    Stroopwaffel

I was craving stroopwaffel and so I searched up places that would have them near San Jose. This place came up, so I went. What an eclectic shop with a diverse selection. Who I assume was the owner was very friendly.

I absolutely love this store! I've been coming here on and off for the past 20 years. This store specializes in Dutch and Indonesian imported foods which is what I grew up with, both of my parents are Dutch Indonesian. They sell everything from snacks, candies, spices, soups, condiments, frozen savory treats, Dutch souvenirs, to Indonesian food to go. At the moment, the two dishes they are selling to go are Bami (noodles) and Nasi (fried rice). I like to buy my Dutch soups, frites sauce, sambals, and Indo seasonings here. Just recently bought Shanghai kacang, frozen homemade lemper (10 for $30) , pandan essence, and Fruit-tella candy- all good things that bring me back to my childhood. Shelves are well stocked! I feel the assortment of goodies that are on the shelves for sale have gotten better and better over the years. This is a locally owned business and it's so nice to see the same friendly owners still there after so many years. Come check this place out, it's fun and interesting : ) New items in stock all the time

    This place is awesome!

Wonderful people, fabulous products, culturally warming. For nearly 20 years this place has held a tender place in my heart. Always coming back. Forever Ori Deli.

I came here with my husband because I was in search of "Indonesian foods." It turned out to be a cute little mom and pop shop that sells lots of Indonesian and Dutch goods. The goods range from snack items to foods and spices. The prices are reasonable/inexpensive. I was able to purchase a layered cake that I haven't had since my relatives from Indonesia visited when I was a kid. I saw the reviews about the food, but didn't realize that it was take-out only. I'll definitely have to come back to try the foods and to pick up other snacks (perhaps the little pineapple cakes or the milk chocolate sprinkles...yum!).

I just heard about this place from a friend on Friday, and decided to go on the following Saturday. I felt really happy when I saw the place. It reminded me alot about small stores back home in Indonesia. What's interesting about this place is that the owners are really nice, and they always have food preorders that we can order. I bought their tahu isi, and it tasted amazing. I did not get to take pictures because I was reallg hungry; the food smelled amazing.

This is a cute and fun Indonesia-Dutch shop. They have some product from Nerthland too. Also have varieties snacks , candies, noodle cups, seasonings, tea bags, Dutch chocolates, low prices whose is an old couple has been in business more than 40 years. Don't judge the store look out of date but the old man ( owner ) is so kind , cheerful smile and gave me free a box Chocolate from Holland after I purchased some items and he found out my birthday. Please come and support local small business.

    Lots of choices!

Really glad that the Ori-Deli is in business and is run by such a wonderful family! If you're looking for any Dutch Foods or Indonesian Foods this is definitely the place to patronize! They have a good selection of all the foods and a great place to also get Dutch Chocolate letters! They are owned by the same people for over 40 years now and I still remember them from when I was a kid. Two thumbs up and highly recommended to shop for your Dutch and Indonesian groceries here!

Outside of the store, bad pic I know!

Lovely little shop! I went in looking for tempeh (a miracle protein for people with high cholesterol!) and I went out with so much more! I found some great Indonesian dishes spice mixes and also condiments! There was a great mix of Dutch and Indonesian treats! The inventory was very impressive but most of all, the owner was so kind and hard-working! He has owned the place for 40 years- amazing! I wished that I hadn't wasted so much money buying Tempeh at Whole Foods when I could have been supporting this small business! Oh well, live and learn and shop small businesses like this one! :)

    Indonesian and Dutch snacks!

Nice selection of unique snacks! Perfect place to stop by if you need to put together a gift basket. Also if you're a liquorice lover, they have a HUGE assortment. Will visit again to try their Indonesian hot sauces and condiments. The store is easy to miss from Snell Ave. I turn at the light on Giuffrida Ave. and then turn into the parking lot.

So glad to have stumbled upon this store! I found some of my favorite Dutch and Indonesian products and will definitely be coming back whenever I miss them. They definitely have a good selection of stuff you won't find anywhere else. They also have some premade food to go in the freezer! PS They used to have a restaurant but no longer do.

A pricey little box, but for this quality, it's to be expected. I sampled Vietnamese coffee and raspberry yuzu. I much preferred the tartness of the raspberry yuzu. The Vietnamese coffee was more on the dense and darker side which I wasn't really feeling. I ended up getting a custom 6-piece box: raspberry yuzu (x2), rose water saffron (x2), and sesame praline (x2). The raspberry yuzu was extra yummy with the chocolate this time. The bitterness and tartness went well together. The sesame praline was interesting. The filling had a more crispy and gritty texture as a result from what appears to be sugar crystals. The sesame was nicely incorporated so that it wasn't overpowering. I really liked it. The rose water saffron was interesting. It definitely had floral and earthy notes. This is among their most popular flavors, but it just wasn't for me unfortunately. It slightly crossed the floral soap threshold for my taste buds. No matter, I know I will be back for the raspberry yuzu and sesame praline someday, and I hope to try other unique flavors they have as well.
