I had a VERY bad experience with a SUPER rude cashier who I now avoid who was throwing items down the belt - like chips and avocados- stuff people don't want THROWN. When I said I would bag it the girl who was bagging/helping legit grabbed the item out of my hand. I was fit to be tied. So I grabbed the item BACK and said I got it. Then the cashier got really really rude. My son said "wow no one has ever been so rude at Costco like that Mama." The cashier said she was going to get a manager and I said PLEASE do. I explained the issue and paid and LEFT. GAH I still get mad thinking about how nasty she is. And she is not a friendly employee as I've seen her multiple times since. Then you have Ed (are you still there?!?) and Jen - both of whom I'm SURE have been there for the 9 + years since we moved to Oregon and have had a membership. People who are super friendly. Engaging. And legit NEVER seem to be without a smile. My daughter recently had a meltdown because we were told that the Chipotle "B" sauce is discontinued. I said sorry kid. Special occasions only now - since they are $5.99 at Costco for a POUND versus 6 ounces or 8 for $7-10 anywhere else. Nope. Then we got to Costco and I said "just look - we never know" and she came back with 4 "B" sauce lol she said "I think people must have thought I was crazy because I screamed when I saw it and was jumping up and down." Thanks for bringing it back Costco!! Anyway - aside from evil grumpy cashier Costco is everything- like Danny Rojas says "Footbol is life." Costco is PNW LIFE!

Ladies and gents sampling food knew their products well. People are more relaxed and did not feel like shopping at Costco in NYC it's like a mob scene and mad dash for products. Going into my wedding planning, I knew I would need jewelry. The thing is, I didn't really want…read morejewelry. I don't typically wear any sort of accessories, and I figured I would find something that didn't look too bad at the last minute. I was explaining this to my friend and she told me I needed to take a look at Sara's stuff. Simple, feminine, classic, not over-the-top, her pieces are perfect for a non-accessorizer like myself. I took a look at her website, found some pieces that I thought I might like, but must confess, I was having a hard time envisioning it without being able to see it. I contacted Sara to discuss this, and she suggested we meet so I could look at her work in person to get a better idea. She talked with me about what I like and what I am imagining for the wedding, then told me to just go through everything and set aside pieces that I am drawn to. Then we went back to what I had chosen and went through those pieces, and slowly I narrowed it down to a few special pieces. At this point I realized I was getting excited about my jewelry, because now it was much more special and personalized. The pieces Sara helped me pick out (two necklaces, a bracelet, and earrings) make a lovely set, but individually are lovely as well. She talked about how I will be able to wear these separately for everyday or for special occasions, and the bonus is that I will always be able to remember my amazing wedding day when I take them out. When I received the completed pieces I was so glad that I had gone this route. Instead of just wearing some jewelry that I was ok with, I got beautiful pieces from a beautiful person. Working with Sara really helped me feel like a bride, and got me excited about the tiny intimate details. I felt so special taking each piece out of the box and putting it on on my wedding day, knowing that she had hand-crafted each piece. I am so thankful Sara and I connected! Her work is amazing and she is a lovely person!

I gave one of her necklaces to by best friend whose father had recently died and she literally has not taken it off since I gave it to her in June. I personally wear my Karma necklace almost daily and tell everyone who asks me about it where to get them. Sara's prices are reasonable and I love that I am supporting such a great artist. I plan on giving her beautiful necklaces to my sister and nieces this x-mas. You should too!

As Joy mentioned, there are some kick ass deals on sample size (6-6.5, and sometimes a dapple of size 7s too) designer shoes and there are occasionally clothes that I like too. I have to say, it can be very hit or miss. There is a whole room, albeit a small one, filled with shoes but sometimes it's all a bunch of stuff I don't like. That doesn't mean you won't find a gem or two. Also, with the clothes, to be honest the selection is usually more suitable to my mom's taste than mine, but they get some quality young people designers in there too. I would definitely add this place as a stop on your trip to DSW and Bridgeport.
