The quality of this after work is so poor. The after care was not even applied as you can see the left over residue. This was ridiculous. Very unsatisfactory. The owner is not a very nice person, considering she makes her own workers pay for her client nails when they're not satisfied, due to her tools not working correctly. Ann does a great job as I have come to her many times before, But this time unfortunately she wasn't able to do my initial request of some ombré nails. Owner was upset I didn't want to pay the initial 80 dollars for the ombré yet she wanted me to pay her when I ended up not even having what I wanted, oh but it was all because they had used another powder, oh and $10 for shape alone. read more

Last week my experience with a new lady working there wasn't very good at all! She cut 8 of my cuticles, was speedy rough and why did my nails itch for 2 days after my gel fill? Redness around the nail edges she cut. I will not let her touch me again. One week later and the gel chipped off one nail. It was the worst gel fill I've ever had. The gel polish has bumps and looks uneven. I know which one I will only let touch my nails, she's gentle and does an excellent job! New lady needs to perfect her work before she does any nails. I've had my nails done here twice. They weren't very approachable towards me on my first visit. I was glad my friend came with me (who had been here a few times). If it weren't for her, I would've been a lost puppy. They instructed her to choose the colors she wanted. They didn't really acknowledge me but I took the cue they gave my friend and chose my color. I wanted a simple nude gel color. The manicure cost $30 (with no design) and it came with a quick neck and arm massage. I've only had a manicure once in my life so I didn't know what to expect. Anyway, I was happy at the end of my first visit because my nails looked pretty. When I got home though, I noticed that she didn't paint my nails all that well because you could see my regular nail color on the tips of my nail. I wanted to give them one more try so we came back again two weeks after my first visit. This visit will definitely be the last one for me. First of all, I don't think it's normal to soak the nails in water and to peel the gel polish off the nails. I don't think that's healthy at all. Secondly, I wanted something green and blue as well as a simple design on both my ring fingers. All I have to say is for 35$, I could've done a much better job doing the design. read more

She really takes her time and is really courteous even when she needs to answer the phone and help other clients. I'm never in a rush so it doesn't bother me one bit. They always have something on the tv so i'm always preoccupied even when i need to wait a little. She made sure everything looked amazing, checked in with me on every stage to ensure i was likening what was happening and was very thourough in helping me find the right colors for the reference photo i was basing these nails off of. 100/10 will choose this place always. This is the most amazing and best place to go for a quick gel manicure. The staff is super sweet and nice. The inside is so calm and relaxing, they even have a huge T.V with great movies that could keep you entertained! This is now my most favorite nail place to go to. The lady who did my nails was very kind and patient with me because I was so indecisive about my nail design. She did an awesome job with my nails. Today was my first time at this salon. I got a standard pedicure and a "powder" manicure. My pedicure was okay. She did all the usual things, but I asked for extra dry skin removal and I felt like she didn't do that. Lily did my manicure and I am very happy with it. The price was $25 for the pedicure and $35 for the manicure $60. Prices seem on the average to high side. I am giving 3.5 stars today. I will defiantly go back again at least for a manicure! read more

I wouldn't recommend going to this place. They are unsanitary, and they talk crap about their clients and they do shitty work and their prices are way over priced compared to their better competitors. Bring you business elsewhere. I took my little 4 year old daughter here for a little mother-and-daughter date night to get a mani-pedi. I am Vietnamese and I can speak and understand fluent Vietnamese, but I don't look like I'm Vietnamese. So you can already imagine how this story goes... Came into the shop and spoke strictly English to them so they don't suspect that I'm Vietnamese. (My way of testing to see what crap they'll say (if any) while they do my nails). Sure enough they started talking about my toes--mind you it has been several months since I've found the time to get a pedicure, so yea understandably it may be a bit atrocious. So free pass there. BUT then they started making comments about my daughter's nose and how "oh she's cute, but her nose is too flarey." Okay, first off--seriously lady you shouldn't be talking when you alone make my feet look like Marilyn Monroe compared to you. Secondly, THAT'S A CHILD you're talking about, and not just any child, it's MY child! Throughout the process they kept talking and making stupid little remarks here and there, including talking about other clients that came in. I didn't bother to say anything or let them know that I understood every word they're saying because I didn't want to make a scene and after all, I didn't want to spoil my 4 year old daughter's first experience at a nail salon and ultimately our time together. (Yes, you idiots are lucky I had my daughter with me that day). As they were working on my toes, one of the ladies asked the girl that's doing my pedicure if she was using her nail clipper that was used on the other guy that she had done a pedicure for. And the girl shrugged and basically said, "oh well". So...you're basically using an UNCLEAN/UNSANITARY equipment that you had jjust used on someone right before me and didn't bother to sanitize it before using it on me??? WOW. Then finally, just as they were finishing up, one of the ladies finally wisened up to ask what ethnicity I was. (This is the part I most enjoyed and proudly announced). I looked her dead in the eyes and said, "Oh I'm Vietnamese." And I got the satisfaction of seeing her face turn pale as if she's seen a ghost and her throat fell to the pit of her stomach. She sheepishly asked, "Oh, YOU'RE Vietnamese?! I thought you were Korean all this time!"(nervous chuckle). Yes idiot, yes I am. Needless to say, they quickly got quiet and stopped talking to eat other since this new found revelation. And then to top it off, what's probably worse than their shit talking, was probably the shitty nail job they've done. I had shellac done on my nails and it was the crappiest work I've ever seen. The lady missed so many spots that there were more "potholes" of missing polish on my nails than that on the moon! But because I am a firm believer of tipping despite shitty service, I only tipped them 7% and the lady had the audacity to give me a disgruntled look because my tip was probably not to her expectations. Like really?! She should be glad I didn't walk out and not pay at all or even give any tip for all her smack talking and her shitty work. So yeah, DON'T come here -- need I say more? read more

Went in to have my nails painted Green with glitter on my nails and toes. The green was fine, but the glitter they used made my nails look turquoise. Not only that, but the polish started coming off that next day. Went back to have them fixed....all they did was dab some polish on the areas (there were 4 nails that already started losing the polish) Next day, more polish coming off. Way too expensive to have polish start chipping off the next day. Wont be going back there again. read more

Nail tech was courteous but I could sense she was in a hurry to get home. I felt like she rushed work on me. No other customers in the shop. My first time - I was called 90 minutes before my scheduled appointment and told that there was an emergency gas leak. Thus, my appointment was cancelled. I scheduled the appointment for the last day they would be open, because I was going on a 3 week trip and wanted a mani and pedi for the trip. They were closing until mid Feb. Nail salons are a dime a dozen around here, more prolific than even Starbucks stores. However, good ones can be hard to find. Orchid is a good one, recommended to me by my DIL. I think it opened a few months before COVID shut everything down, so I was glad to give them my business. I called and was able to get an appointment right away. The salon was clean and comfortable, and the staff was able to accommodate me and a group of young people getting manicures on the other side of the salon with no problems. I had the mint pedicure, which pampered me for $35, and look forward to going back again. read more

Very disappointing experience here. Only 4 other customers when I walked in. I was seated quickly and in about ten minutes one of the women there began working on my right hand nails. She said something and got up and left me sitting with one hand in foil, the other the same as when I entered. I happened to see my person now busy doing a pedicure. After 40 minutes! a different woman came and did my left hand and the first woman stopped her, returned and put my left hand in a heated pot holder and left again. I noticed the shop to be extremely clean and the employees were all very professional and friendly. Wendy was my technician and she was fantastic. This will be my regular salon from now on. Didn't take the bright red nail polish off all the way before starting and when I asked for almond shape I got almost stiletto before being ignored after asking 3 times to get the whole nail painted, then after arguing that the unpainted nail looked fine, she STILL didn't paint it. Since the salon is under new ownership however I have experienced even friendlier service and better work done on my nails, the quality has gotten even better. All of the ladies are kind and friendly and do great work. You can tell they care about their job and the work they do. They offer a lot, all you have to do is ask. I was surprised to read the negative reviews below. I've been coming here for the last few months after recently moving to the area. I tried several places in the Tacoma area, and finally settled on this one after the AMAZING massages and extra care they took with my feet (which are quite ticklish!). I'm planning on going in for the third time tomorrow! The last two times I've gone they were welcoming and quick to serve me, even though I was a walk-in. The atmosphere is laid back and pleasant, the massage pedicure chairs are modern and clean, the women who worked on my fingers and toes were attentive and focused. They were friendly without drowning me in chitchat while I'm relaxing and being pampered. Also, just to clarify one of the reviews below, it is DEFINITELY normal to soak off gel polish, in fact that is the recommended method, making it much easier to remove than simply scrapping it off (with the top layer of your nail!). read more

I have come to this place a few times in the past. I was last there about 3-4 days ago to remove my acrylics. Today I realized I am getting some type of fungus on nearly all my nails. They didn't look this way the day I got my nails off, so that's how I know I got it afterward.
