The sushi was ok but the other two dishes we had were not quite what we were used to. We're from Chicago and the Japanese restaurants there are outstanding. They didn't know what togarashi was. The atmosphere was ok. My husband said it was ok for where it is located. read more

The food is so delicious but the service is the absolutely worst. It's like every server there has an attitude and doesn't want to be there. Went there for my birthday, they over charged 3 of the bills and when asked to take it off the server looked at my friend and said "I'm not here to kiss your a** or suck your di**" one of the owners was standing right there and they all refused to remove the extra drinks. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Found a large dangling earring in our salad and upon informing the staff of the incident, the answer we received was "that's weird no one wears earrings here" OBVIOUSLY that is not true. We would have appreciated a more genuine reply that showed concern for the situation instead of the dismissive service we received. Poor hospitality all around. This unsanitary should have been recognized before it even reached the table, not sure how a large earring as a salad topping goes unnoticed. NEVER go to this location, the Davenport one is within 10 minutes and WAY more professional and much much cleaner. read more

Food was alright, but when dealing with the workers is when I had a problem. I'm out here on business and did not receive a receipt after I asked to be sure to get one. Called the next day to see if there was any way of getting it reprinted. Spoke for a couple minutes to somone claiming to be a "manager" when I have a feeling she was the hostest. She said she didn't know of any way to help me so I asked if there was someone higher up in the building who might me able to help me, she refused to answer my question and only replied with "why". After I asked a couple more times she says "Oh my god! he crazy! He crazy you help him!" And hands the phone off to somone else. This is beyond rude and disrespectful. The second woman was much better, she explained why they couldnt help throughly. After this situation I will not be eating there again. read more

Osaka has good sushi and wide selection including other foods! The staff are very attentive.

The main reason we went was to bring three little ones to their first experience at a Japanese Steak House. The food was OK, service was less than stellar and the delivery of our food was just awkward. (Who brings bowls of french fries 40 minutes before the meal is served???) There weren't even any bowls of various sauces introduced, just the food. The staff was cold, indifferent, especially the hostess who seemed to just be in a bad mood. However, the kids LOVED the interaction with the chef, who was awesome at entertaining and engaging them. His had a myriad of props to use and the kids fell for it all, laughing hysterically. For them, it was an amazing experience and I am sure they will talk about it for years. The more jaded adults weren't as impressed, but very happy for the attention to the kids. The price was reasonable and they had the normal items, and the sushi was good. Miso soup was really watered down and the wasabe was so dried out it was crunchy. Yes, crunchy, like it had been sitting there for quite a few days. Everything felt like they were in dire straits financially, burnt out and just lost their focus on customer interactions. They should shut this place down. Parking lot with pot holes, sign is cracked and faded (barely readable). Me and my hubby were the only ones in there for lunch, whole place was empty. We were greeted by two staff members cuddling on the waiting area couch. Waitress was shouting in the kitchen after we ordered. I saw a chef sleeping near the bathrooms on a bench after dinner. Bathrooms with piss on the floor, smelled like hell. My toilet didn't work. The miso was awful and cold. No wonder the place was empty! 2 years ago this place was nice and now it's in shambles. Super sketchy place to be in general. Compared to the clean Osaka in Davenport, this place is just not anything like how is should be. Our plates had old food stuck to it, wait staff was making out basically right in front of us, they would go out and smoke cigarettes, and the food in general tastes bitter and disgusting. It's disappointing going from the Davenport Osaka food to the moline Osaka food. One of our chefs stabbed himself accidentally and was bleeding, we felt bad but it was just a sketchy situation. Went to the Moline Osaka's for my daughters 18th birthday. Had 16 people in our group. We had 1 chef using 2 grills. Food was over cooked & basically no show. Very disappointing for what it cost. We brought family that had never been before. We usually go to the one in Davenport but choose the Moline one because, closer for family to drive. read more

Came in for a weekday lunch. Let me start with something positive; my server was very attentive, very nice, and made sure I was taken care of. But that's about the only good thing about Osaka. I wasn't greeted by the hostess, she merely asked how many and then directed me to the sushi bar. The sushi chefs were no better, as they practically pretended I wasn't even there. I don't expect them to act like a long lost friend, but a simple "Hello" wouldn't kill them. It didn't get much better. The california roll was practically hot when it came to me, and the sashimi lunch came with only 7 pieces when the menu said it would come with 9. The fish was the same quality as it is pretty much everywhere else in the Quad Cities. The hibachi side isn't much better. Take away the show and you pretty much just have so-so stir fry that's absolutely DROWNED in butter, so much so that it was all I could taste. You couldn't even tell it was seafood, it just tasted like buttered rice. It was definitely overpriced considering the quality. The hostess wasn't very friendly either. When I paid the bill she didn't ask how the food was nor did she offer a thank you when I left. The whole time I basically felt like I was a huge inconvenience. From start to finish a big fat disappointment. Run down building and decor, flickering lights, broken TV's and rancid food and a bathroom that smells like dirty fish tank water. To begin, the hostess took us to a dirty table, and we stood there as she wiped it off. The table never dried - it was sticky the entire meal. The lights flickered the entire time we were there -to the point that I had to look down because it was giving me a headache. The waitress was very friendly, but left us for long periods of time. When she came back at the end of the meal to give us our check the smoke smell was overwhelming, which solved the "where did our waitress go riddle". But let's get to the meal. My husband and I ordered Filet Hibachi. Mine was rancid, my husband said his was "aged well". The sauce they brought for the steak, (not the mustard one) tasted like seafood smells. I literally gagged. My meal was done after that. I didn't eat more than a few bites. I ended up an upset stomach for the next 48 hours. I had to use the restroom and it smells like a moldy fish tank, leading me to believe that there is a water issue in the walls. For the pleasure of all of this, we paid. 100.00 or so. For 4 meals. read more
