Stupid me thought this was a Mexican restaurant for 4 years. My bad eyesight read the sign incorrectly. We were nearby the other day and decided to get pizza. We're ordered the Numero One-o. Not the worst pizza, but not the best either. Very very thin crust. Probably the thinnest I've had. A little too much sauce for my taste. We have better pizza closer to us and won't be back for pizza. But I saw a couple of salads go by us that looked really good. I do love a salad so we will go back to try those. Service was good and that's about it. The food was not to my liking and quite bland. Crust was soggy and for a thin/crispy the texture was kinda gross. Even the Oregano's sign was obscure and not easily readable. The decor, from floor to ceiling was pretty good since I like old school environments. We've been coming to Oregano's for years and I've never experienced such awful food and bad service ever. The waitress was either incredibly ADHD, hungover, or just an awful server. We rarely saw her and when we did she was lost and doing dumb things like trying to take away a dish half full of salad while we were clearly still eating. She also forgot to bring a menu back when I asked for it to order a drink and returned way after we already paid with it. Plus they ran out of iced tea. We had to self serve our own cheese that was stored nearby twice. There was 5 people in our party and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We ordered two salads and two pizzas. The pizzas were raw. When we told the server the manager came out and took one pizza back and put it back in the oven and brought it back out to us awhile later. Why you would serve pizzas l Soike this in the first place is odd and instead of making new ones you just put the one we had in the oven and brought it ba k out, never checking the second pizza. The manager told us we could have dessert on the house for their mistake and it ended up being a tiny cookie for all 5 adults. Nothing else was comped either. Management, service all need a reset. The visit today was perfect. Showed up during the lunch rush. The lunch menu was great and I appreciated the smaller portions. I chose the chicken parmesan sandwich and a mini deep dish pizza. Some of the menu items have changed and I was unhappy the chicken lasagna is no longer a menu item. Overall a good visit on this day. read more

So Oregano's is hands down one of my favorite places, the food, the ambiance, and the customer service is always top notch. Well 1/12/25 was no different, we got there about 930 at night knowing they close at 10. Our waitress Brittany(could be spelled differently), well her customer service was through the roof. Very friendly, on top of everything, didn't have to write anything down. Not just that but as it was approaching closing time, she encouraged us to stay and finish eating as apposed to politely pushing us out as most places do. She was very friendly and inviting. I already spoke to David the manager personally regarding her and as he said himself she's one of their Rockstars and she truly is. Keep up the phenomenal work and hope you're our waitress more often. read more

Personally, the orange grove location is my favorite in Tucson. I always feel welcome there and well taken care of. The Hakuna piccata in my opinion is slightly acidic, so just beware if you have a sensitive stomach like me. Other than that it's one of my favorite dishes. read more

We always have a great time at oregano's and tonight was no exception. We always start off with the kick butt garlic and cheese bread which is just so good. I got the chicken Caesar salad, my wife got the original Italian stuffed sandwich. Our daughter and her BFF both got the pizza slices. We then treated ourselves to two of the cookie desserts one chocolate chip and one macadamia nut which comes topped with ice cream. Imagine with me if you will, a scrumptious classic cheese pizza topped with tomato sauce and two cheeses. Now imagine once again, that you ordered it on a thin crispy crust. Sounds mouthwatering and oh so crispy crunchy. Doesn't it? Well... NOT! Oh no, this place, delivers a thin crust pizza all right, BUT it is so soggy and wet, that all of the cheese, along with the added tomato topping just slides right off onto the table when you go to pick up a piece. To tell you in one word what that is like, "Disgusting". In fact, there isn't much about this place that is good. To begin with, it took 11 minutes for someone to come to our table just to offer us a menu and another five minutes to get a water. I am unsure why we didn't walk out then. Next, My other half had an ice tea. It tasted burnt. The glass itself was chipped and dirty that it came in. As a result , we asked for another glass to replace it. Still in order to do so, we had to flag down a different way her as our waitress totally disappeared. In fact, throughout our meal, we had to ask someone else to get her. (Everyone walks around like zombies here.) Then we had oregano's famous "favorite" salad. It was beautifully displayed. Yet once we dug in, It was wet\overdressed and had way too much feta cheese. One plus: at least the Romaine was fresh and We had something to eat while we waited for pizza to arrive... Twice. When we finally got our pizza -- almost over 45 minutes later-- I had to flag down the waitress again as she didn't check back. I told her the pizza was wet and showed her the slice I held up just hanging straight down in the air. She gave me the excuse that because they added tomatoes on the top it made the bottom moist and that was to be expected. She did offer however to take it back and have them reheat it. But when she brought it back, it was still soggy as before and now just burnt black around the edges. We ate it anyway as we didn't want to complain or wait anymore. To say the least, we left totally unsatisfied. Both of us had a upset tummies later and unsatiated pallets. Never again will I eat pizza in this joint. Never again! read more

I love the vibe of the restaurant. It makes me think I'm in Disney World Hollywood studios for some reason. The food has always been something I look forward to... rather the bruschetta is something I look forward to. However as of January 2022 they have taken the bruschetta off the menu. As does Carabba's, there is no real meat sauce for pastas. They simply chop up meatballs and add it to the marinara sauce. A true meat sauce is simmered until the ingredients meld together. Olive Garden has excellent meat sauce. read more

So we arrived and were seated and it took out waiter 10 minutes to check on us for drinks. Then we placed our order and waited 15 minutes to get our appetizers (stuffed mushrooms) that came out cold. Server was slow and when he brought the food he just dropped it and turned around and walked away with out asking if we needed anything. The food is going downhill. They add so much salt that I can't eat the food. The garlic bread doesn't need salt, but they add so much that we had to throw them all out. I've never had garlic bread taste like salt bread. The Hakuna Piccata, Chicken parmesan, and pizza are also way too salty. The food has a lot of potential to be good with about 1/8 the salt. I have dined at this restaurant four times now since moving in to Tucson! I think their salads and pasta's are amazing! however, I generally go at lunch an I observed diners around me. My only suggestion would be to turn the music down somewhat as it's very difficult to hear what your friends are saying at the table. Keep in mind that at lunchtime, many times patrons are having business discussions, at least Monday through Friday. read more

I recently had a unfortunate experience. Had an order for Vino Bambino salad which comes with chicken on the side. It was take out and so uncomplicated, I didn't check the order. After driving 12 miles home, the chicken was missing. I immediately called and talked to a manager and she said I would get a credit on my card which never happened. Today dinner was a nice change of pace, Italian cuisine. As you walk into this establishment you'll notice chotchkies all over the place. on the walls, the rafters and just everywhere. So much so that you will then notice a light coat of dust on them. This is very typical with places that have to much stuff on the walls that they can't keep up on the cleaning or the dusting. But that's beside the point. The point here is the food. I would rate it at least for me and my experience today a solid 3.5-4 just because I wasn't blown away. The food seems to be mediocre at best. Granted I didn't get the pizza which the name is known for, pizza bistro. I ordered the Italian sub with a side of waffle seasoned fries. It was roughly a 6" sandwich with sliced Italian cold cuts and baked with cheese on top. Topped with lettuce, onions, olives and Italian salad dressing. Me personally I think this dish would have been better with the dressing on the side. The wife had the bolo pasta, which was a fancy spaghetti dish. The wife said it was a 3. She ordered a side of sausages which was in my opinion the star of the show. It was bomb diggity. 5 stars on that sausage. Isaiah had a child slice of cheese pizza. Came here early Saturday afternoon with a group of ten. It'd been at least 9-10 years since I've been here, and I'm not sure why I don't come more often when in the mood for deep dish. Our server was very friendly and patient throughout with the size of our group. I ordered a "side" salad, which confused us at first because it looked like a salad large enough for 4. We ended up splitting it between all of us, although it's mostly a bowl of romaine lettuce with a couple croutons and a sprinkle of parmesan. The lemon vinaigrette was a good dressing, though. The deep dish pizza is the reason to come here and it's worth the 45-minute wait. Well-cooked crust, not too doughy. Piled on with lots of cheese and generous portions of pepperoni and mushrooms. The server who brought the pizza out was nice enough to serve us our slices. It looks like we would've needed the help, as it was piping hot and very thick to cut through. The only thing that would've improved it is a little more sauce. Maybe a little extra on the side for dipping (especially the crust). Others got the meatball sub, "O-zone" calzone, and pasta. They all seemed to like their dishes. As part of our group, we needed to split up the checks individually. They had trouble itemizing/splitting up checks evenly, which was a bit of a headache. We understood it would be difficult to split up the cost of the pizza between the people who ate it, but they worked through it and I think we ended up getting what we paid for. read more

Not really crispy. The cheesy bread was alright. Probably the best thing of our meal. It's HUGE. 1/2 a baguette. The angel hair pasta was over cooked. There's an upcharge for meat sauce but the meat is mashed, over cooked meatballs. Thin crust pizza is soggy. I'm so disappointed! I like my thin crust crispy. The flavor is kind of off. I absolutely love this place. The people are friendly, the service is fast, and the food is delicious. I really wish this place would expand out of Arizona because I crave it when I'm not at home. Don't expect this place to serve authentic Italian food, but you can expect some delicious gigantic portions! I recommend the toasted ravioli, Pablo Picasso salad (half is more than enough), Alfredo of the Dark pasta, any of their thin crust pizza, and if you can save room for their pizza cookie for dessert. Something about their food is just so amazing. I cant stop eating it until I'm food-coma full. Everything is tasty and seasoned well. First time here, and I really like the ambiance here, old time feel with some Frank Sinatra playing in the back ground. One thing I really dislike is when you come into an establishment and they tell you it's 5-10 min wait. I count tables and there was 4 open that would suite me and my wife well. Just a little pet peeve of mine is all. Ordered the deep dish stuffed pizza and it takes 50 min to cook, I hope it's delicious after I get it home. Made the mistake of ordering wayyyy to much food. Lasagna was just alright in my opinion, was full of meat and sauce but hardly any cheese. And I'm a Ricotta cheese type of guy and there was none. Service was decent, but it did get packed quick in there defense. I feel I would come back there was some really good dishes coming past our table and one dish in particular was a shrimp pasta dish.
