It is found tucked behind the building with only a small, letter-sized paper sign marking the entrance. No flashy signage, no obvious storefront, which adds to the appeal if you're into that kind of hunt. Walking up to it late at night can be a little intimidating but it is well lit which I greatly appreciated! Once inside, the space is dimly lit and small, which makes for a genuinely intimate setting. I'd say it's good for a quieter, more conversational vibe rather than a loud night out. We went with the bartender's choice: pick a base liquor, then two words to describe what you're after. I went with vodka and "slightly sweet, refreshing," for $18. The bartender nailed the brief but it wasn't a drink I'd think about again or specifically order by name. Solid execution, forgettable flavor. Service was the real standout. Our bartender was excellent at walking us through the concept and translating vague requests into something that actually worked. That, plus the atmosphere, is enough to bring me back to see what else is on the menu since we made it there just in time for last call so I ended up only having one drink.

It's the kind of place that feels perfect for a night out--whether you're grabbing cocktails with friends or making a stop during an evening downtown. Really good food that we enjoyed thoroughly. Very interesting menu-fusion of many cuisines featuring many ingredients that found their way into places one would not expect. With happy results! I had the salmon moussaka. The salmon was delicious-slightly blackened. Great quality salmon. Paired nicely with the lovely tzatziki and accompanied by salad heavy with toasted garbanzos and mucho quinoa, 'cukes, endive-heavy greens and a spot on bright dressing. Sister had black bean burger on dressed bun that was accompanied by perfectly prepared steak fries with house made ketchup that had a slight heat to it. Really good as well. Kitchen staff nailed the preparation and everything came out perfectly. First meal out in Greenville (as we cook). I could not have been more pleased. Great value for the price. Certainly not inexpensive, but not outrageous. I will definitely be "stealing" this moussaka dish and presentation for my wife the minute I return home! Menu is in transition per our wait person, and one interesting dish was not available. And a croquette dish had been substituted the croquettes for a latke-like pancake (I presume)-not a croquette. Extremely friendly to the veg crowd! Seems like a great kitchen and well run restaurant. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere is very inviting... clean lines.... clean restaurant... terrific attentive service. We looked for a restaurant in the Greenville area that offered vegan and non vegan options. So this fit the bill. Richard said the veggie burger was a bit too soft for his liking. I say that in reference to a vegan burger we had in Berlin that was quite meaty in texture. I think using pea protein really makes a difference in texture... it is used more overseas than in the US. I had the zucchini and potato arepa. It was very tasty and quite filling!!!! A little too heavy for me for lunch... very hearty option. Our waitress was right there when we needed her, kept our water glasses filled, which is important to me because I drink a lot of water at meals. Our daughter had the Brussel sprouts, which she said were delicious. Serving sizes are good!!

Dennis & Logan are two of the dopest bartenders out there who also know how to make a killer drink. I love coming here for Dennis' expert take on an old fashioned, which he has spent a lot of time and effort refining. And I don't kid when I say that this is Greenville's best old fashioned. The attitude behind the bar is very laidback, which will likely offput people expecting a pretentious, posh atmosphere. But if you want a drink made by people who care about what goes in your glass, trust me, pay Rey's a visit.

One bartender (with a nose piercing) yelled at my brother-in-law for placing a small piece of paper behind the bar because there was no trash can near the dart area. When my brother asked if he would have preferred it be thrown on the floor, the bartender replied, "Actually, yes." It was a clear no-win situation. The overall tone from the staff felt aggressive and confrontational. Another bartender (with longer hair) made a comment to our group saying, "If that bitch blows her whistle again," using derogatory language toward women in our party. That level of disrespect is unacceptable. Because of the staff's behavior, we took our entire group, and our business, elsewhere and will not be returning. This experience left a very bad impression, and management should be aware of how their bartenders are representing the establishment.

Such a fantastic location, on the corner of McBee Ave. The building and setting is gorgeous inside and outside seating. Both very large areas that would be awesome for evenings out. I'll be sure to come back for that. I chose outside for the nice breeze out with lots of umbrella's for shade. I always feel cold inside restaurants and didn't have a sweater.. so I chose one of the long marble top tables outside. There is also a big tv for game viewing in a fully covered corner area. The bar opens up so it's accessible whether seated inside or out (photos). The menu has great choices. I had done my research beforehand since I was on a time crunch and ordered the roast beef melt.. which came with fries and au jus that was amazing!! I added a side of steamed oysters.. perfection!! These came with horseradish, cocktail sauce, red wine vinegar and oil for dipping. I ended my meal with creme brûlée that was better than one's I've had in Paris. It was topped with a perfect layer of flamed sugar, fresh assortment of fruit in whipped creme + a tiny crown of mint. The creme brûlée had a hint of lemon, making it over the top delicious. Austin B. Was my server and he was amazing. Really a great dining experience and with food being that amazing for lunch.. work felt like a vacation! Hope you go eat at STIR in Greenville.. so worth your time and convenience when dining downtown.
