Service is consistently good and the food is amazing. I have had Kung Pao Chicken and combination fried rice. Both were best I've had.

This was our second time eating at the Orient Express. The first time was dinner service with Lisa Marie and the second was at lunch with Carmen. Both servers were fantastic. Never once did we have to ask for a refill on drinks. So attentive and friendly. The food came out fast and everything was very tasty. This is by far the best restaurant for Chinese food in Cochise County. Everything tastes fresh, with each dish its own distinct flavor. In some Chinese places it seems they use the same sauce for everything, not here! Our favorites are the tempura shrimp appetizer, the sweet and sour chicken and especially the Mongolian beef, which they will make as spicy or mild as you like, even with zero spiciness. Orient Express is part of the hotel that used to be called Sierra Suites, next door to La Casita Mexican Food restaurant. Sierra Suites seems to be transitioning to some hotel chain, so the sign for the hotel isn't there any more. read more

The food was delicious, we had a young lady waiting on us and she was the sweetest thing. We were the only table there since they had just opened, we got to enjoy talking to her about the beautiful paintings on the wall and she gave a great food recommendation of the sesame chicken lunch special. They screwed up my order before. I left a nice review even though last time they left off 2 steamed rice from my order. Justin was apologetic and said he would make it right. I called today to try to make an order and was attempting to explain the previous situation and the lady got really snippy with me. No need for that aggrivation. My first ever visit to Orient Express was a very pleasant surprise. We had a group of 8 senior citizens wanting separate checks and special food requests. We were met by the owner/slash manager about five minutes into the ordering process. When she took over, the experience was well organized, the food delicious, and the overall take away very positive. The restaurant is clean, quiet, well maintained with an air of the subtle orient. Not only is the food fresh, tender, and comes in large portions, it is affordable! You won't go amiss if you're on a limited income or even if you have money to burn, try the Orient Express. Only suggestion I would make to bring this up to five stars is have at least two bottles of white wine chilled and ready to serve on request. read more

I enjoy eating here because it's clean, has a peaceful ambiance, the service And the Food are excellent! Last night we enjoyed delicious fish slices, beef and broccoli, sautéed green beans, vegetable spring rolls and sliced, spicy cucumbers. Everything was delicious. Hands down, the worse meal in 22 years in Sierra Vista. When I walked in at lunch time and it was empty, I should have smiled politely and left. I like spicy food and I've been eating Chinese food for 65 years in many countries. The soup tasted like boiled chili water with chili oil on top. No other descernable flavor. The Mapo Tofu (Daofu) lacked any pork as far as I could tell (a key ingredient), and had a healthy percentage of peas, corn, and carrots--none of which are found in this dish. If a cook in China put peas, carrots, and corn in this dish, they would be put in prison. For the same money, I could have had two meals at the Asian grill in town with 50 dishes, everyone of them tastier. The waitress was pleasant and attentive but sorry, I won't go back. read more

Super Friendly Hosts... On a quiet Thursday night, three of us tried Orient Express, located inside the Sierra Suites. We were welcomed by an enthusiastic young man, and our waitress, an engaging lady. Due to dietary restrictions, we had several questions. The lady patiently answered, and provided menu alternatives for each of us. We ordered the vegetable spring rolls. And, We asked for fresh steamed vegetables and white rice. Also, we tried the vegetable noodle soup. One bowl had gluten-free rice noodles. The other bowl contained wheat noodles. All of the vegetables were tasty and fresh. The serving size was substantial and hit the spot. The folks at Orient Express are super friendly, and they do their best to please the customer. Food - excellent. Service - CARMEN WAS AMAZING! So attentive, so patient, and so welcoming. This is a cute new little spot inside Sierra Suites -- food is nice. I ordered the spicy soup (a hot and sour soup basically without mushrooms) with chicken dumplings and my husband had stir fried noodles with beef. The noodles were SO GOOD! I usually don't like beef with noodles but I really liked this one and stole a bunch off of his plate. The soup was good but I do wish it had mushrooms - I think it would've really tied the whole thing together. But overall, the flavor profile and quality was wonderful! read more

Just in town visiting, ate here for the first time. Food was great I would most definitely order here again when in town next. Services was a bit slow but very much worth the wait. We went to the Orient Express and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. As others have stated this is a Chinese restaurant and is not Chinese American. The Dry Wok Cauliflower and Dry Wok shrimp was amazing. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his General Tao's Chicken and our friend loved the pork with pineapple. The service was excellent and while the ambiance is still a bit lacking we will go there again. This restaurant has been open for 3 weeks. I believe the main problem is that they do not have experience running a restaurant. The definitely need more cooks. The wait for food to be served was painfully long. The entrees came before the soup and appetizers. We had a party of 5 with 2 people ordering the same entree. The last entree was served 45 minutes after the first entree hit the table. So 3 people were finished before the last 2 were served. Everything is a la carte including white rice. The menu prices were incorrect. Each item was $1.00 more but they were up front about that. It is not inexpensive. There are no combos. The egg rolls are tiny fried spring rolls. The Shrimp Shumai was excellent. Green beans very good. Won tons very good. Broth not what I was use to and I didn't care for it. My Honey shrimp was good and had Bok Choy which I love. Sauce could have been a bit thinner. Kung Pao chicken 1 liked 1 didn't.Chicken with broccoli same. The restaurant appears clean and there is a nice view of the courtyard and pool. Staff was friendly and appeared nervous and there was a slight language barrier with the server. With that being said I am not writing them off. I will go back in September if they survive that long and hope to see an improvement. I wish them luck. read more

To start the menu says nothing except a rough description. When we asked the waitress what was in some of the dishes, she said she had no idea. I don't recommend eating here if you have food allergies. I ordered vegetarian soup as it's the only one without beef and with ramen type noodles. It was bland at best, and they really didn't have much in the way of veggies except for mushroom. They added sliced large tomatoes, which I found very weird. The soup was flavorless at best, and when eating the noodles, it was hard to tell that it was broth and not just warm water. I asked for soy sauce, and I wish she would have brought the bottle. I added salt and chili sauce that she also brought. Beef and broccoli, bland and with a brown gravy weirdness. The beef was weirdly grisly and slimy at the same time. The broccoli was microwaved to the point that it was still lava like 20 minutes later. There is no combo plate. You will have to order rice or noodles and your main all separately. For $12 to $15. Per plate, I wouldn't say it is worth it. read more

This was our first time ordering from the Orient Express. We ordered the 'Spicy Sour Soup's', General Tsos Chicken's', 'Szechuan Chili Chicken', 'Stir Fry Green Beans', 'Beef Fried Noodles'. The Spicy Sour Soup had a good flavor but lacked spice. Some chili oil was included with the order, so adding that, it kicked it up to a spicy level. The General Tsos Chicken was not crispy and very bland, not having much flavor. The Stir Fry Green Beans were probably the best item ordered. Crisp green beans, well seasoned, tasty. The Beef Fry Noodles were edible but also on the bland side. The Szechuan Chili Chicken was overly spicy. I put a large spoonful on my plate, searched for what chicken I could find and what remained on the plate was a large amount of chopped, dried chilies. My expectation was that we would receive a quart sized container of each of the items ordered. But when we picked it up, each item was in a single serving sized plastic dish, except the soup, which came in a quart sized container. The food was edible but not nearly as good as I expected. For the amount of food received, it was over priced. I'm not sure we will be returning here. read more

We were a larger group than the waitress expected. There were 12. She said several times that normally for a 12vtop there would be more than one waitress. When we arrived there were no other customers. She did not have enough menus. I looked at the menu and decided what I wanted and gave the menu to someone else. When taking my orderi told her what I wanted. She asked fir the number and letter. That was difficult without a menu. The orders were placed. Food started coming out. Some food came out that nobody had ordered. The woman next to me ordered sesame chicken. She was given sweet and sour chicken. I and two other people ordered an egg roll. One order was to go. She brought out the order to go and one other order and the third order never was brought to the table. The woman next to me ordered a meal and a side of rice and a meal. She received the endamane and rice and about 30 -45 minutes later the meal. I was the first to order and was one of the last to receive food. Then when it came time to pay and leave, the waitress had no idea how to use the register. I was tired of waiting. We had been there for two hours. I went to the register and told her I wanted to pay. Took about 15 mi uses and the waitress mumbling it should not be this hard and I got my total and paid. The rest were able to pay about an hour later and never received the check. The food was delicious. The service was horrible. Staff definitely needs more training. read more
