I had the green curry tofu bowl with brown rice while my friends tried the red chili shrimp with forbidden rice and the thai coconut chicken with quinoa, woot variety of grains! Tastewise, we all thought our bowls were great though my friend was a bit taken aback by the forbidden rice being a bit sweet. I absolutely loved the variety of veggies in my bowl and the green curry sauce over the tofu was perfect, honestly would have liked more of it. Regardless, delicious!! There are also fun tea/lemonade options for drinks so the sky is your limit. You can order online and do curbside pickup or pick up inside and sit on the patio where there's a fair amount of space. It's been a long time since I've gotten a ChopShop fix! Fortunately a lot of my pregnancy cravings have been healthy and yesterday, the babe wanted fresh juice and a salad. I ordered their hydrator juice which was AMAZING (cucumber, pineapple, coconut water, aloe vera, and a few other goodies), along with their raw vegetable chopped salad with chicken. You guys, they were just what the doctor (errr baby) ordered! I always get a warm whole wheat wrap on the side of the salad and it really makes for a hearty meal! Delicious, healthy stop while in the Phoenix area! My boyfriend and I stopped here right after we got off our plane and right before we set off on one of the many hikes in the area. We decided to fuel up on the tasty grain bowls and sandwiches offered at the Original Chopshop. Honestly, everything on the menu looks/sounds delicious, so it was super hard to choose just one thing. I ended up going with the Red Chile Lime Shrimp grain bowl, while my boyfriend got the Grinder sandwich. We were both very happy with our meals and felt fueled for our hike! Chop Shop workers... are you not being paid well, even with the massive increases in price that Chop Shop continues to push? I ask because now customers are asked to tip after using a self-service Kiosk to order and also getting their own drinks and barely encountering anyone that works there. What are the tips for? The only thing I can think that the tip might cover is to eliminate the snarl from the person's face that brought the food out of the kitchen. (Which did happen). For the owners, asking for a tip when there is no service is just absurd. I wasn't greeted by a host, taken care of by a server who took my order, delivered food, regularly checked in on me and filled drinks. I seriously Love my bowl so much! I don't know too much about other stuff on the menu but if you trust this review, Get the steak because it is very tender and tasty. They've done a good job! Any kind of steak in a bowl. The one I got was Korean Spicy Steak bowl and it's Spot On! It's more of just mild spice and the brown rice was nicely cooked, not too sticky nor too hard. Green onions are always great in a bowl and the whole rice bowl was just enough portion for lunch or dinner. I love the idea of having different tea as fountain drinks out there to just serve yourself whatever you want to taste. They are not sweet because it's meant to be healthy. But you can always get sweeteners! Space is very comfortable with so many seats out at the patio and if you feel like a quiet environment, sitting in is always good as well. They make this place very clean and neat. Way to go! Overall, I enjoy my food experience over here and I could only wish for more to come in future. FERMENTED LEMONADE My daughter and I went to chop shop and got two iced coffees that were warm and no ice in them. I got my daughter a large lemonade and it tasted fermented and off. My daughter got sick from it. It resulted in nauseas and vomiting as well as stomach pains. I took a sip of it and it tasted fermented and old. I went back to return the drink and explain the situation to the manager. My daughter didn't even drink the whole drink it was 3/4 full and the manager acted like everything was fine. And said," we use bottled lemon juice" the manager was rude and disregarded about the lemonade being fermented. We thought the lemonade was made in house with fresh lemons. Apparently not. I will not be going back anytime soon. I will instead be going to AJ's that is fresh and unspoiled. As far as we know the manager was going to continue serving the fermented lemonade. I really like this spot for a healthy yet flavorful option. The place is clean and has an open and modern aesthetic, with indoor and outdoor seating. The employees are always very friendly and make sure my order is correct. I've tried this place twice. I really want to like it because it's healthier quick food. It does the job for me, but I don't find it extravagant. The bowls are kind of dry and I don't feel like the ingredients are super fresh and tasteful. This last experience was a little disappointing because I asked if the Thai Coconut chicken bowl was spicy and was told No. Well I am somewhat sensitive to spice and it does have some spice to it and was too spicy for me to finish it. Avoid this place at all costs. Management does not care at all about their customers. I used to be a regular customer at their Tempe location. I was given a $50 store credit towards my account due to an altercation with their former manager, who had a bad attitude, when I asked for a refund on an Acai bowl that had a rotten banana in it. I used to stop by ChopShop for breakfast and lunch every day and my experience during that altercation was so awful that I stopped eating at ChopShop for two years. The last time I visited ChopShop was in 2021. I decided to take a chance on ChopShop again, hoping that their customer service issues would be fixed and that I'd have a better experience at a different location. I attempted to use my store credit at this location only to find out that the money was missing from my account. I have emailed management four times since June 13 about the missing money and haven't received a reply. I was told that email was the only way that I could speak with a manager. It's evident that the owners of this company do not care about their customers and can't be bothered to return an email. It's such a shame because this location is on my direct route to work and I have stopped there every morning for breakfast over the past month on days that I go into the office. Looks like ChopShop has lost me as a customer, AGAIN, due to their lack of customer service. read more

Disgusting lunch arrived and got thrown straight in the trash after choking down one hunk of dry chicken. This kitchen team needs an overhaul and the apathetic management should find something else to do with their lives since they can't be bothered to be effective leaders. Tried a food delivery service for the first time yesterday. I was starving, slammed with work, and just didn't feel like driving the 10 blocks to pick it up myself. I ordered the same dish I eat every time I go here - Thai Coconut Chicken Bowl with quinoa. The service did an awesome job - about as quick as it would have taken me, so the problem is definitely not that the food sat around somewhere. I knew something was wrong as soon as I took the top off. The whole dish was just ... brown. No colors from the vegetables that should have been there like GREEN broccoli and ORANGE carrots. I started picking through the dish thinking maybe they were layered on the bottom. No such luck. There were roughly 2 pieces of broccoli and 2 slices of wilted carrot. Limp, lifeless, old, over cooked. I guess the kitchen made up for the lack of broccoli and carrots by overloading the cauliflower. It made up the vast majority of the veggies (couldn't find onion or mushroom either) and was just as flaccid, old looking, and overcooked as the others. The quinoa was al dente trending towards crunchy, the extra sauce I ordered was missing, and the chicken was cut in huge awkward chunks that would choke a small dog and was DRY. I really don't recall a time when I've ever been served such piss poor quality food. Never have I had to throw out a dish. But this sad excuse for food? Definitely only fit for the garbage. The ONLY good thing in this whole transaction was the delivery and no arguments about a refund from the apathetic manager I spoke to on the phone. Who, by the way, from her lackluster response, had given up on life before she even got out of bed that morning. No wonder the kitchen sucks. To Julia - why would I reach out to you? So for work, I move around to different branches and when I do this, don't always bring lunch. Decided to try Original ChopShop since I saw they had quite healthy food options. I ordered the Chicken and Kale wrap, adding avocado and prosciutto. I also went ahead and tried the gluten free wrap. This was one of the best lunches I have had in a while. My only complaint about the wrap, it was quite small for paying $16 and only half of the wrap had avocado and prosciutto. The other half only had chicken and kale. Also ordered the Stevia lemonade. So I was stoked to finally see a ChopShop in this area of town! So my friend and I came in and ordered two Zen Bowls and the Kale Cleanse juice - large. The juice was spectacular (as it always is) but we were both surprised to see the size and quantity of the Zen Bowls. We typically order 1 bowl and split it but neither of us were sure that we would have had enough had we only ordered one this time - it was disappointing to say the least. The service was great - everyone was lovely and upbeat and happy to be there. When they brought our food out and even to clean our plates off our table. I do wish there was a recycle program implemented because the food is so great. It would be amazing if there were some initiatives that ChopShop used because the area is very waste-conscious...eating out of a recyclable bowl but throwing it in the trash seems a little senseless.
