Two friendly guys showed up in our allotted window (8-9 am) and got right to work. I was impressed with their efficiency and the attention to detail with our belongings. The moved took a total of two and half hours... other companies were estimating 4 hours for the same inventory list. We had a fixed rate that was $50 below the closest any other company in the area could offer and $250+ below 90% of the other estimates I got. The two movers showed up on time and did a great job of loading/unloading all my stuff in a timely fashion. While moving the stand for my television broke. The movers took a picture of the serial number of my television and ordered another stand for me at their cost. Additionally, they came back to my place to install the stand at no additional charge. Booking process couldn't have been easier. Messaged them on yelp, they answered right away with a quote of $139/hr for 3 guys with supplies and truck included. Alex and two other guys were nice, pleasant and went straight to work. Anyone who hires movers can appreciate the work they do (and that we paid someone else to do). It's not an easy job at all. So they were great and moved a 3 bedroom townhome to a 2- story single family home, disassemble and assembled 3 beds, wrapped most of our furniture and moved about 30 boxes in 4.5 hours (we moved 10 minutes away). We have a couple of really expensive TVs, so we asked about insurance and Alex explained that they would take great care of it but couldn't guarantee so we decided to take those with us, everything else they took. All I can say is WOW. Best moving experience I've had. First off - Alex was very quick to respond, and the booking process was extremely easy. On the day of the move, both Alex and my two movers called at the end of my time window (early afternoon) to let me know they'd be late. Turns out both movers had just come (to Orlando) from a move in the pouring rain in Tampa - what troopers! Once they got to my apartment, they went straight to work. I was quoted 3-4 hours to move boxes/furniture from my bedroom/office, storage, kitchen, and living room. The movers also had to disassemble and reassemble my desk, bed, couch, and dresser. I took out enough money for 5 hours just in case... they ended up taking only TWO HOURS!!! They worked through a rainstorm and made sure everything was in the right spot before they left. I used this moving company last year. After my debacle last summer I took to Yelp to begin research for my move next month because I will NEVER use this company again and was reminded I did not write a review. All seemed fine when they showed up but it became very apparent that they were taking their dear sweet time to try to rack up the hours. Nothing had to be boxed up, all that had to be done was load it into the truck and it took them forever. My roomates boyfriend had to tell them to take more multiple times and to hurry the process. When they were leaving they hit my roomates bed on the ceiling fan and damaged it. It was making an awful noise and was swinging from the ceiling. We asked them to stop the clock and fix it and said they would come back to it at the end and fix it. They brought everything into the apartment much quicker than when they were packing up. In doing so they damaged my mirror. The man told me it was already damaged and argued with me about it. He called the owner, begrudgingly gave us a discount for the broken mirror. We told them we would pay them once they went back to our first location and fixed the ceiling fan. The worker was angry and extremely mad, called the owner who I was then yelled at by. He said he would continue to run the clock if I did not pay his men right then and there or he would take away the discount for the broken mirror. I can't begin to put into words how nasty he was on the phone. We ended up paying them then, went back to original house and had the fan fixed and they left. Moving is already a stressful enough time, do not hire someone that is going to scream at you and give you ultimatums for terrible service. read more

I hired OEM to do a local move of my two bedroom apt. I was very satisfied with the service I received. They showed up on time. They did a walk through of everything they needed to move. They go to work right away. I was actually more impressed they they carried EVERYTHING by hand. No hand carts or moving equipment was used. The movers were very friendly and handled my furniture with care. The only downside was the truck they brought wasn't large enough to get everything in one trip. I was very pleased with my experience with Orlando Express Movers. They quoted one of the most competitive rates, and did not have a huge 'travel fee' like other companies had (which mattered to me because my move was only 12 minutes away). The team of 3 gave me a heads up call when they were arriving, and then worked NON STOP for the next 5 or so hours, including lugging our heavy washer and dryer up and down stairs. There was ZERO damage to our property. The only down side was that they told us they weren't insured to take our flat screen TV so we ended up driving that ourselves. Moving is the worst and very stressful. Also, finding movers you can trust is just as stressful. Did some research on Yelp and all over the internet and decided to go with Orlando Express. They we're not the cheapest I was quoted, but had the most reviews AND we're highly rated on BBB. Roman and his partner showed up on time and we're amazing. Very efficient and although I was quoted for 3 hours, they finished in 2.5. When you pay by credit card, you're charged a 5% fee (to cover what the CC company charges them), this is standard for ALL movers. They forgot to deduct my $50.00 deposit from the charge(I forgot too) and he called the office and I got an immediate refund for the deposit. If you need movers, this is the company! The two movers that were sent to help us unload a 16 foot truck were on time, polite, and finished bringing our belongings up 3 flights of stairs in under 2 hours. There is a 2 hour minimum, so we still paid the full amount quoted which we were aware of before scheduling the service. My only partial recommendation for the future is that the movers use the restroom before starting a job. Overall great service for a much lower price than the other 3 quotes we got. I've never had to do a big move before, and I'm so thankful that I bit the bullet and ordered movers to help me this time around. That being said, there were a few things that happened with Orlando Express Movers that left me a bit dissatisfied with the experience. I called two weeks in advance to make a reservation, and told them my situation--my boyfriend and I were moving in together, so two separate households would need to be moved into one. Per their request, I emailed a detailed list of all of the large items in each house, so they could decide what size of truck to use. When the movers arrived morning of (on time, thankfully), it was clear that the truck would only be able to handle one house at a time. So we had to pack up my old apartment, unload everything at the new house, then drive to my boyfriends old house, then go back to the new house to unload. I had a one-bedroom apartment, and my boyfriend had a small duplex, so it was really disappointing that we had to spend so much time (and money) driving around. As for the moving itself, the movers came prepared with extra packing material to help wrap up all of my furniture. My boyfriend and his brother helped us move, and there were many times where it was the two of them moving things up and down the stairs, while the movers stood around downstairs. Sometimes they would be packing the truck, but frequently they would just be standing around. Finally, one of the movers fell on my coffee table during the move, and broke it beyond repair. Thankfully he wasn't hurt by the altercation, but I wasn't offered any compensation other than to waive the 5% charge for using a credit card over the phone. Orlando Express Movers were priced very reasonably--$100/hour for two people's help, with an additional $100 for materials and transportation fees. It would have been a very hard move without their assistance with moving the large furniture items, but I feel that it would have gone better had they been a bit more prepared and efficient. read more

Looking out for the consumer here. I was given an estimate of $500 to move my 1 bed room, ground level apartment items into a storage unit 1 hour away. I also requested boxes for miscellaneous kitchen, bathroom and closet stuff, as well as a couple of garment boxes. I went over all of this on the phone with Alex and sent an email. Alex and another guy arrived on time. However, when I asked if they had boxes and packing paper for fragile items, he said they only bring those by request. Also, they only brought 7 boxes. Thankfully I had 4 boxes of my own. I move a lot for work, and I've never seen a moving company not bring packing paper and a variety of boxes, especially since I requested it in my email. The move went smoothly but in the end I was charged $790. This was disappointing since I was originally going to hire Two Men and a Truck who quoted me $650, and was actually recommended to me by the property manager. read more

They offered to pay back my tips and the day's worth of money. I declined because they worked hard. Called the company the guy was rude and told me they don't have electronics insurance so they take no responsibility for damaging your electronics. This is my first time hiring movers. I have a family of 6, and MIL had a few things in the house as well. That meant not straining my friendships - but coming out of the pocket for movers. I made some phone calls and got a few prices, and of all the quotes I liked Express Movers the best. $125 per hour for three movers, and $99 one time fee for incidentals and the time it takes to drive the truck from their warehouse. We scheduled a couple of days ahead of time (they have 5 crews!) and got started right at 9am on a Friday. 1. They got hot the house on time 2. They worked ceaselessly until a quarter to 8pm 3. They were gentle with the furniture. 4. They took their break while driving to the new house. 5. They were friendly. I don't really think I could have asked for a better experience. Moving is hectic, but the three guys who worked our move made the day better. They were professionals, not day laborers, and it showed in their work ethic.
