Ya wanna review? Orono Dental Care has the best dentists, dental hygienists, and office team I have had the good fortune to find in my life. I was a challenging case. I had poor dental care early in life and in my 20's and 30's was a Karate competitor and later Sensei and mixed martial arts practitioner. Well, all that meant was that my teeth have taken a pounding in every way. I got a referral from a martial arts friend who happens to work in the dental field and he said that Orono Dental Care was the best in the state. Over the last four years, I received the truly competent, compassionate and comprehensive expert care I needed to face, manage and overcome a wide-range of dental related issues: Phobia (used to need gas); sinus headaches; and discolored, chipped and aging fillings and teeth that made it challenging to eat comfortably and embarrassing to smile. Orono Dental Care's integrated general and cosmetic dentistry has resulted in the best, natural looking but pearly white smile and shiny teeth I have had in my life! I never thought it was possible. Dr. Berg and his staff are wonderful! When Dr. Berg moved his clinic from Robbinsdale to Orono, my family made the switch to go with him, even though it was a much further drive for us. I have never regretted that decision! He's been providing dental care to me for over 20 years and for my children since they began recieving dental exams 14 & 15 years ago. He and his staff have always been professional and personable. The facility is top-notch, as well. And the main reason why I love having him as our dentist is because he recognized my anxiety about cleanings and other dental work the very first time I went to him. Just recently I found Orono Dental because it is near where I live. Dr. Berg and his assistants are friendly, professional and very good at what they do. At a recent visit I mentioned to Dr. Berg that I could feel a very slight difference between what he had done on one tooth and my other tooth. Amazingly he went checked the tooth he had just done and found a tiny almost imperceptible flaw in the surface. I could feel it and didn't think he would be able to do anything about it. He adeptly smoothed it out. The surfaces all feel as if there hadn't been any work done at all! An all around awesome visit! I will keep him as my dentist as long as he still practices dentistry!! I am very pleased with the services provide at the Orono Dental Clinic. Dr. Scramsted and his Dental staff are very proficient, friendly and knowledgable. I have been particularly thankful that Dr. Scramsted successfully solved an implant issue that I had. He proved to be very relentless and repeatedly full of resolve in tackling all aspects of the structural problem that presented itself. As a Dentist, he is always improving through continuous learning and teaching opportunities through the university. Dr. Berg has been our family (and extended family dentist) for over 25 years. We have followed him and his staff from his Robbinsdale clinic to the Orono clinic and wouldn't have ever considered switching dentists even if the drive was to take considerably longer to go see him. We have been with this practice since 2001. Amazing! The entire staff is friendly and very professional. I have had 4 CEREC procedures and have been extremly happy with the results. Dr. Skramstad is a very gifted Dentist! My son just had a dental emergency over the weekend, we called Dr. Skramstad, he was not available but put us in touch with one of the other Dentist in the practice. She was able to meet our son at 1000 on a busy Saturday Morning and treat him. We are so very grateful for this office! Thank you to everyone who has helped our family over the years! Friendly (though I think they probably all are today - have to be); but what I believe sets them apart from all other dentist offices - this is my first experience in a dentist office that does not push to do work that does not need to be done. Past experiences have left me quite wary of dental offices (what one office said I needed - by going to another - I needed something completely different which led me to believe that since we have insurance, they were milking it for the money) but have not felt the same here. My family, kids and husband, go to Orono Dental. I have a history with seeing Dr. Berg from when I was younger and our family followed him to his new location because we have been so happy and trust him as a dentist. The dental hygienists and staff at Orono Dental are incredible. We always feel comfortable and taken care of in a professional way. I can't believe the service and excellent dental work. I chipped my tooth today at work, and called right away to see if Dr. Skramstad could help. They couldn't promise anything without seeing it, so they fit me in this afternoon to look at it, and were able to fix it within a 1/2 hour. What a relief, would have looked pretty goofing walking around with 1/2 of a front tooth. My husband couldn't even tell I chipped it, it looks perfect. Orono Dental is absolutely the best dentist I have been to! Staff is very nice and makes you feel very comfortable. My cleaning was the gentlest I have ever had and very low stress. The front desk staff is very friendly and professional. They were missing some X-rays from my former dentist for mine and my husband's upcoming appointment and they had it handled before I even got out of the parking lot! Over the years, I have had to visit many dentists in many locations (including overseas) for treatment. This is at least partially due to bad teeth care practices early in my life. I would have to say that I rate my my treatment with Dr. Skramstad and his dental assistants has be at the very top of the list. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Berg since we moved to Orono six years ago. Today I was seen for a routine cleaning Dr. Berg noticed my cracked lip corners and nose nare cracks. I had been seen by several physicians who told me they were from snoring. Much to my chagrin, Dr. Berg diagnosed me with a yeast infection to my lips and nose. Visiting this dental office is almost like a spa visit - everyone is very attentive and thorough. They do the utmost to make you feel special and attend to your needs (as much as a dentist office can). A plus is that they share an office with an orthodontist. (if you need one). I love that when I need a new crown...it is done in a day. I don't have to have a temporary crown and go back for the permanent one at a later date. The staff is very catering to people who have a fear of all dental work and make sure that I am comfortable with what they are doing.
