As someone that lived in Arizona for several years, I love Oregano's! It is my absolute favorite chain and the only thing I talked about consistently after moving to the east coast. When I finally had a trip planned back to Arizona after 4 years away, this was number one on my bucket list and I had the whole menu picked out in my head months in advanced. Unfortunately my high expectations were not fully met. My friends and I (a party of 5) got to the restaurant around 7:30pm on a weeknight and had to wait a few minutes for them to seat us. It was not busy at the restaurant, but this was fine. Once we sat down though, we felt ignored by the server. She took our drink order, brought the non alcoholic ones out, and then disappeared for a while. We had to flag down another server to put in our food order. Oregano's is famous for their pan pizza and I was excited to order it. Well turns out...they were out for the night. I was then going to pivot to my second favorite dish - zany ziti in a bread bowl. They had the zany ziti dish but they no longer put it in a bread bowl. It was disappointing but I then decided to try something new - their thin crust pizza. The server taking our order explained that ownership changed hands about 2 years ago so there was some overhaul on the dishes. I also noticed this when we ordered our appetizer, the guaca-tony. It used to be Italian guacamole served on top of pizza crust chips in the shape of a pizza. Instead, the pizza crust was pre-cut up when served to us. Despite all the little food hurdles, everything tasted excellent. If you're able to get the pan pizza, do it! However, the thin crust pizza isn't bad. The guaca-tony still was tasty in the new format. We ended the meal with a pizza cookie for dessert. My favorite thing is getting two different cookie flavors. This location had plenty of parking! Oregano's is super casual so I recommend it for anyone looking for some good Italian food. They sometimes have specials going on for a date night, so get on their email list too. read more

We've been going to Oreganos for a long time and have found some to be hit-and-miss but whatever they're doing here I hope they replicate everywhere The iced tea was great / tasted like things were well and frequently cleaned, the floors weren't at all greasy, and, of course, the pizza was great. My family ordered oreganos to go tonight. I ordered the original bollo with gluten free penne. When I opened my food container, my pasta was extremely over cooked and so mushy it was one giant blob. I appreciate restaurants offering gluten free options, but if you can't cook the pasta right it's almost not worth it. read more

The Bellini was only $7, but you need to buy $10 worth of food to get that price. This is a terrible scam as most appetizers are under ten bucks. Really bad to do that to customers with really fine print. I got them back with a free $8.55 birthday cookies skillet. The rasta pasta i had was decent, but not their best offering. read more

Oreganos is always good! No matter what location, they are always consistent. The menu is huge so there is something for everyone. The ambiance is great. It's causal, family friendly, with lots of 1950's memorabilia and Sinatra playing in the background. I love all their clever t-shirt slogans. We always get the Oreganos Favorite Salad with the roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, and sun dried tomatoes. It comes with a honey vinaigrette dressing that's light and fresh. I love they serve the salad with chilled salad bowls. Our go-to pizza is the Bistro Classic. We get the 18 inch on purpose so we have left overs because it's just so good! It's a white pizza with a garlic sauce, topped with thinly sliced tomato, red onion, basil, and Italian cheeses. It's perfection! We can never leave without getting a Pizzookie! Oreganos is home of the original Pizza Cookie! Cookie dough, slightly baked with vanilla bean ice cream! My kids like the chocolate chip, but you can also get white chocolate macadamia nut, peanut butter, or do a half and half combination. Their motto is...the key to happiness is friends, good food, and music! Pretty sure they nail this every time! read more

Super friendly staff! We ordered the six pack shrimp as a starter, the meatballs for my toddler and a pizza for us (forgot to take a photo). My son loved the meatballs. The shrimp might have been undercooked a tad, guess I'll find out soon, but wasn't sure. I ate it anyway. Outside was a light pink but the inside was a little glassy and opaque looking. I could tell a shrimp had been cut into, which makes me think the chef checked. The bread was delicious as it soaked up the oil and seasonings. I forgot the name of the pizza we ordered but it had sausage, and a thinner meat on it. Im more of a Napoli/ Neapolitan type of pizza lover but liked the thin crust crunch this pizza had. read more

I had lunch today at Oregano's and it was wonderful. The outstanding part of Oregano's is the service and the people who provide it. From hostess to waiter to bartender, all the employees display an attitude of welcoming and caring. They were so friendly and concerned about customers getting what they wanted; you rarely see that demonstrated by every employee. I think it starts with the manager who was everywhere all the time checking on customers. The ambiance is great because they play old music, Sinatra and others of that era that I cannot now recall but it makes you feel good to be there. The rest of the ambiance is fine but I found myself loving the music. The food was good. I had the Oregano's salad and I enjoyed it but suggest less dressing. I think most people would feel really welcome here and glad they had selected this restaurant. Highly recommended. read more

After a bumpy start (no server for over 15 minutes and even then I had to yell for attention), Amanda came to the rescue. She was phenomenal. First she got our party great cheese garlic bread. We ordered a pan Clark Street Meat Pizza and Aunt Magherita Pizza with roasted garlic. The meat pizza came out timely but Amanda would not bring the Margherita because it was too brown. She had the kitchen make us a new one! The meat pizza was great. The Margherita was nice (great cheese) but some of the tomatoes were not very flavorful. Oregano's is a long time favorite. Kathy is one of the great servers and she remembers our lunch order every time. The Picasso salad is our favorite and unique to Oregano's. The pizza cookie is fantastic so try to save room for dessert. read more

The location at Cactus and Tatum has excellent service. Multiple times we were asked by managers how the meal was, and our server was outstanding. With two young kids it's helpful having great service. This is an easy place to continually come back to because of the ease in taking children. Food is always very quality - and good kids options/portions. read more

When we asked for a table, they said the wait was 15-20 mins. We ended up waiting for over 40 minute, then they set our family for 5 to a small table for four people. The back of the booth is dusty and my son had to wash his hands twice after touching it. The server only gave us water and drink once. No extra napkins. We had to ask for cheese. Meat sauce pasta was not served but with marinara sauce. They fixed it after realizing they made a mistake. There was also pasta on the ground my little one stepped onto. I have been to so many other oreganos and been treated nicely feeling like a family friendly restaurant. How we were treated tonight is so disappointing. My girlfriend and I went here late on a Sunday night. It wasn't too busy and we were able to be seated right away. Our waiter was very nice and patient. We ordered a half and half pizza with half bbq chicken and have oregano's speciality pizza as well as toasted ravioli for an appetizer. The toasted ravioli was incredible and I would definitely get it again. The pizza was good as well but not necessarily the best pizza I've ever had. Az a kid growing up in AZ I have been to oreganos a lot but my girlfriend has never been so she wanted to go. It's a good spot to check out if you've never been! read more

The service was excellent and patient. My older parents took their time and were not rushed. Server was attentive and kept our glasses full and provided everything we needed. I always have a great time and Juan my bartender is always great. Though last nights visit was a little weird as I was telling the bartender about the political comment the other customer made a manger showed up and said then they should all be hung. I get we all have our beliefs and ideas but maybe not shared at the bar and as management of an establishment. This same manager advised the hosts that she cant drink water at the front stand and needs to go in back but then they get in trouble for not being up front when customers are at the door. Love my bartender but the management interaction was very off last night. read more

Oreganos is always a fine chain. It typically has predictable service and consistent food options. Kaboom dip is good. Offer Coke products which is a plus. This one was having air conditioning issues...in the summer heat of AZ. Definitely not ideal; the staff clearly didn't know there was an issue but the right thing would have been to proactively tell customers. Kind of a bummer that turned the experience a bit sour - customers were fanning themselves with the menus for a small relief. Hopefully they get it fixed soon! Every time I'm in the southwest there is one local hole in the wall establishment I must visit and that place is Oregano's. This particular experience was extra special thanks to Cathy at the bar. We didn't bother waiting for a table, we knew Cathy would care for us the way no one else could. The Bellini is perfection, and you can't go wrong with the cheese bread and marinara sauce. I love Oreganos. There used to be one at Scottsdale Road & Shea that I loved. I don't know why they closed it, it was always packed. The one in old town Scottsdale moved too. The original location was special - I used to go there with my family all the time and that's actually the last meal I had with my brother before he passed. The picture I took of him sitting on the bench outside is the picture we used in his obituary because he looked so happy. So thank you for the beautiful memories. The food is delicious. I always get salad & a glass of Chianti. My mom gets the Italian Wedding soup. Service is great. Ambiance is so cute and fun. I really miss this 2 Scottsdale locations though. They had a vibe with the mural paintings that the Paradise Valley one and the South Scottsdale ones don't have. read more

While my order arrived in a reasonable amount of time, the service was extremely disappointing. I asked for Parmesan cheese, but the server never returned until long after my party had finished eating. She spent about ten minutes chatting with the table next to us about her nursing school instead of checking on us. When she finally came back, she didn't acknowledge the delay and immediately asked if we needed boxes. My pasta was supposed to be unlimited, yet no additional serving was ever offered. With how expensive dining out has become, providing basic, attentive service shouldn't be too much to expect. Especially when the restaurant less than 25% full. read more

Ive been a loyal patron for years. The past few visits have been sub par. Tonight i ordered a salad and Alfredo the dark pasta to go. The pasta was extremely disappointing. The pasta was dry. No sauce. Thank goodness I ordered an extra sauce on the side. But the extra sauce was watery and flavorless. It pains me to say this but the quality has really gone down. Wife and I have been dining here fairly regularly for nearly 20 years (as well as at three other Oregano's locations) so I feel qualified to write this review. Pre-pandemic we almost always dined in but these days we mostly do takeout. This location has delivered consistently good tasting food post-pandemic whereas most of the other restaurants we frequent have gone down in quality. So kudos to the owners for maintaining quality with only a modest increase in price. Seating insides includes a comfortable mix of booths, tables, high tops and a bar area. Ambiance is great and the mix of Sinatra and 1940s big band style music is the perfect choice. Food wise, pretty much everything on the menu is delicious with the shrimp-based dishes, chick parm (with house made fettuccine!) and spaghetti with meatballs being standouts. The marinara meat sauce is seriously good and the meatballs are tender and herbaceous. And the garlic bread is to die for. Seriously, I could eat an entire loaf and still go back for more. They serve huge salads that are delicious with the Caesar being my personal favorite. If you order anything in their marinara sauce be sure to order a glass or two of their Placido Chianti -- it's excellent. Okay, just so this doesn't come off as a total rave, I will say that the indoor dining area isn't quite as clean as I would like to see (something the Old Town Scottsdale location also seems to struggle with) so we usually choose to eat in the patio area. Also, the bargain Midday Rush portions are smaller than they used to be with prices close to regular dining. But aside from that this and other Oregano's locations are our go-to choice for great tasting yet still affordable Italian. read more

Oregano's....the forgotten place, sometimes. I have one near my house, literally a few blocks away, but I never go, because my wife doesn't like it, and I always forget about it. My bad, my bad. Oregano's is awesome! We went to this location for lunch after a volunteer event a few weeks back. I love their lunch menu! Great options, and great prices. Most stuff is under $10.00 M-F. I went with an Antipasto Thing salad, and a "Heckuva Slice" of pizza. Salad was $9.95 and the slice of pizza was like $4.50. Had a Diet Pepsi to drink. How was everything? Antipasto Thing Salad- Oh my gosh! This may have been the single best salad I have ever had in my life. This thing is PACKED with Romaine lettuce, tons and tons of cold cut meats, red onions, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, pepperoncinis, and cheese curds. What? Did you say cheese curds? You're god damn right I said cheese curds! All of this is coated in a great tasting Italian dressing. This salad is so tasty! Just get it, you won't be sorry! Every single bite was amazing! I was sad when the bowl was empty! Heckuva Slice- This thing is massive! It is legit, 2 huge slices of pizza. Oregano's pizza is super duper thin crust. I got plain cheese, and it was awesome! They use really good cheese! I enjoyed the heck out of my slice! Service was just alright. Rookie waiter, forgot a few things, wasn't too on top of drink refills and such. He was nice, just not too attentive. Overall, really enjoyed my lunch here. For less than $15.00 (my company paid for my lunch), you get a massive salad that is perfect, and a massive 2 slices of cheese pizza. The worst experience. There was a loud banging noise every 3-5mins. We were seated next to the kitchen and had to listen to a waitress discuss her bloody knee and some other dude ask about a catering order obsessively. The restaurant was empty and they stuck the few customers they did have by the kitchen/restrooms. The waited asked if we were ready to order, when I said no he came back 2 mins later. Are you not allowed to have conversations sand read the menus when you arrive? You need to pre-read and have your order ready when you arrive. There were less than 4 tables.
