One of my favorite coffee shops! The santana row location always hits the spot, a perfectly crafted coffee every time. My favorite is the Nola Shakerato, it's the perfect amount of sweetness but not too overpowering that you can still taste the smooth coffee flavor. The barista's are super friendly. There is plenty of outdoor seating, but it is located in santana row so on the weekend it can get busy! This Blue Bottle is a little popup building in the middle of the island in Santana Row. There are no seats inside the building but plenty of open, public seating around. The coffee is really flavorful, but overly expensive in my opinion. The baristas are great and really nice. A popular coffee shop in the middle of Santana row and 5 minutes walking distance away from Valley Fair. It has a small interior only for waiting for your coffee order but has lots of outdoor seating nearby. They have their coffee beans for sale and a few other merchandise. I ordered the Caffe Mocha hot and it took about 15 minutes from waiting in line to get my order. It was the morning rush, so I can tell the baristas were a bit stressed out. The caffe mocha was delicious with its dark bitter taste that tasted like cacao. Smooth and decadent like a ganache. Good experience and good coffee. read more

I recommend ordering ahead on the app. There's always a line here in the inside of this location is pretty small. I ordered a head and had my coffee within about seven minutes. If you like swanky pretentious coffee, this place is perfect. Honestly it's right in the middle of Santana Row so kind of hard to miss. A small latte is $7.50 and a lemon matcha pound cake is $6. They lost my latte order, so after waiting for 15 minutes, I asked and they (re-)made it. The latte was good but not exceptional. The beans (which they sell for almost $40/pound make for a smooth yet strong espresso. I'm just not sure it's worth the price or the wait. The gentleman behind the counter said they had the single origin, Myanmar blend instead. Ambience in this little area is a park setting, luckily there's a lot of shade even though the children were running around. It looks like a cute little play area with a fountain nearby. I sat off to the side and was amused, listening to the children, play their games and talk about The fountain and how a fountain works well, the mechanics. Lol. There were also at least five barista working inside and they were all busy as could be!! I was really happy with the speed of my service since there were so many people in line ahead of me! Stopped by Blue Bottle Coffee on Saturday morning and it was packed, definitely expect a bit of a wait since it's right in the middle of the shopping strip on Santana Road. Prices are on the higher side but the atmosphere is really nice with beautiful outdoor seating. They're known for their specialty coffee and I tried the cappuccino and a matcha latte with oat milk, both were great with the latte art. I also got the affogato which wasn't that bad and the waffle was surprisingly delicious. Coffee and waffles make it worth swinging by if you happen to be in the area! read more

And I think it's finally time to give them the love they deserve. When it comes to cappuccinos or lattes on oat milk, this is my #1 spot. Always has been. Yes, I've tried other places, but Blue Bottle is the one that never lets me down. The quality, the taste, the consistency -- it's just on another level. I first discovered this place years ago, and since then, no other coffee has really topped it for me. Every cup is smooth, rich, and just right. I don't even have to think twice when I'm craving a good coffee -- it's always Blue Bottle. Recently, I got excited to try their Affogato -- and wow, it was way better than I expected. Creamy, strong, and balanced. I also LOVE that they offer their waffle separately. That's now my go-to duo when I don't feel like getting just a coffee: Affogato + Waffle = perfection. While shopping around at Santana Row, I stopped by Blue Bottle Coffee for a quick afternoon pick-me-up and ordered an espresso. The espresso was prepared quickly and the staff was friendly. While there's no seating space inside, there's a few shaded, cushioned seats -- albeit without tables, outside where you can enjoy your drink. The espresso I ordered was strong and had my preferred level of bitterness to it; I wouldn't hesitate to order it again. If you're looking for something cool and refreshing on a warm day, they also have a wide variety of cold brews available. Certainly not the cheapest cup of coffee you'll find around the area, but I think the quality is there, despite Blue Bottle now being owned by Nestlé. read more

You have to wait by the exit door to hear your name called for your drink. But I do appreciate is that who is always consistent for all the times I've gotten my two or three drinks from there. Everything I've ever ordered from here has been pretty delicious. I love their iced Nola when I need a good amount of caffeine. The shop is a cute little operation in the middle of Santana Row with lovely decor, but it's definitely only big enough for folks to pass on through with their drinks in hand. Briefly order up front and if your order takes a bit you'll get handed a big red beeper that buzzes you audibly after your order is ready for pickup. Their signature Nola has quite the bold fragrance! Never really had anything with quite that blend of creamy and aromatics. Remarkable from the first sip and doesn't let go. Certainly quite good as a go to. Their hot Cardamom latte was just oozing cozy creamy comfort and spiced just right for the flavor without overpowering any element.
