Just pay attention to posted signs. The Portsmouth city is walkable and nice to hang out while waiting for the concert to start. The food is ok and what you expect at a concert venue. If you can grab something to eat outside side the venue you'll be better delighted. The service is also deserves a big shout out. Everyone we interacted with were very friendly and polite.

This event itself is a 4. You pay $30 (not sure if worth it compared to just go to dance clubs by the oceanfront where there's no cover charge). They give you a light up foam thing which didn't last the whole hour I was there. There were confetti sprayed every now and then, music wasn't bad. The twerking contest am not sure if I'd rate a 1 or 2. Overall I guess it's an alternative to go to if you don't have plans to watch the Admirals!

Given that this is an event space, each production might be a little different in terms of food, organization etc. Basing this off the venue alone, the theatre is beautiful. Seats could be more comfortable especially in the balcony, but I do like how open the venue is. Parking can be a little tricky depending on time of day but there are garages nearby. Us as in a party of 6! Although it was a grand opening, it took longer than usual to receive apps and cocktails. Nevertheless, this will not steer us away from this new spot, because the vibe is sexy, chill and lit at the same time. For the grand opening, a live band was performing and they were awesome! The lead singer was even working the room. Such a treat! My friends and I decided to try the cocktails and a few menu items. They have ladies night on Thursdays and partner lessons at 6 and line dancing lessons at 7 Thurs-Sat. It's my go-to spot if a want a chill dancing night. The chicken tenders are some of the best I've ever had! Their prime rib on Saturday and Sunday is top tier. Also everyone is super friendly. Made some really close friends here! Thank goodness for not cancelling the concert altogether! The concert finally started at 9pm but was well worth it. The amphitheater itself accommodated a lot of people, was told full house at 20k people! The acoustics was great but what's even better is the strategic location of jumbo screens where regardless of where you are on the lawn section, you get clear view of the screen. Concession stands provided a wide variety of food and beverage options: $2 hotdogs, Mac & cheese which you can add chili and barbecue sauce toppings. There are chicken tenders, 2 for $10. Recommend that they offer hot drinks like coffee, tea or hot chocolate for non-alcoholic drinkers. The guest services staff were efficient in giving out free beverage tickets for designated drivers: you handful show license ID and your companion whom you're driving home. They were also very strict in enforcing clear bags or small dimensioned bags. I had to check mind in, given a ticket for it and claiming my bag at the end of the show was organized and quick. The wait to drive out of the parking lot was organized but very slow! Over-all great experience!

The servers were attentive but there were out of some things early on (no soup, no steak or chicken quesadillas) but the appetizers we ordered were hot and fresh and didn't take that long to come out. We enjoyed the karaoke experience but sadly we didn't know the DJ's name as he never introduced himself to the crowd or explained how it worked to put in a song (he has little slips of paper on a small table and you give him your slip with your name, artist and song title when you are ready to sing). Since he wasn't very engaging not sure if we would go back in the future.
