I love the concept of making fresh food accessible to everyone and anyone. It's such a great mission. The highlight for us was the nature play area; my little one could have stayed there for hours. They've done a fantastic job creating an outdoor experience that's genuinely fun and engaging for kids of all ages. I also loved the "lead experiences" they host every hour. We joined the chicken feeding, which was a huge hit thanks to Daniel! We felt very safe throughout our visit, and the security team was incredibly helpful and a special thanks to Stephanie for that. We're already looking forward to our next trip back!

The farm has on Thursdays and Sundays a pay what you can farm stand. This has been a tremendous help to the community, especially when Covid hit. When purchasing items it is private so other people cannot see if you need to use the opportunity to purchase items at a discounted price or at full price. There are also many educational opportunities on the farm. Camps for kids, after school programs and other events are available throughout the year. The farm recently opened a coffee cart as well. Swing by and get fresh coffee along with your fruits and vegetables. There are also chickens on the farm and fresh eggs are sold every Sunday. If you like to eat the rainbow, or try new vegetables, this might be the spot for you as well, depending on when you arrive at the farm, you can see the vegetables coming in just after they have been picked to be sold.

Located in an…read moreelementary school, you'll see a bunch of tents lined along, selling everything from flowers, fruits, jerky, meat, cheese, and more! Pros: -I love the variety of food vendors that they have here. There were also vegan options available. -there is a shaded seating area that has picnic benches but people also brought out blankets to enjoy the day -some live music was available when I stopped by Cons: -parking can be a bit difficult and since this is in a residential neighborhood, you need to be careful of where you park. It I was able to get street parking not too far away Overall, a delightful farmers market!

My highlight of this place was the green juice from morning star ranch!! Everyone had a bottle and rightfully so, super nutritious and delicous - this farmers market is at a elementary school which is great -parking can be tough but we had parked in downtown Encinitas and just walked over (about 20 minutes)

If we want a change, we may go with the Mango Yuzu cake. We are regular customers at the Whole Foods pizza counter and order pizza for our family there…read moreoften, usually one or two whole pizzas at a time. Unfortunately, it is consistently a very slow experience, even when there are only a few customers ahead of us. Despite having a very large pizza oven capable of cooking multiple pizzas at once, pizzas are routinely cooked one at a time, which often results in 30+ minute wait times. Today's experience was especially disappointing. The store had run out of pizza boxes, so our pizza was placed into a cake box that was too small to fit it properly. The employee cut the pizza and stacked half the slices on top of the other half, causing the pizza to become messy and smashed together. She handled the slices directly with her hands instead of using a spatula, and several pepperoni pieces fell off in the process. In addition, the employee placed two different stickers on the box -- one appearing to indicate a single pizza and another appearing to indicate two pizzas -- which could have easily resulted in us being charged incorrectly. When I politely asked whether we could receive a discount because of the condition of the pizza and the inconvenience, I was initially told very rudely that there would be no discount and that the register would not help either. I was then asked, with obvious attitude, whether I wanted the pizza remade, which would "take another 10 minutes." I simply asked for the missing pepperoni pieces to be placed back on the pizza. The manager ultimately did provide a 50% discount, which we appreciated. However, even the manager acknowledged the pizza had been handled improperly and wanted to take a picture because she was surprised by how it had been packaged. Despite that, the response still felt dismissive, including being told the discount would only be done "this one time," as though the issue had not clearly been caused by the store's handling of the order. We understand mistakes happen, including running out of boxes, but customer service, food handling, and basic professionalism still matter -- especially for repeat customers who spend a significant amount there regularly.
