I would give them more than 5 stars if it was available. This was the last room in our house that we needed to remodel, but due to my husband's health limitations, we had to ask for external contractors. Orion Tile really came through for us! Mike and his team are the best thing ever. Our kitchen is looking so good and it's definitely because the high quality of work and attention to detail that was given during our kitchen remodel. Countertops, sink and backsplash install were all completed so quickly and with professionalism. We had a hiccup with the sink cracking and having to get replaced and this was done ridiculously quickly with removal of the old sink and putting in the new one. He recommended me a sink during the consult but I didn't go with it, picking up a cheaper sink on my own, such a fail. Go with his recommendations LOL. Could not recommend enough. In fact, we ended up purchasing a pallet of tiles to repair/partially renovate my bathroom, and i was very pleased with the result. The part to which they fell short on, is customer follow up. Part of our order was misfulfilled and I had brought back the incorrect product at my own expense. Since it was a relatively small box of accessories, I had also requested for it to be UPS'd to the job site. Unfortunately the delivery never happened, and because my contractor was already scheduled to install, I had to grab in-stock material from another company to prevent the project from being delayed. Good selection - 4 stars Awful service-0 stars I'm a returning customer and the workers know me. They over quoted me on prices. I went to other nearby stores and told them they're over charging me. Sandra said she wanted to "see" my quite do they can price match. They wouldn't beat prices and I ended up buying from them because they had a few tiles no else had. The tiles were cracked when I went to pick them up. Sandra started arguing with me telling she's been doing this longer than I've been alive. Pat's of the order were missing. Toni the other worker apologized and said, she didn't put the whole order in. My project is now delayed. They wouldn't deliver and made me drive all the way to pick the parts that weren't ordered initially. My advice- stay away! There are plenty of places nearby that are competent and reasonably priced. read more

Due to lack of planning by my general contractor I went to Orion to look at options that would allow me to move forward. The doors were locked but the slab yard was open. I called their number and Mike answered. He checked and called me back to let me know the slab man was with a customer and would return in 45 minutes. In the course of the conversation Mike asked me to give him 10-15 minutes and he would come help me. I explained my situation. Mike was very helpful and I picked out a quartz that was in stock at the manufacturer. I texted the info to my contractor. Mike said my contractor wouldn't call him; that he was only using him to have me pick a product. When I spoke to my contractor I asked him to buy the slabs from Orion because Mike was so helpful (when he certainly didn't have to be so accommodating). In the end, Mike was right and my contractor went elsewhere. I continued to ask Mike other questions and he continued to help me knowing he wasn't getting the order. I would highly recommend Mike and I hope I get the chance to do business with him where he can actually get a monetary reward. In the meantime, I will let my realtor and friends know that Mike is the go to man for these products. read more

I was doing the rounds on State College to find porcelain wood planks Orion was my second stop. While they didn't have as large a selection as some of the other stores they had a great deal on some planks from Spain that I eventually came back to buy. Really happy with the planks we ended up with although please keep in mind that they don't keep anything on hand which means you'll be waiting a few days or have to go to their warehouse near san bernardino. read more

We always go to Orion for our tiling needs. They have great selection, and they always give us a good price. We've had our whole downstairs, entryway and master bedroom bathroom done by Orion. I wish we could have done our countertops with them too, but they outsource that to someone else, and we really didn't care for the guy. They come in and do the job fast and well. Sometimes these projects can be disastrous and take forever, but Orion is good. My only complaint is that they don't give you a price on the spot. The owner will give it to you the next day or so. read more

First time with Mike at Orion (found him at another location: Marble Yard Granite and Marble). Overall, price was reasonable and service was great. We purchased quartz countertops and installation for our kitchen. Main points: 1. Mike was willing to open and stay late to accommodate work schedule to see products. He was responsive to text messages and phone calls. 2. The due or delivery dates were on time or reasonably close. 3. Installation went almost flawlessly, except that after the countertops were in, we discovered that the hardware holes for the faucets and dispenser were drilled incorrectly (the holes were partially blocked by the back of the sink). Called Mike on Monday to explain and he scheduled someone to come out to evaluate within several hours. This countertop was replaced by Wednesday. Even though it set the project back by several days, Mike took care of us and ensured a smooth fix. 4. After the countertop was replaced, Mike came out personally to ensure everything went well and even dropped off a cutting board for our trouble. Problems do arise on most projects and I can say that I was very satisfied with Mike's customer service and attentiveness. This was not the cheapest vendor I visited, but felt that the price reflected the quality and service received. Will come again on future projects and strongly recommend. read more

Buyer beware, GET YOUR QUOTE IN WRITING! I cannot emphasize this enough. We hired Orion to do our counter tops and backsplash.Mikhail (sp?) originally gave us a verbal quote for granite and backsplash installation in our kitchen. Because of the size of our island we were unable to use prefab materials and had to purchase 2 full slabs. During the sales process, he was very charming and basically promised the moon in service. What we got: *Demolition that completely destroyed the walls (we knew there would be damage, but it looked like a bomb went off in our kitchen!). *Their sub contractors who showed up late, if at all. The first time they were scheduled to measure and put on sub-tops, they didn't show up. The second time they were scheduled, they showed up 4 hours late and didn't do anything, so we had to reschedule for a third time, when they finally took the measurements. *We were told that the contractor who took the measurements would also install, which did not happen. *They sent a contractor to repair the walls prior to the backsplash installation, who used thin-set to patch without any web tape, and left it in such a mess, that the installer had to redo all of the patchwork. All throughout this process Mikhail was hassling us for payment, culminating in the day that the backsplash installation, he showed up at our home requesting money.I told him, he would get his final payment when the job was complete and we were satisfied, and when he delivered the excess granite from our slabs as agreed. He tried to convine us, that the slab yard would store it on our behalf! Really? No, when it is delivered and the splash is done you will get you payment. Now for the money matters. We were verbally quoted one price. We made some material adjustments so we expected an increase of about $300 dollars, what we got was billed for an additional $850 on top of the $300 we expected! When we question the bill prior to the backsplash installation, he made excuses for the made up additional fees, like they had to polish the granite edges around the sink opening. What that is not part of the fabrication cost? Our assumption is he underbid the job, and was trying to compensate for the loss of revenue. When my husband told him to forget doing any additional work and that we would only pay for was was complete, he finally backed down and made adjustments to the invoice. After the confrontation in our home regarding the excess granite, he had it delivered to our home, admittedly that was the only promise he actually followed through on. My suggestion to anyone considering doing business with Orion: Get a written quote with a breakdown for martial, fabrication and installation! I hate to be cynical, but I should know better than thinking that a man's handshake is their word! In this case, it definitely was not! read more

What a shame, and a waste of my time. I visited this showroom several times looking for tile for a backsplash. I picked one but I asked to see it before I bought it, because they did not have a physical floor sample. Mike took me to the warehouse, (also in Anaheim, probably about 3 miles away) and the guys there showed me a sheet of the mosaic I wanted. I liked it and they said they would make sure that is what I got. I came back the following day to pick up the tile, and opened the boxes. The tile in the boxes was nothing like what I had picked, at all. (the marble at the warehouse had a gold streak in it, whereas this marble was all gray and white. it was clearly a different kind of marble.) Mike asked me to come back to the warehouse, and and I had a problem with that. I was already at the warehouse once, why should I go back? Mike loaded the tile up and went to the warehouse himself to check the tile. He was gone maybe 30 minutes, and then he called the other worker at the store and told him to give me my money back. I got my credit on my credit card...and that was it. No offers to help me find something else...no explanation as to why the stone was different. They kept saying they were moving warehouses. In any case, they lost a customer that day, and I would never recommend them to anyone. After I wasted hours with them, I was back to square one. read more

My wife and I were searching for corner rounds and beaks to match the tile we picked out for our bathroom. We searched as many places in the area, and there are a lot, as we could take and finally came to this place. First let me say when you are shopping for accent tile pieces you generally get no help in the store because it is not a big $$ sale for the store so that means looking for the perfect color is basically up to your own efforts. After talking to the guy at this store he suggested we visit his warehouse around the corner and look at his surplus inventory. Anything that we liked we could have at a discount so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived we were greeted by a worker who took us all around the huge warehouse as we pulled samples to compare. He was very helpful and patient with us(we were very picky about the color). In the end we found a color that worked and the price was 1/2 off his retail price! And when the project required extra pieces that we did not estimate for we just called the warehouse and he would pull what ever we needed asap for pick up. The extra customer service we received when we were frazzled from all the looking we had done was a welcome relief. Thanks again! read more

I would NEVER recommend Orion Tile to anyone!! They are SO rude! Especially if you are a woman! It's mainly one person there and his name is William. He is even rude to his coworkers. I Made a big purchase of tile for my kitchen and it was the worst mistake ever! First I went to make the purchase and picked everything out paid and went home. Then to get a phone call from his saying to come back because one of the tiles was discontinued. I don't live close and he told me u needed to come back the same day because he can't cancel the charge to my card because it would cost him money. Ok whatever, I went back and had to redesign everything. Second he told me it would take a week, it took two! Third when I picked it up the border piece wasn't the right one!! He yelled at me and insisted I was wrong and he was right! I even had a picture on my cell phone of the one I picked and he proceeded to tell me I was wrong. He sat there and yelled louder and louder and then told me to leave instead of trying to fix it and give suggestions. I was so mortified and couldn't believe he was treating a cotswolds like that when I just spent $1400! I was upset and left and will NEVER go back there! read more

My Story: My wife liked some tile which was more than twice the price of similar tiles at other places. Now since she liked it, I bought it and was told that the return policy is within 15 days and that they will take away 30% off for re-stocking. (Pretty steep!!) I had no intention of returning but had to buy about 50% extra because that's what my contractor told me. The work was little delayed and I did not even use those tiles because they did not look good. When I went to return the shop was closed! because they close at 4.00 PM I went the next day and she (Sandra) took the tiles and told that she will try but there is no guarantee that she can return because it is 1 day late. Next day they refused and I wasted hundreds of dollars for their fraud way of business. I had called up the whole-seller to check return policy and they told me that they have different terms-n-conditions of returns with different sellers but are pretty liberal...that's why to me this is fraud business model. read more

We started a large remodel project in our home a year ago, and came upon Mike at Orion when we started our search for kitchen and bath countertop materials. Mike demonstrated his responsiveness, professionalism, and ability to help us find the right product as we moved through the project. He came to our home in no time to look at the project and assist us in selecting an appropriate quartzite slabs and backsplash. When we unexpectedly had to change our plans due to another contractor's failure, Mike came to the rescue and partnered with us again to find an alternate product - at the last minute. His installation team did a meticulous job in developing the templates as ours was a somewhat complex configuration. (We gave the counter installation job to Mike rather than our GC because he had proven himself to be so well-qualified and reliable.) The countertops look spectacular and we absolutely love them and the backsplash, as well! We would completely go with Mike for any stone/tile needs we might have in the future. I went with these guys because they said their installers were employees of Orion tile. Lies! When the crew got there I knew immediately they where not employees. They were not familiar with the crew leader (who did no work, just showed up once a day for 15 minutes to check on them) and they spoke almost no english. I had to explain to them several times I wanted my wood look tile planks layed in a random pattern. They started install, not random! I actually had to draw a diagram with random measurements so they could follow it. When I spoke to the manager about the lie about the crew being empoyees, he said it was a misunderstanding, only the crew leader did. Trust me, when I was there deciding on purchase, I clearly triple checked that the installers were employees. That was my biggest deciding factor, so I wanted to be sure. He even went as far as to tell me it was an Armenian crew because I am Armenian. No, just the lazy crew leader, who didn't show concern for anything was Armenian. I hate being lied to to get the sale. They really did crappy work too, I had to stay on them constantly. I could go into detail about the crappy work, but instead I'll just say stay away from this place of business. There are so many other options out there, I highly suggest you cross this place off your list. read more
