The atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was outstanding. We ordered the General's chicken, brussel sprouts, Elf Fuego sushi roll, and the salmon carpaccio. Every dish was excellent, but the brussel sprouts absolutely stole the show--they were divine! The salmon carpaccio practically melted in our mouths and was incredibly fresh and delicious. Our waiter, Zacqui, was attentive without hovering. He checked on us at just the right times while giving us plenty of space to enjoy a wonderful date night. We sat at one of the two-top tables with swivel chairs overlooking the chefs making dumplings, which made the experience even more enjoyable. This restaurant easily earns five stars from us, and we'll definitely be back! You can't judge a book by its cover!!!

Definitely one of my favorite spots for soup dumplings near Atlanta now! The drinks were also beautiful and actually strong which I appreciated lol. We also ordered sushi and everything tasted fresh and well made. Shoutout to Khang for being so friendly and welcoming! He helped us choose some of the best items on the menu and made the experience even better. Even my Chinese friend approved Overall such a fun vibe for a girls' night, date night, or catching up with friends. Can't wait to come back!

A friend and I came here for a quick lunch since we were craving sushi and didn't want to drive all…read morethe way into the city during our lunch break. The price was decent, and at $78 for a 15-course omakase, my expectations honestly weren't very high based on previous experiences at other JAK restaurants. We had reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival, which was a great start. I understand that lunch service operates on a time slot and they need to keep things moving, but having one chef serving eight people felt like a bit much. The entire experience felt rushed from start to finish. Everything came out at a very fast pace, and we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. As for the sushi, unfortunately, it just didn't hit the mark. The rice on several of the nigiri pieces was poorly formed and kept falling apart. The fish didn't taste particularly fresh, and some pieces had a noticeably fishy flavor. The chef also used heavy seasoning on almost every piece, which felt like an attempt to mask the quality of the fish rather than enhance it. I wanted to like this place and gave it a fair shot, but overall, the experience fell short. While the service was efficient, the rushed atmosphere and lackluster sushi made it difficult to enjoy. Unfortunately, I probably won't be returning.

The host/server was very friendly and quick and made sure everything was well with us. She knew a lot about all the different drinks and made good recommendations. We went for lunch, which was 12 pieces for $58 per person. It ended with the hand roll as the last, 13th piece. Considering the price, taste and quality were pretty good. It was the perfect amount for me, but with each piece being on the smaller end, it may not be as filling for others. The chef was pretty quick with making each of the pieces. We were the only ones there, which could also be why everything moved so quickly. He explained every piece with detail. He wasn't the talkative type but we weren't either so didn't mind that. If you want a budget friendly omakase experience, this is the perfect place to go! If you want more of an interactive experience with the chef, you may prefer other places, but if you like the quiet, efficient atmosphere, this is also the right place.

The portion here is hugeeeee. We couldn't finish it and had enough left over for dinner. The crispy pork was very crispy. We liked that the sauce was served separately. The shrimp were delicious and prepared just like I'm used to. This dish is lightly battered fried shrimp with a soy sauce bases sauce with red pepper and black pepper spices. It also features other sautéed veggies like green peppers and onions. The shrimp were spiced nicely, but also had the flavor of black pepper coming through. A lot of places don't get that right. The perfect mix of that spice red pepper heat and hint of black pepper are exactly why I love about this dish. The shrimp were fried perfectly and the veggies deliciously sauted. The Haemul Jjampong was a flavor and spice bomb. The broth was so flavorful and had a great essence of the seafood in it (squid, mussels, abalone). This soup is also for people not afraid of the spice...it was SPICY, but no so much that it was unenjoyable. The spice complemented the flavor and I loved it. The take-home of the leftovers was just as good the next day! If I had to say anything that they might think of changing, would be the addition of kimchi to the banchan. The banchan was ddanmuji (pickled radish, raw white onions, marinated white onion slivers, and soy marinated peanuts). A little plate mat kimchi to wrap around the Jjampong noodles would be perfection.

Aji Katsu in Suwanee, GA Japanese Tonkatsu & Ramen Spot…read more I am just not a big fan of the sweet flavor in Japanese cuisine. Aji Katsu does have some similar flavors in Japan. Shrimp Curry Udon - Classic Japanese curry: slightly sweet, super rich, and bold. Sauce coats every udon perfectly. Shrimp tempura a bit over-fried, slightly chewy, but tonkatsu-style breadcrumbs gave it a nice crunch. 8.5/10 Yakisoba - Generous portion for the price! Sauce has that tangy, fruity flavor I remember from Tokyo. Beef lightly seasoned. Personally, tangy noodles aren't my favorite, but Tokyo street-style lovers will enjoy. 8/10 Hibachi (Hambāgu) - Grilled Japanese hamburger steak, fried rice, sautéed veggies. Meat tender, veggies had a hint of truffle seasoning. Sweet teriyaki glaze not my favorite. 7/10 Bingsu - Red beans + condensed milk. Small size perfect for 2. Sweet, creamy, refreshing. 9/10

Unfortunately, after our experience tonight, we will not be returning. Your posted business hours indicate that you are open until 10pm, and because we frequent your restaurant, we are aware that your last call is at 9pm. We walked in at approximately 8:55pm and were greeted by the woman at the front, who looked at her watch, did not acknowledge or greet us, and then showed us to a table. We sat down, but given the way we were received, we ultimately decided it was better to leave. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was hearing staff chatter about us having walked in right before close and that they were already out of miso soup. Whether or not those comments were intended for us to hear, it certainly contributed to the feeling that our presence was an inconvenience. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have experienced this type of treatment. I have even previously shared with your team that we often eat later in the evening and appreciate having a local place where we can stop in and have a meal close to home. We completely understand that arriving close to closing may not be ideal for a restaurant, but we were there before your 9pm last call and well within your posted business hours. We were not expecting special treatment. We simply expected to be greeted and made to feel welcome. We have supported your business since its opening, which makes tonight's experience particularly disappointing. After tonight, however, we will be taking our business elsewhere.
