What a horrible experience with Orkin! I signed up for service at several of my properties in January 2020 before the Covid restrictions happened. I received phone calls from field managers when I chose an attic treatment that cost a little over $3K. I got calls from technicians before they would come out to treat any of my properties. Covid happened and of course non essential services stopped. I didn't get any notice from Orkin that - they were classified as "essential." As a result I missed ONE PAYMENT of $97 dollars. When I reached out, I kept getting connected to the same rude young lady named Bayyinah. To make a long story short they reached out to my tenants and not me as they did the one service (outside of the house) I failed to pay for... Without speaking directly to me, they put that $97 dollar bill into COLLECTIONS. I'm STILL getting calls from collections after I paid the bill. I regret giving them my business. I wanted to honor the agreement and tried to switch branches from DC to Waldorf but they told me I had to start a new contract and treated me like I was delinquent thousands of dollars. read more

Poor customer service. Called every month to cancel services and even got charged for an unauthorized service. Find another exterminator. They didn't even help with my mouse problem. We got rid of them on our own. read more

Unimpressed! For the past six months I have had a horrible mouse problem in my condo. Our condo has a commercial contract with Orkin who visits once a week. The only service they provide is to give you a couple of sticky traps and a couple of bait traps with poison. I will say that the mice loved the poison and they were signs that they went after it with gusto. However, Orkin does not fix the issue of plugging the entry points where the mice are entering so matter how much poison mice ate, there were plenty more healthy ones entering my apartment. Today the Orkin guy shows up but forgot his poison. For real?? You are a pest management company and you show up with no supplies. If you live in DC and have a pest issue, don't rely on Orkin - they will not get rid of your problem. Find a local pest management company that offers my personalized services. read more

The worst!! Appointment scheduled for 8:00 to 10:00am. Received saying they wouldn't be here before 5:00pm!! Never again! I get another call saying they are 1 1/2 hrs away. Should be there around 12:00. Don't use them!!! Inspected my home, found bugs in one room. $500 to treat!!! Their policy is that you must do every room in the home!!! Even when they don't find anything!!! All or none!! If they charge you the max, they'll cancel and tell you to find someone else to do the work. They are a complete rip off!!! Save your time and money and go elsewhere. Our building contracts with Orkin so we went with them for our inspection. They performed a rush job, lackluster inspection and now we have called Orkin every day for three days straight to schedule our treatment. They won't return our numerous calls to schedule the actual treatment so we're going with someone else. Who cares about the money we paid for the inspection if the service is this bad? read more

These guys are horrible. I had an appointment for service....AND THEY DIDNT EVEN SHOW UP! Spent an entire day waiting for him, and missed work, but never even called to notify us that he wasn't coming. But they still took the money out of my account though. I would give Orkin zero stars if possible. We gave them one last chance. They canceled our Saturday morning appointment without informing us. I only found out it was canceled by calling Orkin. I explained how inconvenient this was and my history with working with Orkin. They didn't seem to care. Another pest control company it is. read more

Didn't show up and waisted my whole day. That aside, what a bad service! Absolutely hands down a complete joke! Most people freak out and don't want to deal with pest situation (including me) but in all honesty you would be extremely disposointed if you call these scammers amateurs. Go buy a few traps and place them along the wall where you think there is a mouse. If you have a larger pest problem, call a professional pest company. read more

My first service the guy who came did the bare minimum, it was a newly renovated condo so and I hadn't see any bugs even though I hadn't moved in yet. As the weeks went buy I noticed there were dead flies in the living room and saw multiple spiders. A couple more weeks went by and there was tons of dead bees on my living room floor. The first guy who came did not inspect the doors or perimeters to let me know of potential issues. One top of this I have made two appointments for someone to come out and both times no one showed up or even called me to let me know they wouldn't make it! I feel this is very unacceptable and I will definitely be making some calls tomorrow! I just feel like no one cares! I'm obviously having issues with pests and I'm paying money for a service and I can't even get anyone out to service me, how disappointing! I had Orkin since May, you talk about worst service they were awful. You schedule they come out and they do little to nothing if you're not watching them step-by-step nothing will get done. They never check the Trap and we found one with something on it that had been there for I don't know how long. I was on a every other month plan the next thing I know they're calling me almost every month talking about services do, like I was really going to be paying them to come out. Jennifer set up an appointment with me to come out a week after I spoke to the office about this matter and guess what she's up in management and she didn't show for our 8 to 10 appointment. I called and told them to cancel my service guess who called back talking about they're on their way she's going to have to go listen to the recording because she's pretty sure she told me before 12 and I'm pretty sure that I'm that crazy and I know what I'm talking about. The minute you want to cancel is the minute all of a sudden she's not in a meeting anymore and she could come to the telephone to return my call. I told her I will pay a company more money to come out and service me then to use them and I would never recommend anyone. This one star that I possibly may have to give them it's only because you have to. That's not fair because if they don't qualify for a star they shouldn't get one and in my book they do not qualify their belief that. Never recommend them ever again. Orkin invoiced me for a termite service policy, cashed the check and kept the money. When I sought to renew the policy, they claimed that I had never made payment. I provided a copy of the cashed check, and they said they would send me a refund, which never came. I have been calling them for 9 months seeking to resolve the claim, and I get a rounaround every time I call. I used them at a former house and they provided good service at competitive rates, and were honest. They even fixed damage that resulted from incomplete treatment.
