Banana bread.
Stacy C.

Had breakfast from this cafe this morning. Ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel, apple hand pie, banana bread, and an iced hot chocolate. Bagels have been one of my favorite foods since I was a kid, but lately I haven't had a taste for them. This morning I thought a bagel sandwich sounded good, but unfortunately I couldn't eat it. It was my issue, not a problem with the food. The apple hand pie was scrumptious. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. The iced hot chocolate wasn't great, but that was because I ordered it with half sweetness and it needed more. I'm saving the banana bread for later, but I have a feeling it will be good warmed up.

Good sandwich ft the coffee I threw away seconds later.

I used to love coming here back when it was Hannah, so I'm not sure if this is due to the management change or the fact that my palate has changed, but I did not like my coffee at all. If you really like milky coffee or just don't really enjoy the taste of coffee, then this is the place for you! I personally enjoy a strong-tasting latte, and this definitely wasn't that. I really couldn't tell that there was any coffee in my latte, it just tasted like milk. I ended up throwing it away because it wasn't enjoyable to me at all. I'm giving three stars for the free cutie they added to our order, which was such a pleasant surprise and for the sandwich, which was pretty good.

Fun pictures in my espresso!

Stopped in for my favorite (and rare) off menu item Affogato. I discovered that the long time owners, who have honored the original Hannah's quality and many of the original items have decided to rename it to Bavetta Coffee, visiting the website will give you their take on the transition. Personally, it seems like the right time to take on the ownership. As a frequent customer, I appreciate the honor they have shown to the brand. You can look back to earlier reviews to see that Hannah's was one of the stable places to come and safely interact with other humans during COVID-19 a psychological life-line the original Hannah executed herself. For one, I'll be eternally grateful for that contribution to our neighborhood. Congratulations to Ryan and Salome for this shift and gratitude for keeping a quality coffee place in a challenging environment ('nuff said).

We were visiting the area to see loved ones, and the next day we needed a little pick-me-up for the day. My wife found a few little spots but she was curious to try Bavetta. I am so happy we went there. Entering the spot, it is a welcoming atmosphere. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and the servers were eager to serve. It was our first time so we did ask for recommendations. My wife got a matcha and I got the "A-Aron" for it's popularity and its comedic nostalgia to a Key and Peele skit. We also ordered a few pastries and some breakfast sandwiches. The corner cafe is small but it gives a lot to look at for people like my wife and I. Not only did we leave with food and drink, we picked up some stickers, coffee beans, and lots of photos and ideas. We absolutely enjoyed our time there and the food was amazing. Indeed, the A-aron was a HIT and I look forward to the next time we are in town!

Mr Sunshine will brighten up your morning just as it did for me! I got their A-A-Ron and every sip just gives me joy. Relatively quick with their service and love the ambiance of the place. Going to be my go to coffee/brunch spot when I'm in the area!

Ube pastry- had a "mochi" texture and taste!

Amazing coffee shop! I am glad we stopped by on our way back home. I was curious to try their famous A-A-ARON drink. It was a perfect combination of sweetness. The ladies there were friendly and helpful. We grabbed a couple of pastries, but I don't remember their names, so I'll describe them through pictures. Street Parking is available, restrooms were clean.

Came here on a Sunday with a friend at 4:30 pm! It was somewhat busy with interior dining tables filled. However, it was quick service to get your drinks. It's a cute, homey interior and hidden gem for the DTSJ community. There's street parking available and they have a bathroom for customers. I got a passion fruit tea, and it was so refreshing. I chugged that drink so fast since it was good! A good stop for drinks if you're in the area. Check them out!

Chicken Pesto Panini w/a Clementine & a Chai Latte. More than just picture perfect, it was so good.

It's the perfect spot to grab a quick breakfast, around the corner from the downtown train station. This place has good reviews, so we dropped in to try it out. We found parking in the front, and it's easy to spot. We were greeted immediately, and the menu isn't humongous. The staff were friendly and fast. I ordered a London Fog & Ray's Breakfast sandwich, he got Chai Latte & Chicken Pesto Panini, both came with Clementines. I was so impressed with how delicious it was. This place isn't large, and the menu unassuming, but it was filling and so satisfying. Very clean, and pet friendly. Nice place to relax and just enjoy your food. Chill!

all around a 5/5! very cute local coffee shop, got to try the matcha horchata and the a-a-ron both were really good you can def taste the rice milk in the matcha and the a-a-ron was my fav. the banana muffin with frosting was soooo good i look forward to getting it more and the pineapple hand pie and the cookies were also very good! staff was very nice and great energy very helpful as well

Veggie
Minah L.

Got their one vegetarian option for takeout, the beautiful veggie sandwich, which tasted really homey and comforting. Lots of veggies, cheese, and egg on whole wheat for a light lunch. It was missing salt on the veggies and egg, making it taste bland for us. Some sauce or spread on the bread would also have tied it all nicely together. Will also try their drinks next time.

Iced PistachiYOLO

This place is located conveniently next to the San Jose diridon station. You can literally walk and it takes about 5-7 minutes. I tried the iced pistachio latte (decaf, oat milk) and the plain croissant (warmed) and loved both. The servings are quite generous for the price, paid $16 all up and felt stuffed. The ambiance is really pretty with plants all around. Restrooms are clean and locked behind a combination locked door. Parking was a bit confusing at first, but pretty sure you can park on the street or behind the coffee shop. Overall great place. Staff are really friendly. Totally lived up to the hype and can't wait to be back soon!

A-A-Ron Latte
Noopur D.

Great experience at Hannah Coffee! Staff are very friendly and helped us out since we were indecisive. We got the A-A-Ron latte which was absolutely delicious. It had hazelnut and cinnamon and tastes like Christmas in a cup, it's so deliciously creamy!! We also got the green eggs and ham sandwich which was really yummy and had great flavors, and was very filling. Area inside is cozy and small, not a ton of space but there are good size tables to sit and work. The WiFi wasn't working at first but came back, so keep in mind can be finicky.

Mr. Sunshine sandwich, replaced bacon with avocado
Monica G.

I've been getting delivery from here for the past few months and every item has been a 5/5 every time. My go-tos are: - A A Ron Latte, iced - The white chocolate, hazelnut, and cinnamon flavors blend together perfectly but you can still distinctly taste all three along with the espresso. It also doesn't have any weird aftertastes from the white chocolate or hazelnut syrup, which is an issue I've run into at other coffee places. - London Fog, iced with raspberry cold foam - It's surprisingly hard to find a coffee place that does London Fogs well, especially iced, but this is definitely one of them. The earl grey tea is super strong, and it's complemented by a good amount of vanilla syrup. Also, no weird aftertaste from the vanilla or raspberry. - Mr. Sunshine sandwich, replace the bacon with avocado - This is simple, healthy, and delicious, plus it comes with a little mandarin. I especially love the 9-grain bread that they use because it reminds me of the brown bread from Cheesecake Factory. While I could make something like this at home, I don't always have the time, energy, or ingredients on hand, so I love that I can still get a healthy lunch with my daily caffeine. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu and hopefully dining in one day!

I don't usually write reviews, but this place truly deserves one…read more The first time I came to Northern California, I found West Coast Sourdough by accident on Uber Eats. I'm extremely picky about my food, so I honestly expected I probably wouldn't like it. I couldn't have been more wrong. Their Chicken Pesto Sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. After that first order, I started visiting the restaurant in person, and that's when I met Nabin, Shekhar, Suraj, and Chetan. Every single one of them is professional, detail-oriented, friendly, caring, and incredibly knowledgeable. They always greet customers with a smile and make you feel genuinely welcome. What really stands out is how much pride they take in their work. They happily customize my Chicken Pesto Sandwich exactly the way I like it, and every time it comes out fresh, delicious, and perfectly made. You can tell they care about quality. They are also very clean and hygienic--they wear gloves and regularly change them while preparing food, which gives me a lot of confidence in their food safety standards. Their customer service is honestly exceptional. It's rare to find a team that is this consistently kind, attentive, and committed to making sure every customer has a great experience. I now live in Menlo Park, and even after the last seven months, I still drive all the way to this San Jose location just to get my favorite sandwich. That's how good it is. Nabin, Shekhar, Suraj, and Chetan are true assets to West Coast Sourdough. They represent exactly what great customer service should look like. Thank you all for consistently making amazing sandwiches and for always treating your customers with such care and professionalism. I highly recommend West Coast Sourdough in San Jose to anyone looking for outstanding food, excellent service, and an experience that keeps you coming back.

As Dear Hubby would tell you, I rarely am interested in the same food (or restaurant) as a repeat…read morein a given week. Certainly not back-to-back. However, as a sourdough lover going back to my youth, when I searched Yelp for a lunch spot last weekend when we were in the area, I was excited to see West Coast Sourdough as an option. Not only did we go there on Sunday afternoon; we also returned on Monday mid-day and brought Adored Grandson, too. The first time DH and I split the 8-inch hot pastrami sandwich with au jus on the side. Major yum! The cashier suggested adding their house sauce, which was a great addition to the flavors of the pastrami and sourdough. The au jus added another layer of meaty, salty flavor. I was very happy with that choice. DH also had a cup of clam chowder, and I ordered a chocolate chip cookie. We were happy campers. As I was looking around the interior space, I noticed several seasonal items. One was a lobster roll with bacon sandwich. How did I miss that at the outset? Lobster roll as a fast casual sandwich shop? Hmm! That was the reason that we went back the next day, actually. I raved about the place to AG, who wasn't raised steeped in sourdough flavor goodness, so wasn't as stoked as I was. Still, he really enjoyed his buffalo chicken sandwich. DH and I each ordered our own 6-inch lobster roll sandwich on our return visit. That is the only size that they offer for that special sando. Their take included lots of lobster, plus some crunchy celery and light mayo over tomato and lettuce, so it was served cold. That was fine, but the bacon could have benefited from a warm up. Otherwise, it was delicious. Because it was rich, probably DH and I could have split one sandwich and just ordered something else on the side. I was definitely full on the drive home. The interior of this location is cheerful, with oversized collages of images of California destinations and fresh food items on the feature wall. The team of sandwich artists kept busy with their orders not only for in-house guests, but also take-out orders. We didn't feel rushed to give up our table. We almost bought a take-and-bake large sourdough bread to bring home, but they got busy and we had to head out. Nice to know they offer that option for a reasonable price. Wish we had this expanding chain in Ventura County!

We tried the lobster bisque for fun and it was just glorified tomato soup. Overall the restaurant was clean but the food was garbage; don't get me started on the fake "pesto" sauce, pesto is green!! Why was it white with barely green flakes. Huge disappointment for 45$ would rather have bought a top shelf eighth of weed and gone hungry.
