My mom and I came here yesterday and they were super busy. It was about a 30 minute wait which wasn't terrible for a Sunday. The service was very good. Friendly and prompt. Now for the food. Would I come back? If you chose to come here, you made a good decision. The food is good and the service is awesome. My friends and I came on a Sunday morning and we knew we were going to wait because of its high reviews and the fact that it was a weekend. We checked in and were told that it would be a 45-1 hour wait. The line moves pretty quickly and we were seated in 30 mins. They have their original menu and specials. We decided on the chicken fried steak with French toast and tiramisu pancakes. We each got an orange juice too which came with 1 free refill. The chicken fried steak was pretty good. The chicken retained some juices and was not completely dry. They cut up the chicken into smaller pieces compared to other places where they give you a big slab of chicken. The French toast edges were a little hard but it just gave the toast more texture. When the tiramisu pancakes came, all I could think of was diabetes, seeing all the sauce on top. It was surprisingly a subtle sweetness and the sauce complimented the pancakes well. They were super fluffy as well. This was on their special menu so come and try it before they switch things up. Our server Emily and staff were super attentive. Food came out in a timely manner and we did not have to flag anyone down for anything. You can tell that the staff is working in unity. We stopped here on a Friday around 10 am. Lots of people waiting outside, and we almost kept driving. But, it really was only about a 20 minute wait. I had the pancake special and hubby ordered the chicken fried steak. Pancakes had a little lemon flavor. They were a little tough, but good overall. The bacon, eggs, and sausage were average. I liked that they put the pancakes on a plate separate from the eggs, bacon, and sausage. Hubby's CFS was really good. Not overly gravied. We will go here again and maybe try lunch. read more

I was looking for a good breakfast brunch place and read several reviews of this highly rated restaurant. I became intrigued after I learned they had a few Hawaiian menu items. We drove almost an hour to get there. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy. We were immediately seated, offered drinks, and handed menus. We both ordered coffee and water. There were a lot of tempting items on the menu, which made it hard for me to decide. I ended up ordering Chicken Fried Steak and my wife ordered the Mushroom, Swiss, and Chicken Crepe. So much for a Hawaiian breakfast. My chicken fried steak was very good. The meat was fairly thick with thin breading. It was not greasy at all. It was definitely one of the best tasting CFS I'd eaten. The eggs were a tad undercooked and the hash browns are pretty basic. My wife's crepe was underwhelming to her. I thought it was Ok. It did have some flavor. Well, I could taste the Swiss cheese. It was the crepe itself that was underwhelming. It was kind of on the doughy side. I'm use to thin crepes. These were too thick. Coming in the food selection was great I got the red chilaquiles with Birria meat. The flavor is really yummy and the radish added a super yummy crunch. The only thing that bothered me a little was that the food was like warm. Which was odd, because the food came out in less than five minutes. So I just asked for the food to be reheated which was fine.. My partner had a green Chilaquiles with steak and they were also very delicious. Because of the volume of people, they have a time limit on busy days for dining, we don't mind, the food and service are fast moving. They only take cash but have an ATM. Went here for the first time this morning with my wife and adult daughter. Nice restaurant and friendly staff. Our server was fine ... nothing special ... friendly, courteous and polite. The problems were: 1) my wife asked for cheddar cheese instead of the pepper jack cheese listed on the menu and that didn't happen ... she had to send it back; 2) she ordered the hash browns but those weren't included and had to be brought out after the rest of the food; 3) two of the four biscuits in my biscuits and gravy were hard as a rock and I had to use a knife to cut it; 4) the sausage gravy was bland and I added salt, pepper and hot sauce to try and give it some flavor; 5) cash only (no credit or debit cards accepted) - not a complaint but highly unusual. Parking can be easily found and even though we arrived around 11am on a Wednesday it was busy and we waited few minutes for a table. The place only takes cash. I started with the barbacao Benedict which was a bit bland surprisingly since the beef and hollandaise should make anything work. The onion rings (I think) that came with it were cold. The dish was good but I expected more. For dessert I went with the banana pecan French toast and the server was nice to let me know they have half an order instead of getting two slices.
