I've been eating at bamboo garden for YEARS. I have never had a bad meal. Never had bad service. I had my rehearsal dinner for my wedding here (yes you read that correctly) and everyone loved it. They accommodated allergies and I could relax for a night and enjoy a meal that I knew would be amazing. When I'm sad or just need a break from cooking this is my go to. The moment you walk in you feel welcome. It's locally owned and you can tell they put everything they have into this place. I could list everything I've ever eaten but I'd just be posting the menu at that point (not joking I eat here so much). Eating here for me is like coming home to a family dinner. Granddaughter has taken over for Grandma. Our new favorite restaurant in Sierra Vista. 2 downsides which do not affect our 5 star rating. They are in dire need of re-upholstering the bench seats. To start We got an order of Egg rolls (not that hot and had an odd aftertaste) and a large Strawberry sparkling lemonade (was more of a flat strawberry soda). I got the General tso chicken, medium (it was not hot and fresh. Hard to cut with my spoon/fork. I didn't get a knife in the silverware). We also got the Mongolian beef (it was so salty), and a side of Steamed veggies (over cooked and bland). We informed our server, he apologized. there was no offer to remake or fix anything. after having maybe 2-3 bites of everything, we paid and left and went somewhere else to eat. I went for lunch. I got a combo order. The Hot and Sour soup was so spicy hot, I couldn't eat it. My food arrived and the beef appetizer tasted like metal, the other items had so much fried wrapping that they barely had anything inside. Also had the general chicken, which was quite tasty. The dumplings were really good as was the green onion toast, basically scallion pancakes. They were quite good. I returned yesterday, a Wednesday, just after 2pm to try a Thai lunch special of Yellow Curry chicken. I sat in the dining area, but found the ambiance of that similar to an old small-town diner, with painted white brick walls and torn booth upholstery. Management really needs to get those booths repaired! Service was fast and cordial and my meal was quite tasty, although this is the first time I've had so many potatoes in a Thai dish. I mixed the fried rice in with the yellow curry for a very satisfying meal. The sauce is spicy, sweet and creamy. There was a thin strand of black hair in my egg drop soup. I was too hungry to make a scene, but I did extract the hair from my soup before eating. read more

I've been eating here for years, take out and delivery. Every time the food is delicious, hot and fresh...even when delivered on busy nights. I've tried so many different things on the menu and they've all been great. When friends visit we order from there and all of my friends love their food as well. My favorites have been: any of their appetizers, hot and sour soup and egg flower soup, orange chicken, pad thai, and moo shoo chicken. I LOVE the red curry coconut vegetable soup! I always get it with Tofu and it is so delicious. A little spicy but that's what I like the most. The portions are also very decent! They have really great egg rolls and fried rice as well. I recommend trying them out, they are quite the hidden gem in town. read more

This place is great. The service is so friendly and quick. The inside is sparsely decorated but still has a great vibe. I came here one before and wanted to try it again to see if I had a similar experience and I did. The food tastes sooo good. I got the egg rolls and the Thai beef salad. The beef salad can be in served at different levels of spice and I really appreciate that. It was so very tasty and so was the egg rolls. It's been 3.5 years since I've eaten here. I was back in toen and my friend and I were craving Thai, so we decided to give them another try. The good. Overall, it was a better experience, the service was fast and very friendly and the restaurant was in better shape than last time. I ordered the drunken noodles (3 spice). It was ok, but not what I hoped/expected. The bad. The noodles were good but thin, pad Thai noodles, not "medium" flat noodles like they should be. The meal lacked flavor overall. There was very little flavor other than the red pepper spice. They included a packet of soy sauce and I had to use it. I've never had to use soy on a Thai dish before. Lastly, the printed menu price was less than what I was charged. It looks correct on Yelp but I looked at the physical menu which is off by a few dollars. The ugly. Again this was a better experience than last time but I'll I don't think I'll be back. I don't usually write reviews, but Bamboo Garden deserves some serious love. I tried their fried rice and--no exaggeration--it's the best I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned, not greasy, and every bite had that wok-fried magic. You know how some fried rice tastes bland or too salty? Not here. It had the perfect balance, and you could tell they used fresh ingredients. The veggies were crisp, the rice was fluffy (not mushy), and the flavor was just on point. I don't know what their secret is, but I'd drive out of my way to get it again. If you're a fried rice fan, do yourself a favor--go to Bamboo Garden. Game changer. read more

I had the Par Thai and my husband has some type of curry with rice and we had won ton for an appetizer. Everything was so fresh and delicious and the owner/grandson was super nice and welcoming. Bamboo Garden is pretty legit. It has Chinese and Thai food. It has a large selection of Boba Tea drinks and other deserts. They also have really yummy crab Rangoon. I've been away in Phoenix for quite a few months. In that time, I had yet to find any good Chinese food. I went to all the big places, and then the mom and pop shops. None of them had quality food. They were either bland or the taste was way off. I came home yesterday and was extremely happy to stop at Bamboo Gardens for dinner. We got: Sesame chicken - It was tender and juicy, while being crisp and crunchy the way sesame chicken should be. The sauce is delicious! Lemon chicken - great sauce! I have them usually make it a little crispier and it comes out perfect every time. Light and crispy. Chicken is tender and juicy. Orange chicken - same as the lemon chicken! (Kids meal) Fried Rice - always tasty. Cream cheese rangoons - Always a huge yum from me. Kids meals - the french fries were super tasty. Definitely not cheapy gross fries. They were crisp, airy and flavor full. The chicken nuggets absolutely loved as well. Service is always friendly no matter from open to close. Dine-in is always a pleasure. Typically playing great music that isn't loud so you can have a conversation with no issue. Clean bathrooms! The only time I've had an issue and it's not even with the restaurant, is if I've ordered through DoorDash, Grubhub or Uber eats - every time, the drivers take forever and end up delivering other people food first and then my food is cold. That's not on Bamboo Gardens, that's on the drivers of these food delivery services. I pick my food up now and avoid that issue altogether. Overall this is my go to Chinese restaurant. So this might be the worst excuse for Thai food I've ever had. It had zero flavor and honestly the meat tasted old. If it weren't for that, it would've been completely tasteless. The egg roll was average at best. The "homemade" sauce tasted like it was from a bottle. I ordered it for delivery and it was barely warm. So either it sat forever before it was picked up or the driver took a few hot laps before it was delivered. I hate everything I get here, but my husband likes the curry, so I am forced to find something edible, and most times, I fail. I'm already having a bad day from a 2,200$ vet visit, but the food here just made my day so much worse. I love lemon chicken wings, so I got their lemon chicken. So I returned again to try another dish, Pad Thai this time. I saw some reviews beforehand stating that the pad Thai wasn't great, but I wanted to try for myself. Unfortunately, I have to agree with what's said about the pad Thai. It didn't really taste like pad thai as the flavoring seems off. It was also a bit wet like gravy. The worse part is that it was too salty. So I asked for some more noodles to mix in to help reduce the saltiness. The waiter provided the noodles and it tasted better after that. The waiter was friendly and provided good customer service. He also told me that the chef was from Bangkok so I was pretty surprised after hearing that because the pad Thai wasn't great at all. The food is good but it suck's that I just had to leave because I stood in the lobby for 5 minutes and no one said anything to me. There was a girl in the boba corner and shes the waitress. She said nothing to me the entire time I'm just standing there. Then a lady walked in after the 5 min I was just standing there and the lady in the boba corner greeted her and sat her down with a menu. So I stood there and then she came back and still said nothing to me so I left and then my husband went inside and she still did not speak to him. Someone then spoke to him and said hello and he expressed how I stood there and no one even acknowledged me, and they go on to say she's a waitress and he was in the restroom. But I'm standing here playing the eye game for over 5 minutes looking at him stand at the counter in the kitchen and looking at her trying to stay busy. So I will not go here anymore. read more
