I placed our party of 6 on the waitlist (Yelp) and received a confirmation to arrive in 30 minutes with seating 10 minutes afterwards. The hostess had no record of our booking and even after I showed her my app and text message, she implied that I had "probably" listed at another location. I showed her my app and she never apologized, and so we waited for 45 minutes. We were almost going to request a manager when the hostess finally said they were clearing a table for us......another 10 minute wait, Our server, Todd, was amazing, His service almost made up for the hostess, but not quite. This was a birthday celebration, and Todd did tell our special guest happy birthday and apologized that her meal was 25 minutes later than everyone else's. Good grief!! Her husband's pasta was COLD, not even lukewarm. Todd did make the evening bearable, and the other meals (especially the thin crust chicken pizza) was good. We won't return though. Yummy, Yummy, and yummy. Okay so this review is coming from a ridiculously picky eater (i think im more plain that picky). We got lucky went on a non busy day at lunch time and only waited about 5 minutes. I ordered the closest item to an alfredo chicken, which was there Alfredo the Dark, and when it came I was a bit skeptical. It was this huge plate with all sorts of tomatoes, shredded chicken and pasts somewhere in there. I went for it took my first bite and it was yummy. So much flavor and very different. I loved the desert! Cookies chips with ice cream on top! The portion of food was big! The place quite loud so it was hard to talked with friend infront of you. The patio was nice chair setting and it was great for romantic dinner. I had alfredo pasta, root beer rum, and desert with total about $20-ish. The plate was big enough for two! It was delish! Came in a bread crust/bowl and a side of garlic bread. Aunt ordered the Chicken Parmesan with a side of pasta. Cousin ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad and it was mountainous! They both liked their plate. Service was average. I thought they served garlic bread while you wait for your food, I could be mistaken.. but they didn't do it this time. Our server came to refill our waters. I was craving a good Chicago style deep dish, and I tried a few others in the area so decided to give this a go! Pricing was comparable to other places in the area. I got a deep dish with mushrooms. There was plenty of sauce and cheese, not enough shrooms. The flavor was good, and it was cooked through perfectly. I'm used to a Chicago style with the sauce on top, but this was under the cheese. Which is fine, but sometimes that can maje the crust too soggy. Luckily that wasn't the case with this pizza. I would get it again, but maybe with extra toppings and I'll look forward to comparing a coolness others first! read more

This place as gone downhill quite a bit. We went for lunch and wanted the bruschetta but was told they took it off the menu because they couldn't get the ingredients anymore. How are you unable to get French bread and tomatoes? We then ordered, an appetizer, spaghetti and meatballs, a kids lunch and a salad. We asked for extra ranch for our app, which was brought out when we were done eating the app. The salad portions were much larger in the past, or I got a lunch portion which I didn't ask for. The server forgot to put my daughters kids meal order in, which I don't know how when he wrote it down and asked if we wanted hers to come first. He brought the spaghetti and salad and didn't ask us if we needed anything or come back to check on us. After about 10 mins of trying to flag him AND the manager down I had to get up and walk over to where they make the food to make sure her order was in. 20 mins later she had basically raw cheese ravioli and what they call meat sauce. They did compensate us for my daughters mean ($5) and my husbands which we got to go. Just frustrating as a mom when you go out to lunch with a toddler (who normally doesn't get out much) and expect decent service. I'd spend your money elsewhere. read more

I love this place! We hadn't been to Oreganos in a while and after reading some of the negative reviews on here I was afraid things had changed. We were a party of six. The wait was about 20 -25min which sucks but is normal here since it is always packed. We ordered 18 wings as an appetizer we combined two sauces together as was suggested by our server. Everyone loved the wings. I was surprised they were so big. We ordered a large ham, pineapple and red jalapeno thin crust pizza, a large ceasar's salad with chicken and a flag lasagna dish. Went out with my family and we wanted to try a place that we've never been. A friend of mine referred me to this restaurant. Upon arrival you're greeted by a very decorative, and themed setting. Once you enter the doors you'll be greeted by friendly staff. We were seated quickly even though the restaurant was pretty packing. Which was shocking on a Thursday. I love this Italian restaurant it is my favorite. Plus it is also vegetarian friendly which can be hard to find. You walk into a green and red retro restaurant with music playing dim lighting and old photographs all over the walls. The service is friendly and welcoming. Waiting to sit can be long at night. There are so many different options to choose from. Also although it can be expensive the servings are huge which means lots of leftovers. Waiting for food also takes a while but only because they freshly cook everything. I had the delicious Ceaser salad with lots of toppings and the garlic cheesy bread which is always so warm buttery cheezy and delicious. Then I had the Moms Spicy Mac and Cheese which had a lot of flavor breadcrumbs and toppings the food is always very hot and fresh. Super good! Try it you will not regret it. read more

I am happy to report that Oreganos has stepped up its game. Our previously terrible experience was all but forgotten tonight. The updated system of checking in and getting a text message when your table is ready was a welcomed feature. I also enjoyed the fact that you could track your spot in line online. Once we were seated we were greeted quickly and ordered right away. Our food arrived within normal time standards and the best part was that it tasted great! Our whole party was impressed with their food. The scampi was the table fav. There were about 6 very large shrimp all cooked just right. My husbands chicken parm was also very tasty. We decided to try out the cookie dessert with the ice cream and it was the perfect. Our server Neylan was very sweet and attentive. Water was brought when needed and she checked in often. I showed up with a party of 6 last Wednesday, was told there was a 45 minute wait. Once we placed our meals, we waited another 45 minutes for the meals to arrive, one at a time. It was almost an hour wait for everyone to receive their plates. The restaurant was not that busy that evening. I was assuming the kitchen was understaffed, but when we left the restaurant, I counted six people working the kitchen (could have been more, as I could not see the whole kitchen area). I understand that there are take out orders too, but there was no excuse for this. The waiter was over-apologetic, with no excuse for the wait. Placed a takeout order right when they opened on Saturday, May 2nd. We ordered the big beef sandwich with waffle fries and Alfredo the Dark with chicken. I ordered over the phone and the food was ready in 20 minutes. Large portions for a fair price ($29.10). The pasta was delicious, although lacking in seasoning (easily fixed with a dash of seasoning salt). My husband had the sandwich and said 80% of it was on point - the other part was heavily salted to the point of being inedible. He said the waffle fries were good. The one strange thing is that the woman working the counter wore a mask and was behind a plexiglass shield, but NO ONE in the open kitchen wore a mask. The only reason I'm not posting a five star review is...truth be told, I have only ever eaten one dish at Oregano's and honestly don't know a thing about the rest of their menu! When Oregano's opened their first place in Tucson, on Speedway Blvd. near Rosemont, I went with friends to check it out and ordered the Beefstro Salad. It was the best salad I had ever tasted, and I have been a fan ever since! I often visit the restaurant with other people, and they seem happy with their food, but I stick with the Beefstro because it is still the very best salad EVER. Don't take my word for it. Our first time at Oreganos, all I can say is that the food is expensive for the product you get. I got the "numero-uno" pizza and it wasn't very filling, quite skimpy in my opinion. I was expecting something big and full of toppings for a 12inch $19 pizza, the garlic bread and chicken lasagna were decent. Overall not anything special or to brag about.. The service was great, very prompt and made sure we were kept full of water and such throughout the meal. Our daughter was given some dough to play with, which she inevitably ate (15 month old). I don't remember exactly what I ordered, but I remember I LOVED it. I was expecting to eat maybe half, as I wasn't really super hungry, but I ate the whole thing! It was sooo good. I'm sure if I saw the menu I would be able to pick it out, but can't remember off the top of my head. The flavor of the dish was great, and the service even better - which made our night. read more

However oreganos has redone their menu and it seems their pasta and such has changed. Really seems like whatever organizational changes that have been going on are for the worse. We visit Oregano's Bistro several times a month and enjoy their food and service. Our complaint is the physical part of the restaurant. It is badly out of date and needs to be seriously updated. The current establishment is awful, especially the back part where there are plastic chairs etc and is generally run down. Because we like the food so much we will take our business to the Oregano's restaurant near Oracle, even though it is a much longer drive for us. read more
