We went to Ramen Alley yesterday after reading the good reviews about it. Was not disappointed. First of all it is located in an actual alley. It's a very private entrance, which was nice. We were greeted when we entered the restaurant. We looked at the menus, which are located at the front, where you order and pay before you get your food. We ordered and paid, then went to find a table (you can sit where ever you want). There are high tables with stools at the front of the restaurant and tables in the back. We opted for a table. Our food was brought to us fairly quickly. I would say that the ramen seemed authentic and it was delicious. The place was also quiet, which was nice. Overall a great place. I highly recommend Ramen Alley.

10/10 would recommend. I couldn't decribe the food in any way other than quality. The Raman here has the perfect umami flavor that you can taste the care it was made with in every bowl. The service is fast which is crazy because you can see them delicately place and prepare each bowl as you wait. And I've yet to visit and see the staff without a friendly disposition accompanied with a genuine smile on their face. This food is something to take pride in. The atmosphere is perfect. This "hidden" gem is a perfect example of what a good AUTHENTIC ramen place should be. Although it's not a secret place, because of its location it sure feels like it! Because of that, this would be a great place for a first date if you'd like to make an affordable but cool first impression. Equally this is a great place to host a lunch business meeting. Seems to be a steady business and I am sure there are times where you have to wait, but they have many tables and seats at a large counter. I've never had to wait to sit. I travel for a living and I have eaten at ramen places in Chicago, Tampa, Orlando, Ocala, Buffalo, San Francisco, Anaheim, Indianapolis, Nashville, Knoxville, and Atlanta. There has only been one place in the nation I like better and only because of the unique noodles they make. Even then the difference is very minuscule. However the broth at Ramen Alley is second to none. And if you know ramen, you know that's the star of the dish. To the restaurant- congratulations on making an epic full package ramen experience. Oh and they serve beer and saki ;)

We were driving through the area on the tail end of our road trip. After watching the first couple of episodes the prior night of Squid Games Season 2... probably made me a little bit nervous to be going down a strange alleyway to find a restaurant :) However 'finding' this place in the alleyway really adds to the charm. The restaurant itself is very nice and modern on the inside. The price for ramen is around $14 / bowl and it's a decent size. We came during the lunch time so you get a couple pieces of gyoza with it. The gyoza was really tasty. We all ordered the spicy miso ramen and it was absolutely delicious. The order came out relatively quickly and the service was very friendly. It was definitely a find, would recommend and would stop by again if in the area!

This is such a cute restaurant Down the Literal alley. I am vegan and appreciated the vegan options on the menu which were delicious. I just had to order them without egg. The staff was very knowledgeable about what vegan means so they told me they could not put mushrooms in the ramen since they Cook them in pork fat. So that was disappointing but they did bring me some tofu. Street parking could be hard to find but we had no issues on a Thursday in February.

What a fun find! As we were shopping downtown we saw the sign and so of course went down the alley to check it out. The interior is clean, inviting and attractively decorated. The menu has a nice variety of rice bowls and ramen. We split a bowl of spicy miso ramen with a few gyoza. All the food waa delicious and had tons of flavor. We will definitely come back next time we are in town. It's the perfect way to warm up on a cold day!!

What a great find in Columbus! Ramen Alley is literally tucked away down an alley and a little hard to find, but I kind of love that because it makes you feel like you are going to a top secret spot! I was there for lunch and they had a special where you could get a bowl of ramen and two gyoza dumplings for around $15. I decided on the spicy pork miso and the pork dumplings. My food was absolutely delicious- very rich in flavor and comforting. I personally didn't think it was overly spicy, so I could have gone up a heat level with mine. Lots of options on the menu including rice bowls too and wonderful service - definitely stop in if you are in the area.

Ramen Alley is truly a gem in this community. It's tucked away in an alley in downtown Columbus Indiana. It's surprisingly spacious inside and very inviting. Once we ordered our food with the cashier, we were able to find a table easily and food arrived fairly quickly. We ordered shoyu ramen, spicy miso ramen, and a kids meal, which comes with a smaller bowl of ramen of your choice and 2 gyoza. Our kiddo ended up ordering spicy miso, which was delicious and SPICY (he loves spicy food). He also ordered a bottle of ramune, which is a Japanese soda that comes in awesome flavors (he had a strawberry ramune) and in a cool glass bottle with a marble inside. He also ordered a mochi ice cream in matcha green tea flavor for dessert. And he accidentally dropped the mochi onto the floor! He was of course devastated but the moment we picked it up off the floor, they kindly brought him a new one. He was blown away and so grateful :) Overall, Ramen Alley is truly a must and worth the trip. Bring kids for a lovely lunch! It's so fun and everything, and we mean EVERYTHING on the menu is just superb.

Hidden gem of Columbus. Great food and atmosphere. Literally in an alley but in a perfect spot downtown. Must try if your in the mood for authentic noodles and Chinese cuisine or Japanese food.

Visited Ramen Alley while in town for the day. So glad we decided to stop. We ordered gyoza , spicy miso and tonkotsu. The gyoza was fresh out of the pan and had tons of flavor. Ramen bowls spicy miso and tonkotsu were so flavorful. The broth was rich and the spicy miso had just the right amount of spice. Would absolutely return next time we're in the area.

My husband and I went here after a local basketball game. It was a little hard to find but it was worth the hunt. I had the gluten free noodles with a veggie ramen bowl and I added pork belly. Oh my goodness. It was delicious. Absolutely delicious. Nothing was overpowering and yet the flavors combined to make a great dish. My husband had the pork dumplings. Ask them to add some of their special ginger sauce to the soy sauce. My husband had the special (I can't remember the name) but he was quite satisfied. The pottery was even cool. A quick peak at the bottom revealed they purchase locally. Pretty sweet. The employees were so kind and totally engaging. We will DEFINITELY be back. If I lived closer, it would be tomorrow and the next day and the next....but I don't so it will be a special treat for the best visit to Columbus.

My first ramen experience and it was fabulous. The food was quick and delicious, and the owner was awesome. He explained everything to us, brought chopstick helpers for the kids, and gave them extra noodles.

Had a very good experience here! The staff was friendly, service was very fast, the prices are reasonable, and the food was quite good. I had the shoyu ramen with extra pork belly. The flavors were good; the nori was more strongly scented than I remember from other places. They have plenty of seating, including a long bar running around the perimeter of the main dining area. Good for groups or for people coming in on their own for a quick lunch.

SO good. I would stand in line in Boston or NYC for an hour in the cold to get this ramen. Tonkotsu ramen and gyoza are amazing.

The place is really cozy, I decided to eat outside on the patio as it sprinkled. They also sell some snacks and frozen goods you would find at an Asian grocer. Firstly, the prices here are amazing. I spent a little under $20 dollars and I got a large bowl of Jjam-Ppong Ramen and Bugolgi Kimbap. It also came with a side of Kimchi and Macaroni Salad. The food came out relatively quick despite there being maybe one staff member there at the time. The Jjam-Ppong Ramen was great! The noodles had the perfect amount of chew and there was a decent amount of seafood in the dish considering it was only about $9. It was also the perfect amount of spice, I think even those who don't like spicy food could manage with this one. The Kimbap was also really good and had refreshing flavor with the pickles and veggies. The cheese was a nice addition. Overall I totally recommend this place. The quality for the price is amazing here, and the atmosphere is cute as well. One of my favorites in Bloomington.

Both of us landed on 1/5. Here's what we ordered: the Mega Bowl Ramen (Chashu & Shrimp) combo with Thai Tea and a Pork Bun, the Fried Squid Tentacle, and the Pork Belly Kamameshi. The ramen was salty and just didn't taste good, which was a real letdown given the crowd. The noodles came out firmer than what we're used to at places in Texas and Japan, and the chashu was the single best part of the whole bowl. The Thai Tea was a complete miss--it looked good but was overwhelmingly milky, like 85% milk, which isn't what Thai tea typically tastes like. The Pork Bun was drowning in sauce and overwhelming to eat. The Fried Squid Tentacle was the highlight of the meal, though it's comparable to what you'd find elsewhere. The Pork Belly Kamameshi was the worst item by far with a tiny amount of rice with a huge amount of sauce piled on top. We got through only about a fifth of the pan because it was too intense and far too little rice. To be fair, this spot gets a lot of love online for its broth and its novelty robot server (can be found in a lot of Japanese restaurants) so tastes clearly vary. But for the two of us, the meal was salty, oversauced, and unbalanced, and we wouldn't come back. 1/5.
