Teriyaki Chicken Bowl with brown rice and sweet potatoes
Tisha R.

This is my first time at this location. We were in the area and stopped in to take friends to brunch before their flight. This is a perfect location. We made it after maneuvering construction in the area and just before the lunch rush. The entire staff was friendly and provided wonderful service. I'm familiar with the menu so explained the various menu options. Everyone enjoyed their choice. There were 2 breakfast wraps/sandwiches and 2 Teriyaki Chicken bowls. The footprint is on the smaller side but there's outside seating. The restroom is clean.

Last month, I went to the ASU Tempe Original ChopShop and had a negative experience where it took most of my lunch hour just to get my lunch especially after a substitution wasn't correctly done. My colleague finished her lunch well before I started mine. While it was overall a negative experience, I have been in touch with Original ChopShop and shared feedback with them and also was invited back to try a meal there again. I am pleased that my experience today was very positive and shows me that every restaurant has a one-off experience every now and then. When I arrived today just before the lunch hour, I expected there to be a line and a long wait though I walked right up to place an order where Brendan helped me customize a sandwich (ordering a Chicken & Prosciutto sandwich with the prosciutto being substituted for turkey). Brendan quickly caught on to what I wanted and ensured that the order was properly noted. He also told me about the seasonal lemonade (Strawberry Ginger Lemonade), which I thought might be too gingery though Brendan got me a small sample, and I liked it, so I ordered that, too. The sandwich and lemonade arrived in less than ten minutes to the table where I was sitting with the number they gave me. The sandwich and drink were both tasty, and I will be ordering both again soon. I also observed the kiosks being used regularly along with a lot of online orders showing up and picking their food up in a timely manner over the lunch hour. I realized also that my prior visit was the day after graduation when it was still very busy while today was a typical lighter summer day. I look forward to visiting again when it's busy during the academic year. I also wanted to share that the Chops Loyalty program is a worthwhile program, which you can read more about at https://originalchopshop.com/loyalty-rewards. You can use the Original ChopShop app to order ahead and skip the line, get delivery, save your favorite orders, earn Chops (points) with every purchase, and choose your own rewards. There are also exclusive challenges and contests at locations and through social media. Thank you to the Original ChopShop team for being responsive to my previous feedback and getting me back in the door. I would recommend this location based on today's experience, and I will certainly be back.

My friend and I came here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. There is a lot of outdoor seating and limited indoor seating. You will have to find street parking because there is no dedicated parking lot. I believe I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl and it was really good! If you've ever been to Flower Child, the quality is comparable so you know it is really tasty. I liked that this place offers healthy and fresh options for lunch. Inside, you can either order with a staff member or with a self-serve kiosk. I wasn't too much of a fan of the inside aesthetic, but the outside was really pretty with plants and benches, chairs, and tables. I would come back here again!

Stopped in post workout at Orange Theory down the street. OG Chop Shop is a great spot. This particular location is located on the ASU campus and gets plenty of foot traffic. It's generally pretty quick and easy experience. I usually only go once in a while for a protein shake. My only real complaint about this spot is the smell!! When you first walk in it's a bit sewer-y. Is that a word? Well it is now. I've been to a few places that are like this and it's just unpleasant ambiance lol. But I'm usually in there and out. Plus, if I were going to dine-in I'd sit outside on their large backyard like patio. Cheers to your health!

More indoor sitting area.

As I was riding my bike, I saw this place and made a quick stop to try it out. Now, make no mistake: this place has so many healthy items on its menu that it should please just about any health nut. But my first experience was not that great. They had plenty of places to sit, whether you like to sit indoors or outdoors. I decided to try the "Glow Up Shake," which is their protein shake. The shake was okay; it didn't blow me away. Considering that it has banana, pineapple, dates, etc., I was hoping it would melt in my mouth with a galaxy of flavor--darn, no such luck. But like I said, it was an okay drink that I think others might like. Now, as for the $3 pre-wrapped Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie? The first cookie they brought me was hard as a diamond. I asked if they could heat it up to soften it a bit like they do at Starbucks, but he said they can't? Wow, I didn't realize that heating a Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie was so complex that it can't be done by some places. Anyway, the minor good news was he brought me a different cookie that was soft enough to bend and break off a piece and chew without worrying about breaking a tooth. But the big question is, will I be back? Of course I will; the place has a plethora of healthy food which I like. And I'm sure when I order something other than a diamond-hard Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie, my experience will be somewhat better. This place does have a fantastic Wi-Fi. That's a plus.

Really healthy, delicious options! I had the Thai salad and my husband had the steak sandwich. Sat outside in the nice patio! Only downside is the patio has pigeons.

Mmm, love chopshop! Great for to go, I had the hot honey chicken bowl and it's sooooo good! I also tried it with tofu which was delicious. Cute place!

We went during lunch time. The service was fast. I was able to order and find outside seating. They will be your order to your table. I ordered the Citrus Thai Salad: This is packed with flavor and has a lot of vegetables. Loved that the dressing had a spicy kick. For someone that loves spicy this is a great choice! This salad contains house greens, orange segments, roasted red pepper, pickled carrot, jicama, cucumber, green onion, peanut, cilantro, sesame seed, and Thai peanut dressing on the salad.

First stop after we landed in Phoenix was a hit. We were looking something filling but on the healthier side. I ordered the Thai Coconut Chicken Bowl with Quinoa and Roasted Veggies. The portions are generous and there was plenty to take as leftovers. The sauce for the coconut chicken tied the bowl together nicely. The only thing I would change is less onions in the roasted veggies. Would recommend if you're in the area!

This place NEVER lets me down the food is always fresh and made to order! The service is amazing and the ambience is inviting! If you want healthy food, great service and good prices, check out the Original Chopshop.

This is a great spot to stop by if you are looking for a healthy alternative. The ambiance is great, a little crowded in the inside but they have a patio section to enjoy the sun- we came in a rainy day so unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy it so we had to sit inside which was a bit loud. I got the turkey sandwich which was good but did not do chips or any add one and it was $12 for a regular sandwich. We also tried their bowls which the Thai bowl came with the best tasting sauce! The service was quick and polite- had no issues with it! They also bring you your food if you order in. They have a selection of some refreshing drinks as well! Would like to go again, but with pricey it is not sure you are getting your moneys worth

Thai Coconut Chicken Bowl GF and Beet GFVEG

I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. Chop shop is one of the few healthy restaurants in the area, which is why my mum and I frequent so much. When we last visited they were out of cheese and grilled veggies. Bummer because I was really look forward to having a really filling bowl. The Thai coconut chicken itself was really good and I was happy about that, the service and the cute restaurant.

Red Chili Lime Shrimp Bowl GF
Amanda C.

Got delivery and everything arrived on time and well packaged. Got the chili lime shrimp bowl with brown rice, sweet potatoes, and roasted veg. Filled my shrimp craving and was delicious! Felt healthy and was very filling, I had leftovers. Also tried the chocochip cashew cookie and espresso cookie. Loved the chocochip but not really a espresso fan. If you like coffee it'd be good to try. Soft and chewy cookies.

While the ambience is fairly simple, the overall experience is a positive one, especially once the food arrives. I ordered the lox and bagel and was impressed by how substantial the portion was. The lox was generously layered, with a large amount of arugula on top. The arugula appeared to be lightly dressed with olive oil, which added great flavor. While it did not fully align with my personal dietary preferences, it was well executed, and I would be happy to return to see if it can be adjusted. The dirty chai was another highlight in terms of flavor. It was well spiced and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Although it was described as very hot when delivered, it arrived closer to lukewarm, but the taste itself was enjoyable. Service was efficient and attentive. The check was dropped off relatively early, which initially felt a bit quick, but our server continued to check in on us throughout the meal, creating a balanced and courteous experience. The fresh squeezed orange juice was excellent, and everything we ordered was well prepared. Parking in the area can be challenging, though the nearby parking structure behind Pedalhaus makes it more manageable. Overall, this is a reliable brunch option with strong portions, thoughtful flavors, and enough positives to make it a place I would gladly return to.

It was absolutely delicious and the best part of the dining experience. The BLTA (Bacon Lettuce Tomato Avacado) sandwich was way too heavy on the lettuce and the bread was quite hard, making it difficult to eat. It was moreso a handheld salad. Service was okay, though not especially attentive, as our water wasn't refilled. At the host stand there was some confusion when we arrived. She didnt realize we were standing there and then when my boyfriend asked a question about a menu item she didnt respond. Not sure if she was just not paying attention, the music was too loud, or didnt want to converse with us. Sort of awkward. Overall, the experience was mixed, but the butter cake French toast was delicious.

There is a small patio on their south side; the light rail to their north. The guy who delivered our food was more friendly. The cinnamon roll was so dry, I swear it had been sitting out for a week -- and there was too much cinnamon. My sister's classic eggs benedict was unappetizing; the English muffin, too, was dry. She immediately told us there was only outdoor seating available and didn't even mention that waiting for an indoor table was an option. Keep in mind, it was 110°F on a Sunday in Arizona. My husband had really been looking forward to trying this place, so we asked what was available and decided to stay. We were seated outside near the entrance. Shortly afterward, we watched the hostess tell other guests who arrived after us that indoor seating was available with only a 5-minute wait. Why wasn't that option offered to us? We absolutely would have waited. Unfortunately, the hostess's attitude and the way the situation was handled completely changed the experience for us. I tried the Reuben with tater tots, and honestly, it was one of the best reubens I've had. The meat-to-sauerkraut ratio was dialed in, the marble rye was toasted perfectly, and there was a buttery crispness to the bread that made every bite feel intentional. Not dry, not soggy, not falling apart like it gave up halfway through brunch. Just a really well-built sandwich. The presentation was picture perfect too, which is always appreciated before I destroy it in no time flat. And the tots? Respectfully, more restaurants need to take notes. These weren't sad little freezer nuggets tossed onto the plate as an afterthought. They were hot, crispy outside, soft inside, and actually seasoned. I definitely picked up garlic, and I definitely kept eating them long after I said, "Okay, last one." Then came the Crazy Clucker, which is less of a menu item and more of a structural engineering project. It starts with what tasted like a homemade biscuit, toasted just right and topped with honey. Under that is a fried egg with just enough runny yolk and gravy to make things interesting, then chicken fried bacon, which sounds like something invented during a dare but somehow works unbelievably well. And yes, hiding under all that is a chicken thigh, because apparently regular chicken and waffles weren't dramatic enough anymore. The hash browns on the side were also really good: golden, hearty, soft inside, with a little extra char instead of full crisp. I'm usually a crispy hash brown loyalist, but these still won me over. By the end, I wanted a second helping of basically everything, which is both a compliment and a personal problem. Bottom line: Brunch Snob lives up to the name in the best way. Friendly staff, quick service, huge portions, big flavor, fun presentation, and food that makes you immediately start planning what you'll order next time.
