A little piece of NY right in DTO. The gentleman that runs this place is super sweet and friendly, and the gyro is made fresh daily. The salad is big enough to share, but the lamb gyro is a MUST TRY! They also have the most delicious cannolis. Parking is right out front and you won't have to wait long for service.

New York Deli subs is a cozy, homey, no frills deli that offers a small range of gyros and subs. The service was fast and friendly. While I was there I noticed everyone ordering the spinach pie, so it must be a favorite. As I waited for my order, I saw a man bring out a full tray of them and the woman at the counter mentioned they were just made by her dad. I'm planning to try one and a cannoli next time. The desserts in the case looked tasty and there were quite a few to choose from. I ordered a king gyro with chips and a drink which came out to about $14. A little pricey, but for a lunch out these days (that isn't chain fast food) that's hard to beat! It was hot and fresh, and the sauce was delicious. Although I didn't find feta cheese on my king gyro, I didn't miss it. I'll be ordering a classic gyro combo next time instead to save on cost and still enjoy a great gyro.

All went well when visiting. I ordered the Gyro. The pita, meat and toppings were fresh. I'll definitely return.

I recently tried this place today and it was surprisingly really good. I tried the veggie gyro and it was full of flavor. It's kind of like a salad mixed with pita bread and sauce . I thought it tasted pretty good and it had American cheese at the bottom which is a nice touch. I always pass by this place on my lunch breaks and thought I should check it out. The lady was really nice and the service was really good . It's a nice place to grab lunch .

I had lunch at the New York Deli on 12/6 and had never eaten here before! What a fantastic place with amazing food. I had the Italian sub with chips and drink. The sandwich was delicious with fresh ingredients and the bread was phenomenal. The owner says they have been there for 47 years! Wow, I've definitely been missing out! I'll be back again soon!

I'm sorry to this restaurant that I passed by everyday for almost 3 years and NEVER gave the time of day. It's actually so bad that I even drive thru the parking lot to a avoid traffic. I've been missing great gyros call this time. I literally looks like a regular whole in the wall, but when you hit into the flavor...POW! A burst of flavor that I didn't forget. I'm certainly coming back for sure.

This funky and quirky restaurant/sandwich shop has some good flavors going. I stopped because I wanted a cheesesteak sandwich, I thought that maybe a deli may have them, maybe, but this is a strict NY deli so no Philadelphia stuff. So, instead they offer gyro meat, so I got a gyro sandwich. It was really good, nice sauce and everything, I would have preferred better bread but it's all good. Unfortunately, NO FRIES. This is when I start to dislike anything NY related. I basically don't know a place that doesn't sell gyro sandwiches without fries. It's like a burger with ketchup but whatever NY state of mind. Again it's all good. I saw they had other gyro options, I would like to try them someday when I don't want fries with my gyro, you know. It's all good.

Sheri made a great gyro plate for me. Recommended a good Greek laugher beer, and mad a great sandwich to go for me. Neighborhood gem.

I stopped in after doing some shopping and placed my order online so it would be ready by the time I finished. I ordered the chicken club sandwich and a Dream Bar. It was after 8 p.m. on a Saturday, and the restaurant was pretty much empty. My order was ready ahead of the quoted pickup time, which I appreciated. However, the sandwich didn't quite live up to what I remember. The bread didn't taste as fresh as I expected, and the sandwich was lukewarm instead of warm and toasty like I've experienced at other locations. The Dream Bar was also not quite what I remembered. It didn't have the same richness or taste that made it a favorite for me in the past. I'm not sure if the time of day impacted the quality, but the overall experience just didn't match the Potbelly I remember from Chicago. That said, because I've had great experiences with this brand in the past, I'd be open to giving this location another try.
