BBQ Salad & Corn Chowder + the Premium Chocolate-dipped Strawberry
    Autumn L.

Amazing spot for a fresh dining experience!! We are Ca natives so Panera would be the closest equivalent BUT Café Zupas far exceeds the quality & taste! We ordered 3 of the combos (choice of 1/2 sandwich, salad or soup) all were fantastic. The sammy's were yummy & toasty. The soups seemed homemade vs pre-packaged. And you are treated with a little chocolate covered strawberry for dessert!! Service was informative (since this was our initial visit we had questions re: the ordering process) The dining area is a little sterile however it bodes well for a clean feeling. It could have a bit more homey feeling to the dining area altho that doesn't detract from the quality & freshness of the food I recommend this café to anyone looking for a quick fresh delish healthy option

Cafe Zupas is located in the Desert Ridge Marketplace. Service was great today. I asked about the ingredients in two different power bowls. Staff were well versed in both bowls. After the descriptions, I decided on the Southwest power bowl to go. The bowl was made quickly and without incident. The bowl includes. Mixed greens, corn, olives, avocado, chicken chunks, tomatoes, pepitas, black beans, rice and goat cheese. The trademark comp chocolate covered strawberry accompanied my order and off I went. I had a portion of the bowl for lunch. It was fresh and delicious. I liked all the combinations of ingredients. I would definitely order it again. Shared parking lot.

Disappointed with whole experience today. I got the chicken enchilada soup which was largely just broth and it was barely warm. I ordered a small fountain drink and when I came around the corner I saw that they didn't have the normal refresher drinks or Italian sodas and I don't really drink the soda from machines. Several disgruntled customers in waiting area that had been waiting for their orders. Plus dining area was a mess. I loved this place but will have to pass from now on. At least this location.

We had sandwiches catered from Zupas at work, their sandwiches are so delicious! My favorite sandwich was the Italian club on their nice soft bread! Perfect lunch.

The menu features enough sausage options to think there was a factory out back. There were over 10 varieties to choose from, and after a brief existential crisis, I settled on the two sausages with sauerkraut. They were so good I immediately regretted not ordering a few more links. That's the missing link in my decision-making process. Then came the potato and cheddar pierogies. Naturally, I smothered them in bacon, sautéed onions, and sour cream because moderation is for people eating salads. Each bite tasted like a warm hug from someone's Ukrainian (grandma) who also wanted to make sure you never skipped a meal again. Just when I thought my arteries had filed for divorce, dessert arrived: a cottage cheese crepe with berry sauce that was somehow light, rich, sweet, and ridiculously good all at once. This isn't a place that wastes time trying to impress you with Edison bulbs, reclaimed wood, or a menu that describes water as "locally sourced." They let the food do the talking, and the food basically says, "Sit down, you're too skinny."

We continue to be impressed by both the quality and creativity of their food. On this visit, I ordered The Pilgrim, which is essentially Thanksgiving dinner wrapped inside a pasty. It features turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and gravy. It arrived absolutely piping hot--seriously, give it a few minutes before taking that first bite--but once it cooled down, it was phenomenal. The combination of flavors was comforting and satisfying, and a little cranberry sauce with each bite provided the perfect balance. My only minor critique would be that the ingredients could have been distributed a bit more evenly throughout the pasty. I also found the gravy slightly more peppery than expected, occasionally overshadowing the stuffing, sweet potatoes, and turkey. Even so, this has become my favorite pasty at Cornish Pasty Co. We also tried the Peppered Steak pasty, which features sirloin, portobello mushrooms, leeks, zucchini, Stilton bleu cheese, and a peppercorn brandy cream sauce. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, especially the steak and the wonderfully flaky crust. For my personal taste, the peppercorn brandy cream sauce was a little more prominent than I prefer, and I found myself wanting more of the steak, mushroom, and Stilton flavors to come through. That's simply a matter of preference, though--it was still a well-executed dish made with quality ingredients. One thing Cornish Pasty Co. consistently gets right is the crust. Every pasty we've had has been flaky, flavorful, and substantial without feeling heavy. This wasn't our first experience with their menu. Over the years we've thoroughly enjoyed the Tikka Masala, the Lamb & Mint (which was a genuine "wow" dish), and the Royale. Those are all excellent choices, but after this visit, The Pilgrim has moved to the top of my personal rankings. Our two pasties came in under $20 each, making for a filling and satisfying meal at a reasonable price. We ordered takeout, and while there was a bit of a wait after we arrived, it's worth noting that these are made-to-order pasties, not fast food. Even though we only ordered a few minutes before arriving, the quality was well worth the extra time. My biggest criticism has nothing to do with the food. While waiting, my wife and I sat inside briefly, and we found the music extremely loud. During our visit, the restaurant was playing Silth, a progressive metalcore band. Musical tastes are obviously subjective, but the combination of the style and volume made conversation difficult for us. My wife eventually decided to wait in the car because it was simply too loud. The restaurant clearly aims for a lively pub atmosphere, with games available and a diverse mix of patrons enjoying themselves, so many people may appreciate that environment. It just wasn't a great fit for us. That said, the food is outstanding, the portions are generous, and we'll absolutely be back. We'll probably continue ordering takeout, but that's a reflection of our personal preferences rather than any issue with the restaurant itself. If you're looking for creative, well-made pasties with high-quality ingredients, Cornish Pasty Co. is definitely worth a visit.

I had to panic order, and ended up with the Chicken Greek. Regardless of it being the backup choice, it was still pretty good. I could see wanting takeout from here many more times if I lived closer. The drink menu was very interesting - I had the Oaxacan Pineapple and asked if it could be made spicy, and it was probably the best drink I'd had all week. Service was great and parking was easy. I was impressed and would recommend it to anyone that wants a good meal.

Walked in to a nearly empty restaurant -- just one other customer -- and wasn't greeted. The AC was off with only a few floor fans running, making the space feel suffocating. After waiting 30 minutes for my spring rolls (in an almost empty restaurant), they arrived with no peanut sauce and zero apology from the staff. By this point I was flushed, short of breath, and feeling faint from the heat and poor air circulation. I politely let the male server know I was overheating and felt like I might faint. His response? He told me the AC was on and to "drink more water" -- in a rude, dismissive tone -- then walked away to greet a new customer. I packed up my spring rolls to go and paid without a word. He didn't seem surprised. It felt like this was a pattern he was used to. After leaving I checked other reviews -- long wait times, poor atmosphere, and rude staff are recurring themes. I'm adding my experience to save others the trip. Don't waste your time or money here.
