for sure! read more

Great ice cream! I got the Sea Salt Caramel and it was amazing! New favorite ice-cream spot in the area. The girls working were very friendly and helpful- even with the line, we got through quickly. Would definitely have to recommend this place. read more
