We were on the island for an overnight family stay. My kids really wanted pizza for dinner and this was conveniently across from our hotel; The Atwater. The Pizzeria is warm and cozy inside... more of a cafe feel than restaurant. They serve bottled beer/wines and canned alcohol. Some fountain drinks... The food was as expected for a pizzeria. We stopped in on a Tuesday at 3pm. We ordered bbq chicken pizza and were told they were out of chicken. We then ordered a meatball sub. I ordered minestrone soup and the server said there was one bowl left and she had served it for herself, but I could have it. She said she hadn't touched it. I had the soup and it was fresh and delicious. The meatball sub was good too. They give you a cup Of peanuts and you throw shells on the ground. For the Second cup, they charge you. We had a the best experience at Antonio's! Olga was very friendly at the front of the restaurant. Our waiter Paul was excellent, gave us great recommendations, and went made our time our time at the restaurant very fun. We had the Mom's day old spaghetti and Antonio's cheese crisp (large of course!). Both were very delicious and the cheese crisp was also great as leftovers. The ambiance is very charming and adds to the full restaurant experience. Can't wait to visit Catalina Island again and come back! read more

Today I visited Antonio's Pizza, hoping for a quick and tasty meal. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. When I tried to place an order at the to-go window, I was informed that they couldn't take my order because they were backed up on online orders. This was frustrating, as I was ready to pay and take my food to-go. To make matters worse, two employees had a noticeable attitude when addressing the situation, which only added to the disappointment. Given the lack of customer service and inability to accommodate in-person orders, I decided to take my business elsewhere. It was pretty late after a busy day kayaking and swimming so me and my friends were all super hungry. We showed up and had to order through the side window even though the dining room was open for the last guests as they were closing somewhat soon. I ended up ordering just a personal pizza, and my friends got a pepperoni pizza, a deli sandwich, and a shrimp scampi. The scampi was okay, the pasta was cooked fine but the sauce was a little runny. The sandwich was quite good, the meats were cooked well and the toppings added a nice flavor boost. Lastly, the pizza was pretty solid. I got a chicken and garlic pizza, and they loaded it up with the toppings. Most of it was kind of centered on the pizza and I wish it had been spread out a little more evenly but it was still good. The pizza crust was super crispy and crunchy and I was finishing every last bite of every slice. The seating was a little limited as we only had outdoors to work with, but it was still nice. The service was also slow, but that may be because they had a huge line for being super popular at night. Overall, it was a great family owned joint and it's worth a try if you're craving pizza. read more

A horrible experience on every level. Let's start with the service. We were ignored while the waitresses stood behind us chatting. We were sat at a communal table that was in dire need of cleaning. The decor resembled what you would find at a garage sale. And the entire place needs a deep cleaning. I ordered a sparking water. I got a bottled beverage, no glass or ice. When I requested a glass I got a plastic cup. I must admit it went well with the plastic cutlery and paper plates. The menu informed us that we would have to pay for to-go boxes if we wanted them. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! pizza slice was decent. The lemon garlic sauce not worth it. On Tuesday October 28 around 3:15 pm I Got to the order window, lady was on the phone. Hung up and didn't acknowledge me at the window then went to close out a table sitting inside. She then went on to talk with another worker then took my order. I realized I got an extra slice of pizza and went to ask if I paid for it. I didn't. She did not say anything about giving it back so I left. Then she came out after me as we were getting ready to leave and physically put her hands in my bag to take the extra slice out. In the process she took off the other foil to one of the slices and touched it.
