First, he was very friendly over the phone-call quote I requested - as it turns out, he is not able to assist with my particular issue due to the height of my property and the area of concern. I have never had mice before. I was freaked out. I feel like I clean all the time, and never leave food out. But yet I found Mouse poop every morning. My husband bought $120 worth of traps and poison from Home Depot. We tried that for a week and caught three, but kept seeing new poop daily. ultimately I wanted 100% reassurance they were gone. 6 days after Pest Chase came out I stopped seeing the poop and I haven't seen any mice since! He went above and beyond in the time he spent with me during the initial consultation and made sure that I understood everything and had all of my questions answered. Yesterday I discovered, what I thought was a yellow jacket/wasp in-ground nest in my front yard, and very close to my front door. I called Pest Chase and spoke with Sudha. She was incredibly professional and helpful. She told me she would make every effort to fit me in because I had house guests coming this weekend which included an infant. So for me, it was extremely important to resolve the issue. Sudha asked me to send her an email with the information so the inspector could come and not only inspect but provide an estimate. Within an hour I received an email from them and a text confirming the date (same day!) and time the inspector could come to my house. Within two hours, i received a call from Sundar (Sudha's husband). He was at the house and provided me an update. He stated, "....I've been here a little while and see no activity coming from hole/nest in the ground." He waited longer to ensure there were no wasps/yellow jackets going into/out of the ground. After thanking him many times, I asked, "How much do I owe you for your time/gas and inspection?" His reply, "nothing. It's part of the job." I was very impressed. I offered again and he repeated, "Its the least we can do and again, it's part of the job." Other less ethical companies may have simply did nothing and said to me (as I was at work and not at my house), "We took care of the issue and you owe us this amount." This was not the case. I was very impressed in two ways: (1) Sundar came out quickly and, (2) He had the integrity to not only NOT ask for any money for his time, but was an honest broker. Additionally, this was the primary reason which drove me to call them in the first place. Their prices were $50-$75 less expensive than the other four quotes I received before calling Pest Chase. This review is based on a phone call with Pest Chase owner, Sundar. I reached out to Pest Chase because of their terrific reviews. I rent a unit in a condo but interested in privately hiring a pest service hoping that this would better manage the problem of mouse infestation. He suggested that I "not waste your money" because the issue can't be effectively managed unless the entire building is treated. Since I am a tenant, he suggested that I talk to my property owner to address the issue with condo management. Sundar took the time to tell me how I personally could manage pest entry into the unit. He also explained how Covid is having an effect on rodent activity. This conversation with Sundar really made my day. I've been using Pest Chase for a couple of years now and greatly appreciate how responsive and professional they are. The owner, Sundar, has personally taken the time to address my questions related to insect, rodent, bee, etc control. Recently, he ended up explaining that the "bees" I thought were living in the ground near my flowerbed, were actually yellow jackets (eek!). I get both text and email reminders about service. On the occasions that I've failed to confirm, they call to verify that the appt date and time worked for me. On service days, the technicians alway verify what services they will be doing, ask about any concerns, and double check on the status of any children or pets in the home or yard. We had a mouse problem last year and called Pest Chase. Sundar was very helpful and responsive, and put down child-safe chemicals to address the problem. He also helped give us solutions we could use on our own, such as sealing off entryways. After a couple rounds of treatment, the mice have disappeared. I called this morning and scheduled an appointment for the same day. The service was extremely courteous and professional. I was only interested in a termite program. They informed me that they charge 100.00 outside Alexandria, just for an estimate. Of course they put that towards the service if you go with them. Given the excellent reviews on Yelp, I didn't think I wouldn't go with them. Yikes! The estimate for termite bait stations, 1800.00!!! Really! I highway robbery. I came inside after he left and called American pest, for almost identical service, it was 549.00 plus 29.00 a month. I think eighteen hundred is obscene. read more

I've been using Pest Chase since moving into my house a couple years ago. When we first moved in we had roaches in the basement, and they quickly took care of the problem, giving us peace of mind. Their regular service check ups are great with automated reminders and the service members are always friendly and courteous and have worn masks during covid. We use a combination of the Green pesticide option for indoors and regular pesticide for outdoors near the doorways. I like the options they provide. We've seen a few of big black bugs outside and then a couple snuck inside on our bottom floor. We originally had Aptive service and they were okay. But after our contract ended with them, we researched other companies and found Pest Chase. It's a local company and the customer service provided by the owner is fantastic. Sundar, the owner, informed that the big black bugs are actually oriental roaches and old town Alexandria has a problem with them currently. Our well-kept home was invaded by flying ants last spring (2018). We tried to get rid of the ants ourselves to no avail. Every morning, the ants were back and we'd spend the morning frantically vacuuming ants before going off to work. It was terrible! We found Pest Chase on Yelp. Let me begin by saying since I live in a condo community trying to control any type of bugs can be difficult due to close proximity in the buildings. I was developing an issue with roaches but I promise you within the first week of treatment they seemed to disappear. Not only that, but I also saw no real reoccurences in the months that followed! The technicians are very professional and prompt, they arrived to spray and an hour later I go back in no traces of smell or lingering odor from whatever they have used to treat my home. FYI they also have a green version of the treatment that they used this past week on my house because I couldn't leave out due to needing to work and I cannot smell a thing! Sidenote, one of the very best things about this business is not just the service itself but the owner. He adds a personal touch with his customers and is always extremely understanding and prompt to address any questions or concerns you may have. This company always sends a text message a day or so before to remind you of the upcoming appointment, and will work well within their ability to reschedule you if need be. I sincerely appreciate the flexibility afforded to me when I lost a loved one and was out of town a lot. They were completely empathetic and helped me reschedule. We contacted Pest Chase after discovering mice in our home office. Sundar came out the same day and identified where the mice were entering our home and came up with a plan to deal with them. The next day, a member of the crew came out and laid traps and poison inside our home and out. The day after the traps were laid, we caught a mouse and did not see one after that. Ten days after laying the traps, Sundar came back to check the traps. He let us know that there was no sign of mice in the house and that the poison trap outside had been helpful in eliminating them (we saw numerous mice coming and going outside from the trap). They will come back in three months to check and are available in the meantime. In addition to treating our mouse problem, we signed a contract for occasional pest control service as well (we got a combined discount package because we are Angie's List members). I was impressed with Sundar's professionalism, putting shoe covers on when entering our home and explaining what was happening clearly. Would not hesitate to use them again. read more

Sundar and company are great. Customer service is the best. Response time is with in a 1/2 day. He performed quarterly control at our house nothing in site. They do offer a pesticide free version and which we did inside the home and it worked. No ants, no bugs. We opted for the yearly contract. It is a little more pricier than most but well worth it. I am very pleased with the service. After William performed the treatment he called to tell me he had completed service and got all areas that I mentioned to Sundar for the pre-inspection.
