We decided to dine here before a show at Chartway Arena and we are so glad we did! Excellent quick and attentive service. There was a cool and casual vibe that we liked. & Our food was amazing! Everything from the chips & salsa to the guac to the pineapple filled with delicious meats, onions, and peppers. Also our margaritas were so good! & There is a great happy hour!! A++ All Around!!

This is my favorite Mexican Restaurant. Excellent, super friendly and fast service. Top notch food. Clean environment. Low prices.

Not worth the price of "authentic" Mexican food. See the beef nachos below. Do not recommend coming here with high expectations

A go-to spot for a quick lunch close to the Naval base. I mention that because during lunch time you'll see a decent amount of men and women in uniform - a testament to just how popular this place is! I've only ever been here for lunch and the thing that stands out to me most about this place is the top notch service. I often only have a limited time for lunch but I'm never worried about it at Oro Azteca bc I know the food will be ready quickly. The service is perfectly complemented with the food. They have amazing lunch specials at a really good price. Once you order, the food comes out almost immediately, fast enough that you haven't stopped munching on chips and salsa!

Me and my mom found this place right outside of the Norfolk Naval Exchange. We gave it a try and it was really good. The service was good and food came out really fast. We tried the fajitas, Carne Asada, and Tacos de Camaron. The place was clean and they had a lot of TVs. Definitely have been back a couple times.

Food was just ok, nothing extraordinary. Just your average Mexican food. Margaritas weren't that strong or "fresh". The service was phenomenal though! Our waitress was lovely and the manager was also very attentive and friendly! The place itself is cute and was clean.

Came here for lunch during a visit to the area and it wasn't bad. The service was good but the food wasn't the best. Idk if it was a bad day or what but I wasn't impressed to the max. The waiter was amazing and gave great service. The food was a different story. I got the chimichangas. I asked for no red sauce and asked for them to be extra crispy. Neither happened. The chimichangas came out with red sauce and wasn't crispy at all. The meat inside was kinda bland and greasy. But the side of rice was a great amount and wasn't bad in taste. If I come to the area again I would def try this place again but try a different dish. Overall it wasn't bad but a little hot sauce makes everything better!

I've eaten here twice. The first was for lunch and I ordered the enchiladas verde and sopapillas. The food came out very quick and was delicious. The enchiladas had a great flavor profile. As for the sopapillas, I would have rather had them without the cream and sprinkles and instead with just cinnamon-sugar sprinkled on. The second visit I got the burrito California. This thing was massive and it was really good. For dessert I ordered churros and they were good, but a tad overcooked. Definitely a go-to for Tex-mex in the Hampton Roads area.

The food was delicious. I got the enchiladas verde with rice and beans. This place is almost exactly like El Azteca on little creek road, even down to the menu design. The servers were very attentive and checked on us frequently. The food came out in less than 10 minutes after ordering which was awesome. For a Saturday night it was maybe 4 other parties there with me and my partner, so not too lively. I definitely would come here again.

The food was bland, heavy on fat and grease, and the only crunch was from the lettuce. We won't be returning.

The restaurant was fairly empty, with only three other tables occupied, so we were surprised by the length of the wait. Our two canned Sapporos didn't arrive until about 30 minutes after ordering. The shrimp sandwich took approximately 45 minutes, and the Vang rolls arrived after about an hour. After waiting an hour, we were informed that the garlic shrimp for our garlic noodles was unavailable, despite it being part of our original order. Unfortunately, the Vang rolls were so salty that we couldn't finish them. Throughout the meal, our water glasses were never refilled, and there was little communication about the delays or unavailable menu items. After roughly 90 minutes of waiting, multiple delays, and learning that several items were unavailable, we decided to pay for what we had received the two Sapporos, the shrimp sandwich, and the Vang rolls, which came to about $70. Perhaps we visited on an off night, but the combination of the slow service, poor communication, unavailable menu items, and disappointing food quality made for a frustrating experience. Based on this visit, I don't see myself returning. +1 Vibe +0 Taste +0 Presentation +0 Service +0 Value

It jiggled when I tapped it and the side salad tasted great with dill in it and it brightened up things. The combination of both was great. The crust on the quiche was nice as well. My spouse enjoyed their sandwich but didn't realize there was mustard so he ended up just using the chips to eat his egg and sausage. His egg was also fluffy. There's now a security table/desk where the DJ booth used to be; definitely wasted space where more tables and chairs could've been added instead. Had to stand for about 10 mins before some people finally left then we had to like "hurry" to get the seats before anyone else got them. We needed an extra chair at our table and went up to the security to ask if he knew where anymore could be or if we could borrow the one that was behind his table since he seemed to only be standing all night, but he responded kind of harsh with a stern "NO"....def unnecessary. Even though he was rude, the bartenders were the opposite, making funny light conversation and friendly while we ordered and waited for our drinks. The atmosphere was a nice, chill, and intimate vibe, with red/orange lighting. To drink: I tried the Saturn (8/10) it was pretty good, I liked the flavor, but there really didn't seem to be much alcohol in it fr. To eat: we ordered a Margherita Pizza and added Pepperoni (10/10) it was fresh, flavorful, and all around really good. There were hints of spice in the sauce that really added to the flavors. Their pizza seems to be a popular menu item as I seen pizza boxes on almost every table throughout the night. Def will be back again, but next time, we're going to get there early, so we can have a table for the night. Looked like once people secured themselves a table in here, they held it all night long and never moved / left till closing. My overall rate of experience : 7.5/10

There were quite a few people working on laptops, but it didn't feel stuffy or too quiet ... just a comfortable, low-key buzz that makes you want to stay a while. I started off with an iced americano topped with strawberry cold foam. The foam itself was a little thicker than I expected (it was more "whipped cream" than "cold foam"), but honestly, it was delicious. I'd totally order it again. The flavor combination is chef's kiss. A little sweet, a little tangy, and it adds something fun to a classic drink. For food, I went all in on the Box Car Sandwich. If you love grilled cheese, you HAVE to try this. Oozy pepperjack and cheddar, crispy bacon, tomato, avocado, all sandwiched between slices of perfect sourdough. And the special sauce on the side? I could have eaten it with a spoon. I have no idea what's in it, but I want a bottle to take home. I can't wait to come back here and give their espresso martini a try, and their pepperoni swirl pastry looked 10/10.

We enjoyed all three. In terms of food, we ordered a couple of different appetizers, including the pizza.
