Just parked and was walking across the street when I got the call saying I was 10 min late and that they wouldn't take me on a Sunday. Gel mani and regular pedi. $38 for gel mani and $28 regular pedi. Oh well, you lost my business. Way overpriced for rude service. Was a walk-in last time, as they decided to take me ( I could have gone somewhere else as I was window shopping since I just moved to Pleasanton). They however said yes, we'll take you but proceeded to make stink faces the entire nail session because they accepted to do my nails as a walk-in 50 min before they closed. They kept saying make an appt, make an appt next time while they were removing my polish. Made it an extremely uncomfortable experience. I wasn't happy with my first experience of how they treated a walk-in so I decided to make an appt. To give them a second shot, Two times a charm. I'm actually happy NOT to support this business as I think other places provide better customer service and are much cheaper. For $66 not including tip, here's a tip *-treat your customers poorly and they will go elsewhere. Will update on recommendations to other places. Walked down the street towards Downtown, next to Gay Ninties Pizza, Went to Bollinger and just finished my gel mani-and reg pedi. I asked for an extra foot scrub, 2 people working on me and done in an hour. Got to be in the heart of downtown and saw the Veterans parade start right outside the salon. $73 awesome service at BOLLINGER so would recommend Bollinger or any other place instead of Whatever that places name. Right from my phone call to make an appointment, I knew that this place was a lot different. The lady who I spoke to was very friendly and made sure that they can accommodate the 3 of us at the same time. I wanted to take my mom and grandma out for a nice girls day out for their birthdays and Orchideee being one of our stops did not disappoint! I love that the whole salon does not smell like acrylic or any other chemicals (which usually triggers my migraine). They are strictly organic and man does it pay off! The whole place smelled amazing. I couldn't stop gushing about how good everything smelled! Just like what some reviewers have said...these massage chairs are THE bomb diggity. I was trying so hard to not fall asleep and snore lol Tuan and his whole staff are top notch. They made sure to take their time and not once did I feel like they were rushing through our mani/pedi. This was always my favorite place to have a mani/pedi; they do a fine job and the setting is very relaxing. However, their customer service is far below par. I called on Friday morning for a Saturday appointment. They said "2 pedicures at 10:00, right?" I said yes. "We'll see you tomorrow." When we arrived on time, they had not written our names in their appointment book. I understand that things get overlooked, however it was the way they treated us while we were there that just shocked me. They never apologized for the oversight, they never took accountability for this oversight. Instead, they showed us the appointment book and turned around and walked away. We sat there for a few minutes expecting them to apologize for their mistake, and to offer to rebook, but they did not. They walked away and completely ignored us. Never once did they acknowledge us as we sat there waiting for a resolution. When people work in service professions, they really need to be taught how to be customer friendly. They, sadly, were not. We will no longer be giving them our business. We walked down the street and were warmly greeted by a new nail salon called Hasu Nails. This is the best gem on Main Street. Nicely decorated. Clean and great pedicures. I usually get the "regular" Or basic but the special offerings are so unique and fun. Mango is so nice a soothing. Orange is perfectly scented and invigorating. The polis lasts a long time. The staff is friendly and attentive. Having an appointment is the way to go. They get busy and since it's on the smaller size can sometimes be hard to get in last minute. read more

I've come here a few times and they've always done a good job but the last time I went, I think last week, I showed up without an appointment and they said they could take me. I picked a sparkle color that was a light blue. I noticed she was putting on a dark blue base coat and I told her oh no I didn't want a dark color! She said she knew what she was doing. When it was done it was ugly and I said I didn't want that color. The lady doing my toes got up and ran to get the colors to show me that it's because the base of the fake nail was white and mine aren't... she was yelling. Soon as I walked in I knew I liked this place. I had to get a pedicure super last minute and decided to do a Yelp search while I was here in Pleasanton for business. I was instantly given an appointment when I called. The ambiance, music and overall atmosphere is so calming. The staff were so sweet and I loved the massage chair they use. One of the best I've experienced by far! The woman who did my manicure was very attentive and knew when to ask for my preference about something and when to let me doze peacefully while she worked on my toes. The price point was actually a lot more reasonable than I was expecting, especially for the quality of the service I chose. I don't live near the area but will be sure to come here next time I'm in town. I stumbled upon this gem through yelp. This place is amazing. I had called and booked the appointment for that same day. Nice layout, plenty of chairs. Relaxing music in the background. I was anticipating the regular pedicure and manicure process like I get from your typical nail salon. NOPE. They went above and beyond! The massage chairs were comfortable, the warm towels were a nice addition. Basically it felt like we were at a spa. They offer natural nail service (so no acrylics) which we didn't mind because my mom and I, we like shellac. The ladies were very nice. One major plus; they don't over book themselves. Third time at this salon. I really wanted to support them because the older lady seems sweet and they don't seem to be very busy. It's also 5 minutes from work. The other manicurist I saw today (and also had seen the last time I was here) seemed annoyed when I reacted after she was using one of the tools and a product and it stung me - when she filed my nails it also filed some of my skin. Then she seemed frustrated a few minutes later when I told her that she could use more pressure when she was massaging me - she was barely putting any effort behind it. I gave her the benefit of the doubt last time, but today was not enjoyable. 3 stars because she did a decent job with the color, but the whole experience was just not what I was looking for or paid for. This is my absolute favorite Bay Area nail salon. The energy is very calm, it's quiet other than the peaceful instrumental muzak, they do a fabulous job on my nails every time, the massage chairs do the trick, the owner seems kind and calm, no one is shouting or gossiping, and their manicure lights don't use UV so it's safer for your skin! I should have known. The place was EMPTY upon entering, on a weekend mid-day. I like a hot soak pedicure, but this place requires it's staff to lug a small bowl of lukewarm water to your seat. I felt badly for them. Then I had to balance in the awkward chair with my legs extended while my hands and feet were being worked on -- but zero coordination happened. When one lady was digging, tugging, scraping the other one was massaging. Not relaxing at all, especially because I was balancing tools on my legs and had them extended straight out and not relaxed. At the end of it all, my toes don't look great and one of the nails was cut so painfully on the side I need to go somewhere else and have it fixed. Skip/Avoid. read more

Just got out of my first appointment and cannot begin to express how impressed I was with the service. Instead of staring at a row of bottles, trying to pick out a color (and crowding around others), I was invited to sit and handed a nail color palette with all the different shades the salon offered. The technician asked about how I wanted my nails trimmed, working to make sure it was a length and shape I wanted. The pedicure experience was so relaxing and the technician took the time to remove some calluses I had from the winter. Finally, this nail salon doesn't offer acrylics. I know some people like them, but the noise and the smell is terribly off-putting and I usually leave with a mild headache from others around me. The people here are really, really nice and friendly. You get the feeling they truly care about you as a customer. If I was just rating their friendliness, I'd give 5 stars. 1) I'm deducting a star for a couple of reasons. I paid $50 for the Organic Honey Milk & White Chocolate pedicure, which is double what I normally pay at my 'regular' nail salon for a pedicure, but I decided to treat myself. My feet were put in a metal bowl with lukewarm milk (I couldn't tell if honey and chocolate were also in it but I'll assume so). It was "okay." I know it's supposed to be more sanitary but I found myself missing the hot, jetted tubs from my regular salon, and I wasn't sure I was feeling or receiving any additional benefit by soaking my feet in a bowl of lukewarm milk. The pedicure description on their website says you get a "callus buffing" with the treatment, standard for all pedicures, but since it was specifically mentioned in the description for that pedicure and not mentioned on any of the others, I figured maybe more time would be spent on it, but it was very quick. I get more of a callus buffing at my regular salon for $25 than I did at Orchidee for $50. The only difference between this pedi and my regular pedi was the bowl of milk & a sugar scrub that was briefly used to clean or scrub my legs, and I didn't feel it was worth $50 + tip. 2) Manicure. Nice but the girl put 3 coats of polish on my nails without asking me if I wanted a 3rd coat. Normally I get 2 coats and my experiences at other salons is to ask if you want a 3rd. By the time I realized what she was doing, she had already done half of one hand, so I didn't feel comfortable asking her to take off the polish on those nails and start all over so I could limit it to 2 coats. Of course, because the polish was so thick with 3 coats on my nails, even though I waited an appropriate amt of time for my nails to dry and leave the salon, I still ended up denting 2 of my nails just by reaching into my purse to pay them and then to get my keys for my car. I paid all this money for a fancy, expensive manicure and left with dented fingernails because the polish was too thick with 3 coats. A nice place if you have money to burn, and a longgg time to sit and wait for 3 coats of polish to be perfectly dry, but I just didn't feel the services were worth the value. read more

The salon is absolutely pristine, and these are the best massage chairs I have ever sat in (and I've been to a lot of salons). Everyone here is really friendly.
