Service was awful. Guy was in the phone and had no interest in taking my order. I should have left because the coffee was terrible.

I come here about once a week. I really enjoy the atmosphere, and they have free Wi-fi. Friendly service too.

I come up to this bakery once a month, and I love the 48 hour preorder option. I highly recommend…read moreit for people who don't want to deal with the line that understandably goes out the door. The food is worth the wait. Don't sleep on the black pepper sausage danish: the croissant dough is crisp and flaky, and doesn't get soggy when baked around the sausage. It's comparable in execution to the Croissant Hot Dog served at Dominique Ansel Las Vegas (in Caesar's Palace), but at a way more accessible price point. Which isn't to say this place is cheap; like many artisanal bakeries in California, it comes with a premium price tag, but at least it's not Dominique Ansel pricy. Croissante's croissant dough baked goods (viennoiserie) is pun-intended "proof" that you get what you pay for. The dining space is limited and lively. Conversing is a little tough, but if you just need a place to sit while eating, it's just right. Extra special shout out this time to Dill who had informed me the fried chicken dishes today would be an hour and a half wait. After deciding there wasn't anything I wanted more than the Fried Chicken and Spiced Croffle (croissant dough baked in a waffle iron) and was happy to wait, they were nice enough to check in with the kitchen and see if it could be made sooner than that. I didn't expect to be accommodated, so I was happy they were able to do that. You get two chicken thighs and croffles per order. It's enough for two light eaters to share.

They have ignored multiple emails I have sent them, their shift supervisors refuse to allow a pre-order less than $50 but then will lie about the item I want when I call for its availability just so I show up and have to buy something else. My wife is 37 weeks pregnant and in the fucking hospital and these assholes wouldn't even take a pre-order for her or allow me to contact the owner to discuss it. Like I said, sent multiple emails and not received a response and their staff acts like it's no big deal and gave me the most half-assed apology I've ever heard just now and then still refused to bake her a croissant or allow me to place an order for the following day, saying "people don't pick them up" Fuck you, I'm in there three times a week trying to buying ONE FUCKING CROISSANT and these bastards act like I'm asking them to cut off their arms. I will never go to this place again, their customer service is dogshit and it's not worth it.

He explained that they are a small batch bakery. All the pastries, behind the glass, looked amazing and were decorated so beautifully. I decided to get one Lemon-Raspberry Meringue Tart and one Mix Berry Vanilla Creme Tart. Mr. Manaois boxed up my selections and helped me at the register. They also gave many varieties of hot beverages, sweet and savory scones and sweet and savory croissants. There are also a lot of different pastries. This would be a great place to have a small relaxing breakfast. There are several places inside to enjoy your goodies. Both desserts, that I purchased, were so delicious. My favorite was the lemon raspberry meringue tart. The tartness of the lemon-raspberry filling worked so perfectly with the delicious sweet meringue. I will definitely come here again to try other items.

The design was so classy, elegant, and truly above my expectations. You can really see the care and creativity that went into making it. My husband was so happy when he saw it, and it made the celebration even more special for us. I also want to give a special thanks to the manager at the San Jose location. When I mentioned that we would be traveling in the car for about 7 hours, they were so kind and helpful in giving us options to make sure the cake would stay perfect during the trip. Their suggestion worked so well! Overall, I am beyond satisfied with both the cake and the wonderful customer service. Highly recommend! Thank you for making our celebration extra special.

We walked into a space that is clearly geared toward takeout rather than sitting down, with a sleek, minimalist interior that matches the refined approach of the desserts themselves. Rather than offering a huge bakery case filled with dozens of options, the attention here is on carefully crafted cakes, particularly their signature mille crêpe cakes, and the setup makes it easy to pick up and go without feeling rushed. The mille crêpe cakes are the reason to visit. Each slice is made up of delicate layers that feel light and refined rather than dense or overly rich. What stood out most was the balance of sweetness. The cakes are sweet enough to feel indulgent but restrained enough that the individual flavors still come through clearly. We tried the Hokkaido Milk cake, which was especially memorable with a clean dairy flavor and smooth texture that highlighted the quality of the cream. The tiramisu version added a deeper coffee-forward profile, with the espresso notes coming through without overwhelming the delicate layers. The matcha crêpe cake delivered a genuine matcha flavor that was not buried under sugar, maintaining the earthy, slightly bitter notes that matcha lovers look for. Beyond the flavors themselves, the texture is what makes these cakes special. The layers are thin, consistent, and soft, creating a delicate bite that feels different from a traditional cake. There is a noticeable amount of care in the execution, and the desserts feel thoughtfully made rather than mass-produced. Even the presentation is elegant, with clean slices and polished packaging that makes them a great choice for birthdays, anniversaries, or other celebrations where presentation matters as much as taste. Service was straightforward and efficient, and the ordering process felt easy whether we were picking up individual slices or whole cakes. The staff handled the takeout flow smoothly, and the packaging kept the cakes secure during transit. The desserts are definitely on the premium side when it comes to pricing, but the craftsmanship and attention to detail help explain the cost, especially when you consider the labor involved in creating the thin, consistent layers. Anton feels like a place that specializes in celebrating special occasions. The mille crêpe cakes are the highlight, with delicate layers, balanced sweetness, and flavors that feel carefully developed. If you are looking for a dessert that feels a little more refined than a standard bakery cake, this is the kind of place that is worth seeking out, whether for a celebration or just a moment of indulgence.

We had ample time to pick our food before the line of 5 customers were done with theirs. We decided to eat in to take photos of this brunch spot laden with Japanese pop culture characters and bric-a-bracs. Japanese Egg Salad, Breakfast Sando, Longaniza Sando, Spam Ham & Egg and Lox No Bagel with a generous side of Potato Tostones. Plus a half-loaf of Shokupan (milk bread). That's 5 of the 9 published Milk Belly sandwiches on their menu. They did have seasonal drinks and special menu sandos but those are items to try out when we return. We shared half of the smoked salmon and breakfast sandwich with a cup of Vietnamese Ice Coffee before we called it quits for breakfast. We brought home the rest of our haul for the kids to partake. The egg sando reminded me of Japanese konbini's egg plus egg salad sandwiches. My wife's breakfast sando was likewise filling with bacon, egg, cheese & herb mayo inside the fluffy shokupan. The crew were friendly and service was as efficient as can be with a packed house. This wasn't a cheap breakfast by any means but the chance to tick off MBB from our to-try list was worth it.

Customers usually come in, grab what they need, pay, and head out, which keeps things moving smoothly. One of the best things about this bakery is the incredible variety of pastries and breads. Whether you're craving something sweet or savory, there's plenty to choose from: melon pan, loaf bread, dinner rolls, chow mein bread, spaghetti bread, sweet potato bread, crab and roe bread, tomato bread, apple pie, and so much more. Don't skip the refrigerated section either! They carry fruit sandwiches, tuna sandwiches, fried bread, donuts, somen noodles in a cup, and other delicious grab-and-go items. They also offer rice balls and drinks that can be ordered at the register. If you're in the area, definitely stop by and give them a try. Small businesses like this deserve our support!

We walked into a cozy, compact space with shelves filled with freshly baked breads, pastries, and prepared foods, all arranged in a way that makes you want to browse slowly even though the shop is small. The atmosphere has that simple, welcoming feel reminiscent of the small bakeries you find throughout Japan, focusing more on quality and variety than on a large café setup. Seating is limited, so it is better suited for grabbing something to go rather than spending a long time inside. The biggest draw here is the combination of Japanese baked goods and savory items. The bakery selection offers a great mix of sweet and savory options, with classics like melon pan standing out for its crisp sugary topping and soft interior that stays light without being dry. The curry bread and croquette bread are also popular choices, both feeling comforting and freshly made rather than overly sweet or greasy. The bakery items are reasonably priced, which makes it easy to pick up multiple things without feeling like you are spending too much, and the variety means there is always something new to try. The onigiri selection is what really makes Clover stand out compared to a typical bakery. They offer a variety of rice balls with fillings like spicy tuna, tuna mayo, and unagi, making it a great option for a quick breakfast or light meal. The rice is well balanced and the fillings give each onigiri a different personality. The spicy tuna has a nice kick that comes through without overpowering the rice, while the unagi adds a sweeter, more savory flavor that works especially well with the slightly salty rice. The onigiri are a practical, satisfying choice for anyone looking for something more substantial than a pastry. Beyond the baked goods and onigiri, Clover also has drinks, sandwiches, and desserts including cakes and other pastries. The strawberry cake is a nice lighter dessert option, and the overall menu gives plenty of reasons to visit whether you are looking for breakfast, a snack, or something to bring home. The offerings feel thoughtfully selected, with enough variety to cover different cravings without making the menu feel scattered. Service is friendly and efficient, and the small size of the shop adds to the charm. Since it has become a popular local spot, some items can sell out during busy hours, so arriving earlier gives you the best selection. Parking can also be a little challenging during peak times, but the quick grab-and-go style makes the visit easy to manage. Clover Bakery & Cafe is a great stop for anyone who enjoys Japanese bakeries. The combination of fresh breads, affordable prices, and unique savory options like onigiri makes it feel different from a standard bakery. It is the type of place where it is worth picking up a few items and trying a mix of everything, leaving you with the sense that you have found a little neighborhood gem that delivers on both quality and variety.

Husband called them around 11am and they said they were in the middle of making their strawberry cakes so they could add our order in for a same day pickup at 4pm. Pickup went well and the cake was so cute and it tasted great! Like the Chinese bakery strawberry cream cake with a moist sponge cake; not too sweet, just right. Might sound basic but it was done very well. Would 100% recommend. I don't know prices for cakes nowadays but I didn't feel bad paying about $60 for a cute and tasty cake (6", strawberry cream cake).
