Been coming here since I was a kid, and even worked here for about a year, over a decade ago. One of the last great places where you can go and browse for anything and everything electronic. Few, if any, come close. Orvac is a household name in electronics in the OC area, and has been since before my time. Even Leo Fender purchased here back in the day. I love going here for a few things when needed. But dam the employees here to chill out with the attitude. I asked one of the guys there for help and I swear he had attitude from the start. Sorry that you need a job to make money but chill. I'm sure he's herd the same question over & over already but not my problem. But the last few times i visited there were employees fallowing me around the store like im going to steal something. Overall, i get really bad vibes from the employees here. this place is amazing!!! first i will mention the selection, A+++++ it is so awesome to find a real electronics store with a real selection, everything u need, they have. second the service. A+++++ they are amazing, i have gone twice now with projects, the first, my wife and i wanted to learn about leds and wanted to create a project for an art gallery with some. Dan (the LED king) was amazing, he walked us through every step, our project turned out to be a huge success and we learned a ton, Dan rocks!! my second project, i had an old polaroid 8x10 processor. a capacitor had blown on it and i had enquired with other electricians about repairing it, all of them were at a loss and did not even want to open the unit to take a peak, saying it would be impossible to fix. Fabian (whom i now refer to as THE MAN) took a look at mine and a friends who had the exact same issue, and figured out exactly what was wrong, how it could be fixed, and fixed it without issue, it was amazing service. having orvac in town is like being in a wonderful old town with a real repair store with employees that actually care about customers and are also interested and love to help. I highly recommend this store to everyone. ill never shop anywhere else, these guys and girls are the best! read more

I needed some cables for my home printers and could not find the proper size at Best Buy. I happened to run across this place and it has everything a person could need. Think radio Shack times 10. The staff was very friendly and helped me find exactly what I needed. Next time I need any electrical supplies, I am coming here. Discovered from other Yelpers they have replacement needles for record players. They were friendly, helpful, and fast. There was a kindly elderly man working there that was very helpful.
