Moved from AZ and was so excited an Original ChopShop opened up! Came with my friend for lunch and it wasn't too busy. Our food came out in a decent time. Ordered the Thai Coconut Chicken Bowl. It was sub-par. There was a piece of uncooked chicken in it. See photo. Was upset at this, considering they just opened this location up. I recommend getting a salad or wrap to avoid this problem. AMAZING food and great service. I had the GF Tuna Wrap, my husband had the Spicy Korean steak bowl, and my son had the Pina-Kale-Ada smoothie. Delicious! Their GF cookie was to die for too! Highly recommend this place. We've been waiting for a place like this to open for awhile now. Freshii just wasn't cutting it (their service and food is terrible). Simply ugh! First of all, if anyone is still sensitive about COVID, I would recommend take out. The place was crowded durning lunch and the tables were either crammed together where you are sitting back to back with the guy next to you or you are sitting in front of the two doors in front of in-and-out traffic. The self service drink station was not touch free. You have to press a button to dispense ice. The bathroom floor was so sticky... just use your imagination. On to the food... the salad descriptions looked so amazing that it was hard to choose, but the positivity stops there. The bowls are small and toppings were stingy. I had to look hard to find the beets in my beet salad, which should have been called the raisin salad. An additional $2 chicken yielded maybe 6 little chicken chunks. It was perhaps the most unsatisfying $12 bowl of salad. With lemonade, the meal totaled $15. My friend got a wrap, but watch out for the add-ons... Want protein? it's extra. We recommend the wheat wrap...want it? It's extra. Relaxed COVID protocol, unsatisfying food, and expensive pricing makes this place a 1* experience. read more

Protein Bowl was terrible with overdone harden rice that I could not chew. Not sure I would return. You never get a second chance to make a first impression. read more

My daughter and I went to check this place out Friday evening, and were very pleased that we did. We both had the club sandwich, and it was one of the best I've ever had. I only wished that my daughter and I had split one as it was much bigger than I could eat. The bread...oh the bread! That's not usually the star of the show, but it sure is here. This will spoil you so you won't want anything else. The turkey was fresh and very generous, good bacon...everything just right. We looked at the breakfast menu while we were there, and the guacamole toast in particular is calling my name soon. We'll be back! read more

This place had a good start. The service was very friendly and food pretty decent. Always a bit expensive but doable. My last visit was pretty much a total bust. I paid $32 for two sandwiches and chips and water. While that's insane on its own, my both sandwiches were made pretty sloppily and not with fresh bread. My chicken was dry and wife's deli meat all slammed to the middle of sandwich. Condiments only in the center of the sandwich too. I was shocked by the quality and for this price. Their green curry tofu is actually pretty good. Not what I expected. I've been wanting to try this place out for a while and I'm glad I did. The sauce and the snap peas make everything taste so good. The tofu is cooked perfect. I got sweet potato hash instead of brown rice and it was good. Brown rice would've made it even better. Just depends if you want something lighter that day. My husband and I are doing our best to eat healthier, so on a day we didn't want to cook, we ordered curbside pickup from here. We had ChopShop before (in Plano), but wasn't too impressed in the last visit. On this visit to the brand new Allen location, we had the Thai coconut curry rice bowl with forbidden rice and the chicken and prosciutto sandwich. Both were really good and changed our previous thoughts about this place! The highlight was definitely the rice bowl: I loved the different flavors and textures combined here: Creamy, nutty, and savory grilled chicken and veggies. The forbidden rice is worth the upcharge. I would get the exact same bowl again, and perhaps the green curry tofu rice on another visit. This location is in the North west side of Allen, close to the outlets and the 75 freeway. I haven't been inside, but the space inside looks great and there is patio seating which looks really nice for dining al fresco. Overall, this is a great place for healthy eats in Allen. We ordered the tofu quinoa bowl, kids turkey meal with grapes and apples, and chicken and proscetta without proscetta. The bowl had a great sauce and everything was perfectly roasted. The chicken sandwich had an amazing glaze (mind you I don't like sweet meat) but was cut with a spicy digion mustard. The oatmeal toffee cookie was fantastic. It was thin but big. For healthy food the price is pretty cheap. All of the people are extremely nice and the facility is very clean. Will be returning instead of fast food. read more

This place has a very unique selection of sandwiches and bowls that have a nice modern flair to them without the stale overpriced rigamarole. I especially have enjoyed the tofu bowls from here. My one criticism would be their naming convention for their Grinder in particular. They sell an "Italian Grinder" on the menu, it is not however a grinder, it is just a simple sandwich with italian inspired fillings. read more

This is quickly becoming my new favorite restaurant. The food is healthy and delicious, not normally a combo that goes together. I've had the chicken teriyaki and the chili lime shrimp bowls, both with the sweet potato hash. Both have had great flavor from the sauces (chili lime has some heat to it) and the veggies are tasty and not overcooked. The prices are a bit high, but it's a go-to if you want to eat out and be smart with your food choices. The place is busy, so plan ahead. read more

Great food and drinks. Need to speed up food prep. I usually stop in when it's empty and drinks and açaí bowls take 20 minutes. I am much quicker putting together same product in my own home kitchen. Hopefully they figure it out because when it is busy I am sure wait times are longer when it's busy. I was told by the nice man at the register that the wait time was long because it was the first bowl they made today. I was there at 8:40 am so it should not matter if I am the first customer of the day or last. Should be prepped to go when doors open.
