Incredibly disappointed in this rescue. My partner and I saw a dog online that we were interested…read morein and filled out an application. We requested a low energy dog and was told the one we were interested in was like this. His ad mentioned some training required but that he was otherwise laid back. The shelter told us he was only leash reactive. This was not the case. We brought the dog home and he was high energy and needed an incredible amount of training. Most notably he was highly reactive, which requires special training, and we were never informed he was like this. Reactive dogs can turn aggressive if it is not dealt with. His vet records, which were only given to us after his adoption, showed that he had a long history of reactivity and being on anti-anxiety medication that we were never told about. We reached out to the shelter for help 3 days after bringing the dog home and they didn't respond. It wasn't until we told the shelter that the dog was not a fit for our family that they responded, 2 days after our initial request. The shelter then told us we had to wait 9 more days before we could return the dog to their care, even after requesting a sooner date because he was causing a lot of stress to our household. When we returned the dog, the associate did not let us inside, and took his leash from my hand. I asked if we needed to fill out any intake paperwork. She said no so I asked if we could fill out paperwork because there was a lot of information they didn't tell us about the dog. She said no again, said there wasn't anything else they needed from us, and shut the door in our face. We had to wait nine days for an intake appointment that lasted less than a minute and required nothing but us passing over his leash. This was after we explained the amount of distress he was causing our dogs and the safety risk he posed due to his energy level and my partner's disability. It is clear that the shelter does not care where their dogs end up. This was an incredibly stressful 2 weeks for both my family and the dog because the shelter was not honest about his personality. This dog needs to be with a very specific household, and based on everything we told them about ourselves, we were not it. It seems it was more important to them that he was adopted by somebody, rather than him being adopted by the right family who could provide him what he needs. He suffers the most in this situation.

I've done business with them a few times and I've never gone away unhappy. I adopted two Quakers from them over the last seven years. The first one "buddy" who turned out to be a girl... was a rehome that had to be relinquished after 10 years. I had that bird for six years until it sadly passed away in an accident. The second was also a rehome who I adopted two years ago after that tragic accident. It was a bird they did not have any history on. The bird came from very bad circumstances when I took it to the vet it had suffered from a lot of social isolation that came out after I brought it home. When I called in tears asking what to do because I didn't think I could keep the bird "Samantha" talked to me with compassion and care, and I decided after talking to her I still needed to give it at least a few more months. My bird made a huge turnaround now after two years she was completely different bird that just needed the love that they entrusted me with to give her. Ceresa sold her to me and put her trust in me involving herself in the transition and because of her they even let me have her a week early. I have lived up to that trust and given my bird all the time, vet care that she has needed to recover from a previous past that was not good. I'll be going there soon to buy a bigger cage. I look forward to them seeing my Quaker April who is now renamed Gigi! thank you Bird Hut trusting me for the two rescues you let me love and take home. You are always involved in their care and your employees, always concerned for their well-being.

During My first new client/ new patient exam they were almost an hour late, no communication, I had to reach out to ensure they were coming. I had previously requested an estimate and was provided with one, but upon checking out the estimate prices and actual prices were different so I couldn't plan accordingly. The whole interaction left a bad taste in my mouth, but I wanted to give them another chance. When attempting to get medication for my senior mare I was met with push back when trying to get a written script so I could order it through my work pharmacy. Current day- I've reached out via email twice within the last week and have not heard anything back, I've called and got put on hold just to get hung up on. I chose to establish care at a different hospital and went to request records and they sent it directly to them and still did not respond to me. Overall I'm genuinely upset at the lack of support and communication from this clinic. The only response I got after posting this review on google was "Hello Soriyana, we understand your concerns and the frustration you've experienced with the communication issues and discrepancies in pricing. It's important for us to ensure that our clients feel supported and informed, and we regret that this was not your experience.
