Thankful for smart people that have over the top technology, to help clumsy people like me!…read more It's super scary to hand your hard drive, with super private info, to someone you don't even know. But also, when you have just reformatted your computer and thought you're being all awesome, because you've backed everything up, onto an external HD, but then it falls onto the tile floor, and all it does it beep, you kinda freak out, esp when it's your business that is on that Hard Drive and you just have to trust that someone is able to fix it for you. While I was at it, I had another HD that completely let out on me, not ever dropped or anything so not sure what happened, but figured I'll drop it off as well. The one that dropped, I was pretty confident, could be saved, but the other one, not so much!!!! I was so nervous until I finally heard from them. I had tons of questions and Erik was super patient with me, which I appreciate it as well! Overall, not cheap, BUT, they were able to almost fully recover the hard drive that dropped. And, to my surprise, they were able to recover some data from the other hard drive that just gave out on me! I was able to get videos back from when my kids were babies, that I didn't even remember I had backed up, because it's been broken for so long. I have already bought more external HD's so this won't happen again!

Erik took care of the data recovery professionally, securely, and promptly. There was even an issue with the first hard drive with my files on it not being able to be read by my computer, and Erik answered my call on the weekend and personally got me a critical file right away. Then he Fed Ex'd me a new formatted drive. I recommend them very highly!

He was able to recover all the data, help me restore my photo library, and even helped when the back-up hard drive had issues. Alfonso is the real deal. I came to him with a solid state hard drive from a 2012 macbook air that…read morehad crashed. I had tried to recover the data off of it myself using a SD reader I purchased from amazon. When that failed, I paid another data recovery business in Irvine (this was not Alfonso or Cyber Electronics) about $500 for them to try recover it, and they took many many months to give me essentially 1% of what was on that drive, with many of those files being corrupt. They then told me that the drive was toast and that there was nothing more to be done and pretty much still made me pay because they supposedly put the work in already. They essentially told me my drive was useless now and could be trashed. I felt very suspicious about how this company handled my recovery, so as a hail mary I brought my same drive to Alfonso at Cyber Electronics Data Recovery. I explained to him my situation and that I wanted to see if in fact my drive was fully dead. Alfonso was very realistic, told me the probability of recovery given that solid state drives are harder to recover, and told me that he wouldn't bill me if he wasn't able to recover anything. However, given the condition of my drive, he essentially had to do all the work of a full recovery first, put in the hours without me having paid anything yet, to even see if anything could be salvaged. Over the next few days, he texted me every single day to give me an update as to what he had done, and what still needed to be done. He knew that the last data recovery company really screwed me, so he ensured that I would get a different experience. I'm happy to report that only a few days later, he called me with great news...he recovered my drive...the same drive that a yelp 5-star Irvine based data recovery company said was toast and recovered almost nothing off of. His price was the same as what I paid that other company Irvine company. After going through my recovered files, I can see that Alfonso recovered probably 95-98% of my drive...this is an amazing result for me and I am extremely pleased. Alfonso gets 5 stars in all regards. He's a genuine, kind individual and his customer service is top notch. He deserves all the praise he's gotten from all the amazing reviews you see about his business.

He came…read moreacross as very knowledgeable, passionate about his work, and genuinely focused on helping customers. Before sending my hard drive, I spent a lot of time researching the company. All I could find were positive reviews, which actually made me a little nervous because most companies have at least some negative feedback. I still wasn't sure if they were legitimate, and I was worried about whether my drive would arrive safely or if they would actually be able to recover my data. Before contacting 300DDR, I took my drive to a local computer repair shop. They had it for more than a week, and every time I followed up, I was told they would call me back. After several days, they finally contacted me, likely because I kept checking in, and unfortunately told me they could not recover the data. I then contacted another data recovery company, but they quoted me between $500 and $2,000 and would also charge an $85 diagnostic fee. I was really concerned about spending that much money without knowing whether they could recover anything. One thing I appreciated about 300DDR was that they do not charge a diagnostic fee, which gave me much more confidence in giving them a try. After doing more research, watching additional videos, and reading Reddit discussions, I still found overwhelmingly positive feedback about 300DDR. So, I decided to send them my drive. Once they received it, the process was impressive. They notified me immediately that my drive had arrived, and within 24 hours they had already evaluated it. They informed me that they could recover 74.46% of the data and explained that a head swap could potentially recover more. What I appreciated most was that any additional fee was only for the replacement parts and materials, not for labor. They also provided me with a link showing a detailed list of the files, photos, and videos they were able to recover, allowing me to make an informed decision before moving forward. Since most of my important files were included, I chose to proceed with the 74.46% recovery. Throughout the entire process, their communication was excellent. They kept me updated every step of the way and were professional, transparent, and honest about my options. Their pricing was also far more reasonable than the other companies I contacted. I can honestly say that all of the positive reviews I read were accurate. 300DDR exceeded my expectations, and I am incredibly grateful for everything they did. My hard drive contained priceless memories dating back to 2013, including videos of my children, wedding memories, family photos, and other important files. I had almost given up hope of ever seeing them again. No words can truly express how thankful I am to the entire team at 300DDR for helping me recover data that I thought was lost forever. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of data recovery services. One final piece of advice: if you decide to use 300DDR, make sure you are on the correct website. My husband searched for them and found several different websites, which caused some confusion. Take a moment to verify that you are visiting the official 300DDR website before sending your hard drive. Thank you, 300DDR, for giving me back memories that I thought were gone forever

Can I give them six stars?…read more After a wild boot loop saga began on my phone, I was worried a lot of my data I had amassed would be lost forever. I wasn't sure where to look, and out of the blue, I decided to do some googling and came across this country with, needless to say, a very appealing name! After looking into it, I saw a couple of fantastic things that were green flags immediately: 1. The reviews were glowing (and here's another one - and I never write anything). People seemed to love the company's mission, and I even read that the founder (more in a sec!) created the company just for that reason: he didn't feel people should pay an outrageous amount of money to get their data back. 2. Brian himself. What a guy. He was active on a bunch of forums, and you could tell he put together a small, dedicated team who really valued that people trusted them with their services. And Brian and his team saw me through a bunch of the chaos, answering a bunch of my questions, putting me at ease, and then - through the wonders of the US postal service - procured all of my data again. (I'm backing it up right now - and if you're reading this right now, back up your data too!!) So, yeah. This company is about as legit as it comes, and if you're looking for data recovery in any capacity, you've found the pinnacle in compassionate professionalism right here. Keep on keeping on, team! You're rocking it.

Terrible customer service, poor communication, and a complete waste of my time…read more I dropped off my Lenovo laptop on August 19, 2026 to have the hinge repaired. My receipt says "Tomorrow" for pickup, meaning I was told it would be ready on August 20. I couldn't make it on the 20th, so I came on August 21, giving him an extra day. When I handed Nick my receipt, he started scrambling around looking for my laptop and then asked me to give him another 10-15 minutes to fix it. Clearly, the laptop was not ready as promised. He also could not find my charging cord at first and had to look around multiple times before locating it. When he put the laptop back together, it was poorly assembled with visible gaps and open spaces. Nick told me it still needed to be glued and asked me to come back AGAIN later that day. I told him I live far away and could not keep making trips back and forth. Nick then gave me another option: he said he would finish the laptop and personally leave it with the tailor lady in the store so I could pick it up from her. He was very specific about this arrangement and even clearly told me that the tailor lady only accepts cash or Zelle and does not accept cards. Based on how detailed his instructions were, I had every reason to believe my laptop would actually be left with her as promised. I came back on August 22 specifically to pick up my laptop from the tailor lady. She told me Nick never gave her my laptop. So now I have made multiple unnecessary trips, spent time and gas driving back and forth, followed Nick's exact pickup instructions, and I STILL do not have my laptop. I was told I now have to come back AGAIN on Monday when Nick returns. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Nick has repeatedly told me something would be done and then failed to follow through. What should have been a simple hinge repair has turned into a poorly assembled laptop, a temporarily misplaced charging cord, multiple wasted trips, and repeated promises that were not kept. I will update this review after Monday to document whether my laptop is finally repaired properly and returned to me. Update 8/25/26: I was finally able to pick up my laptop today. Nick called me Monday to let me know it was ready and apologized for everything that happened. When I picked it up, Nick also acknowledged that a piece near the hinge had been lost during the repair, so unfortunately my laptop was returned with that piece missing. He gave me a discount because of the missing piece and all of the miscommunication. I do appreciate that Nick took responsibility, apologized, and adjusted the price. However, I'm still disappointed that after everything I went through to get the hinge repaired, I received my laptop back with one of its original pieces missing. The discount was appreciated, but I would have preferred to have my laptop returned complete and not have gone through so many unnecessary trips and delays in the first place.
