Orkin was able to fit us in on short notice and sent an expert in Marcus J. For a very reasonable fee, they assessed our flea outbreak and knocked out out on less than two hours. Marcus was exceptionally nice, professional and really helped to educate us on techniques to manage the pests going forward, including bi monthly visits going forward. If I could put 0 i would. I tired to get a wasp nest that was out of my reach delt with and the receptionist that I spoke with on the initial call convinced me to sign up for a yearly plan. We called on Sunday and they agreed to come out Monday. They were told it was a high nest but on Monday showed up with no ladder. My wife said he comically tried to stand on the hood of his truck to spay the nest but failed. He said that they would send a 2 man team out the next day to deal with it and do our initial spray. By Thursday no one had contacted us so both my wife and I called and they told us that someone would call on Friday to make sure it was taken care of. No one called. So Sunday I called again to ask about service and was given a Monday appointment between 8:30-10. No one showed up so I called and got a managers number. James Murphy. I called James and left a frustrated voicemail. It was a frustrated voicemail not mean or angry. Then I drove to work and tried to call again and found out HE BLOCKED MY NUMBER. So I called the 800 number again and asked if I could get his managers number. I called Justin Hoover and have yet to hear back. Do not use Orkin if you live in the Leesburg Area. Absolutely ridiculous. Orkin should shut down this branch. I have literally been on the phone for hours and miss hours of work to get absolutely no response. I will find a local company and will never recommend Orkin to anyone. read more

We thought we had bed bugs bc our kids were getting what we perceived as bug bites. Even though we checked for the usual signs and didn't see any, washed everything, sprayed everything, vacuumed and did the whole nine yard, our kids continued to get bug bites. After two weeks of mystery, we called Orkin to get a professional to inspect our home. We called the 1-800 number on the website, and the inspection cost $99. (Should have called their office directly) Ray, (the inspector), came out the same day to inspect our home and was very honest from the beginning stating he did not see any signs of the bed bugs. He continued to inspect ours rooms while telling us what signs he was looking for. He also provided suggestions of what else could be causing the bites such as chiggers, which were common in our area, and carpet beetles. He advised how to get rid of the pests ourselves (steam vac, frequent vacuuming, especially the edges of our rooms, and recommended a product that we could use at home). He provided his contact information and told us we can reach out to him with any questions. Also if we continued to get bites, to give him a call and he'll bring another inspector with him for a second opinion (free of charge). A day later, we found a bug on our bed that looked like a carpet beetle. We sent him a picture via email that evening (around 10:30pm) and he responded early the next morning. My husband sent him a few more questions and he responded within minutes. We really appreciate the advice he provided and how quickly he responded! read more

By far the worst service ever! We called them to remove yellow Jacket Bees and were told they would spray they would spray the infected spot, around the house, check perimeter for other bees and/or food sources. They were 4 1/2 hours late, guy came out, spent 5 minutes sprayed the infected spot and when I asked about the perimeter, he responded "we don't do that". So $350.00 for a 5-minute job. $70.00 a minute! SERIOUSLY? UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL, DECIEVING (LIARS). WILL NEVER ALL THEM AGAIN and will dispute my credit card charge as well as let my Homeowners Association know. Write letter to BBB - already posted on Facebook. When the tech performed the termite inspection more steaks were needed along the house and under the deck. However he did not have any and said he would notify the office to provide them. This did not happen. He left his business card and I called him. It was his day off and had me call the 800 number. They told me they would call the office and have the steaks put along the house. To date, this has not been done. I have service for carpenter ants this Wednesday. I sent an email to the local office about the lack of service. When I called today for a time of the Wednesday service I also mentioned the service issue. I did receive a call back and I was told they had received more steaks (6 weeks to get wood steaks) and the tech will install them Monday morning. Since Orkin bought Western service has declined and cost gone up. I have been considering a change if this continues. read more

This company is horrible, don't care about customers, don't call back to address complaints, repeated quality issues, don't resolve the problem, but extremely efficient and super quick in charging your credit card. My Tech has been with me for about 12 years. He was with PermaTreat who Orkin recently purchased. They sent me a text yesterday saying they were coming between 10 and 12 today. No warning (my former Tech called to schedule in advance). I called their office as listed in the text at 7:30. Got voice mail so I called their 800 number. I told the rep I called the local office at 7:30 and that their message says they open at 7:00. She corrected me and said the shop opened at 7:30, but the office opens at 8:00. I am so glad she straightened me out about their message. NOT! She said they would call me. They did in about 10 minutes. I asked the person who called me where my regular Tech was. He told me he was no longer at that location. I said okay, got it. I responded "you are fired." Then I hung up. I'll find another service. To me this is a personal service and Orkin is not a good company at all when it comes to customer service. From a text just out of the blue that you are coming at a time that is convenient for them to the lady on the 800 number correcting me about the office hours, I am done with them. Stay as far away from these idiots as possible. They could not spell bug if you spotted them the B and the G. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for today, checked the online system to see when the tech would arrive and saw that it had been changed to Monday a week from now. No warning, no notice, nothing. Terrble - do not use Orkin! We received poor service including the spraying of our lawn while our dog was outside despite repeated warnings we gave them not do do this. We cancelled our service in 2011 and just received notification from a collection agency that we owed them money for services that we don't believe were ever requested or provided! Given the time that has elapsed we could not prove it and had no choice but to settle this to clear it. read more

If you tell a customer you have computer problems, you really should start writing down appointments and make it a point to be at the second rescheduled appointment!!!
