Also, it was wonderful that the staff's communication was very easy to understand. Sometimes it's hard to walk in a place and explain what you'd like done due to the language barrier. Very very pleased with my massage with Monica tonight. great technique, especially for my mid back and shoulders! Due to working out and surfing, I prefer a massage on the 'stronger' side. The type of massage that makes you sweat a bit because it hurts so good Monica was able to use her elbows and hands to hit all my sore and achey spots. Pleasantly surprised! I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to massages. I either get them at a high end spa, or have my mom give me one who is a masseuse, but being that my mother is out of commission due to an injury, and the fact that I'm 39 weeks pregnant and my feet are killing me I thought I would give this place a try. I opted for the 60 min foot massage. 30 on feet then 30 mins on your neck, head, shoulders, hands (cost $25). You are in a room with other people, but you stay full dressed, and it's still a relaxing environment. The gentleman who gave me a massage was not only sweet, but did a great job. Both my hubby and I decided to get a couple massage to try something different. When we first got there we'd check in, I told them we had an appointment at 11 but she didn't see it in the schedule but she still took us in. She told me did I called that number but I don't remember if I called that number or not. Afterward, we went in the room she told us what to do soon after the two massage ladies came in. In room was a pleasant atmosphere nice relaxing room. The hot stone were very lovely procedure on our backs. After we were done with our massage they both went outside. If you're looking for a relaxing massage this isn't the place for you! I bought this off of Living Social and luckily didn't pay much for it because I would never go back! Sorry to have to leave a somewhat negative review but I use yelp as a place to find places and feel obligated to be honest. Facility was very basic to say the least and the towels when wiping off the oil smelled musty. Went on a Saturday. Easily made an appointment same day. Got a 90 minute combo couples massage which was a bit of deep tissue and normal oil massage. To be honest, the deep tissue wasn't pleasant. They dug their fingers in harder than usual. Some of the deep tissue was ok but we could have done the same thing at home. Hat REALLY bugged us is when we got dressed and walked out to pay, the two people that did our massage stood at the counter to see what we were going to tip them. Very unprofessional! I am extremely upset with this place! Today I called and inquired about foot massage, and I was told only available massage was $80, and I declined. 30min later, I received a call saying that they are willing to accommodate a combo foot massage for $40 and told me to come. I sat in my car right away, and when I showed up, I learned that only 30min massage was available. The lady offered me to come back at 7 or 8 pm. When I ask the front desk lady why she even called me to come right now (30min away from my house), she did not know what to say. I don't want to make any assumptions, but maybe somebody just walked in and took my spot. Their rates were incredibly reasonable & I chose the 1-hour Massage plus the 30-minute Foot Massage. I asked for medium pressure building to deep and that is exactly what she delivered. Her technique was exquisite, getting into my tissues and clearing toxins through the use of her elbows, sides of her palms, and even using some body shiatsu moves. The foot massage was the most thorough and professional I have ever received. Her attention to detail on every pressure point affiliated with each organ was spot on and the pressure just enough to be "edgey", yet effective. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else less sketchy. They are a revolving door of employees and constantly changing their policy on when to pay. I made an appt (second time) tonight and arrived slightly early. I made the appt and told them at the time what type of massage i wanted. I get there and it became 50 questions. I had to go back through all of the same info again.. type of massage gender preference etc. Then he tells me i have to pay upfront. I said last time i paid at the end so i can also give a tip based on my experience. He would not allow me to do that... wanted to run my card twice.
