I've been to several Potbelly locations around the Valley but this one stands out due to the fast, friendly, and professional service that I received. All staff members worked with purpose and I was in and out the door in five minutes. All staff members were masked as well, which I appreciated. This is not the case in all Potbelly locations that I have been to, so this Phoenix location will receive my repeat business. I like a "warm" sub and Potbelly subs are nice and toasty. My favorite of their subs in the tuna sub. There were no noticeable onions in their tuna mix, which is a good thing in my book. They offer three sizes of subs, so there's something for every appetite level. I also love their bags of mini oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, which are fresh and delicious. The bag is re-sealable so you don't have to eat 12 in one sitting if you don't want to. It's worth it to download the Potbelly app to your phone. You can earn rewards fairly quickly and they do offer a "birthday reward" around your birthday.

Food is always good at potbelly. My go to sandwich is their mamas meatball and I make sure to order their sugar cookie.

This was a pretty good sandwich as I got the chicken breast, bacon and cheese. Nothing too special, but tasted good toasted.

I ordered a sandwich from this potbelly 2/21/22 and it was the worst. Not sure if my request to sub cheddar for Swiss made them mad but in any case I received a sandwich with not only no cheese but no toppings whatsoever (see pic). Took one bite and bread was stale so it went straight in the garbage. I do not recommend ordering from this place

I had 2 sandwiches they were both just ehhh (average) I ordered online and my food was ready once I got there but tell me why I ordered an Oreo shake and was given vanilla (it was basic). I was not impressed and I don't plan on going back!

This is a simple, get-a-meal-in-a-pinch, sandwich shop. The employees were efficient and the ingredients were fresh and of good quality. Be sure to use the Potbelly App to receive perks.

An old faux movie poster for Ronald Reagan's "Bedtime for Brezhnev"

Potbelly's is a one of a kind sandwich shop, that our family loves! I tend to vacillate between which toasted sandwich I like best. The Wreck, which is Salami, Roast Beef, Turkey, Ham & Swiss Cheese, or the Roast Beef, which is thinly Sliced Angus Beef and Provolone Cheese. Friend and fellow Yelp'er King Scott prefers The Wreck. As you will find, both are very good. Potbelly also has soups and various sides, like macaroni and potato salad, chips and whole pickles. If you are pregnant, I guess this is the place to come and eat. I believe Potbelly's price and sandwich size are just right, one of King Scott's kids likes to jokingly call them Empty-belly. Their perceived small size (7 inches) or not, $4.70 is more than fair for something this good. You can decide. Back in Illinois, where Potbelly was started, they carry a larger size simply called: "Bigs", that are thirty percent larger. On our visit, we were told they would soon carry the larger size as well. Nice! Like most Potbellys, this one too has a potpourri of visual candy. My favorite is the faux movie poster called "Bedtime for Brezhnev", of former President Reagan and Soviet leader Brezhnev. It's located over the booth area, opposite from where you order (see photo). Another nice touch is the live music that Potbelly offers, this day we had a guitar player. It's fun and makes the Potbelly experience unique. If your waist line allows it, I would also recommend their Shakes and Malts. I've been told by others that they're delicious! FYI, there are three locations here in the Valley, including this one. You can also go to: 534 W McDowell, or One East Washington. Both are in Phoenix. A new location will be opening soon on North Scottsdale Road, near Thunderbird. Very nice. Enjoy!

My go-to toasted sandwich joint. Always on-point and perfectly toasted subs. They even got the zapps voodoo heat chips to go with it.

The Food The Chicken Parm: A standout dish. The chicken is perfectly tender with a light, crisp exterior that holds up beautifully against the rich marinara sauce. The melted cheese on top adds just the right amount of indulgence, keeping the classic flavor profile intact while feeling incredibly fresh. Air-Fried Fries: A total game-changer. They deliver all the satisfying, crispy texture of a traditional fry but without the greasy aftermath. Perfectly seasoned and guilt-free. The Side Salad: The ideal counterpart to the meal. Crisp, vibrant greens tossed in a light, bright vinaigrette that cuts through the richness of the chicken parm and refreshes the palate.

The only thing that I didn't…read morelike is that each item I asks about, she said it was really good, which usually something is not. She did mention that she prefers another salad over what I selected, and I like when servers tell me their favorite items. It definitely seems like a place for a business lunch, I went by myself and actually quite a few people were there by themselves in case you're shy about dining in by yourself. It was fairly busy for a Monday morning lunch. I originally was going to get their lunch special to go bc I have stuff to do, but they said it wasn't available to go. Since I did actually have time to sit for a bit I decided to dine in. (It says dine in only on the bottom of the menu but my brain conveniently skipped over that part) When they seat you they stick a white card on the table that the server picks up after they've come to the table. I feel like it's a subtle thing that clues in the servers about which tables they've been to, especially on a busy night. I had an iced matcha with almond milk. It was sweet, but not too sweet. Matcha grade seemed on par with what I'd expect in a matcha beverage. Lunch special was $20 for a drink, main and side. Some stuff was a surcharge. I had the burger and Chinese chicken salad. Drink was a pink dragon fruit lemonade which I knew my mini mini would love, so I saved it for her. I thought it was a little tart for me, she thought it was amazing. The burger- I requested to add pickles bc I love them. It was cooked nicely, flavor was decent. I'm a huge fan of white cheddar. The sauce, per the server, was ketchup and Mayo, and they didn't drown the burger in it, so that was good. I think they make their pickles in house and tbh, I know I would have liked the burger less without pickles. I think it needed a tiny bit of acidity for balance. It was a $5 surcharge. Overall I enjoyed it, 8.5/10 The Chinese chicken salad was a hearty salad, and a lot of beautiful colors and textures. Watermelon radish is so pretty in this. The carrot ginger dressing wasn't over the top with ginger. I think the natural sweetness of the carrot really tones it down. The toasted quinoa, I could take it or leave it, but it didn't taste bad, I'm just not a huge quinoa fan. 8/10, and a $2 surcharge. So, if you want to get it as close to $20 before tax and tip, don't get anything that they have a surcharge for, but I liked what I got, it came to under $40 before tip. I wanted to try the kale aid but I'll get that next time. (A $5 surcharge if you get the lunch option) Another plus- I think the straws are biodegradable but they are not the paper straws that dissolves 2 sips in. Yay! The chocolate chip cookie- to me it tasted like they put banana in it. If you're hoping for a chewy chocolate chip cookie, this is not it. It's thick and fairly soft. It reminded me of when people make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies- similar texture. The tcho chocolate in it was good, but I didn't like the actual cookie dough that much. Mini mini thought it was so good, but she also thought it tasted like banana was in it. I think it was a 6/10, mini mini would give it an 8/10. So, about a 7/10. Restroom was relatively clean, had a baby changing table in the stall if needed. The floor seemed a bit sticky though. Would I come back? Yes when I'm in the area, I don't live close by.

I parked in the parking garage, which I am not a huge fan of, but that is where the Hearsay website said to park for validation. Some of the others in my group did use the valet at the Ritz. We were seated promptly and ordered some drinks to start including wine, sangria and mocktails. Everyone enjoyed their drinks! We also started with a couple of appetizers for the table including burrata and crispy tuna rice bites. For entrees, we went with a variety of items at the table. My friend Arlene and I split the salmon and asked for extra veggies. Other friends enjoyed the Cobb Salad, Grilled Cheese and french fries, and fish tacos. We were pretty full after that but decided to share the Chocolate Chip cookie for dessert and it was a perfect sweet ending. Hearsay definitely caters to the Happy Hour / after work crew. They close at 8 and our group was one of the last there the evening we went. Service was attentive and friendly and there is an energetic open vibe inside too. I will absolutely return - especially for lunch or happy hour!

My guess is that your spec is al dente which is more crunchy than fork tender. If that is truly how it is to be presented, I will bypass the roasted veggies in the future. Like I said it was my very first time doing a Yelp review and ever ordering from the original Chop Shop. Also FYI my name is Amalia, not Amelia. Thanks for the response. I ordered thru door dash the spicy Korean bowl with roasted veggies and sweet potatoes. 2/3 of the bowl was obnoxious pieces of broccoli that were basically raw. I pulled out 99% of the broccoli and I was left with very little to enjoy. The beef was very tender and flavorful and the sauce was amazing with the sweet potatoes. Just disappointing about the roasted veggies because I believe there was some kale in there and some matchstick carrots but the ratio was uneven and the broccoli was inedible. Just passing it along as someone who's worked in the food service industry for over 40 years. . I have never liked Yelp because people abuse it. I'm just leaving constructive criticism.
