I rarely waste my time giving reviews let alone giving 5-star reviews, but I think you need to know about an honest owner/shop in extinction. I visited first with two well known franchise shops who gave me a quote of $600+ to "repaint" the scratches in the rear bumper, no cracks/dents at all. They mentioned they had to dismount/mount it back, lead time 3 days. Verbatim they almost said the same, as if they had been trained by the same person (hum?). Bear in mind they were just scratches and right away you know they just wanted to rip you off. They never offered me any other less expensive option. I still had a 3rd and last shop to visit in my list, Oscar's. Ramin's 1st option [ w/out me asking, but waiting though as a way of testing people ] was to just do a detailing job ($130) by ordering a kit. It was done in 4 hours, and I had to rent a car for the day ($30). My total bill was $160. This means I saved $440 or 275%. It paid off shopping around, Yelping and finding Ramin's Oscar Auto Body. Fantastic experience with Ramin and Oscar Auto body. Submitted a photo and description of the damage of my bumper on their website and got a response and quote within the hour. Quotes from other body shops said the bumper would need to be replaced and it would cost around $500--even without painting the new bumper. Ramin offered to do the necessary repairs without replacing the bumper and beat the other quotes by more than half . He got the car in the next day, finished it in a few hours, met the quote on the dime and did excellent work. All around great experience. read more

Yes! Yes! Yes! Oscar Auto Body is the ONLY place that I would trust to work on my car. My son and I first met these folks a half dozen or more years ago. They repaired my son's car to perfection and were very reasonable. I went to them this past Fall, and again, the work they did was top notch. The people who work at this shop are honest and friendly; there's no leading-on or offering of unnecessary fixes--just honest conversations about what is needed and how best to approach all repairs. Truly goes above and beyond! Ramin took his time and presented all the options I had with fixing up my car. He was a great communicator and was very interested in getting my feedback and approval with how my car was to be repaired. When he finished it, he then sent me a text with pictures of the repair, and asked how I thought it looked. Again, fantastic communicator and speedy service. I had never used a body shop on my own but have been to one that my insurance covered and I had no choice of location. I was a bit nervous about using Oscars because they didn't have any negative reviews. In the end I wanted to support a local shop so I chose them. I have NO REGRET. They explained everything in detail, offered a few options for a solution, sent me pics since I was out of town, and were able to complete the work within the estimated time frame. I feel good about the transaction and recommend them highly. Though I hope to not need their service again, if I am that unfortunate I will definitely go back to Oscars without a second thought. read more

Ramin is easily one of the nicest businessmen I've worked with. I had an issue with deep scratches and damage that was going to be covered by insurance. I contacted Oscar's through their online estimate service and received a response within a very short period of time. We proceeded to follow up on Email and phone and Ramin always responded incredibly quickly. He was incredibly helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure the situation was as simple as possible. The estimate was completed quickly and was more than fair. While reading reviews to chose where to take my car for auto body work after an accident, I chose Oscar Auto Body based on the amazing reviews. I must admit I was skeptical of a business with so many great reviews and also a little nervous about the area but I was rewarded by my choice. Ramin is the owner whom you work directly with and his customer service is what we all complain that we can never find. I was stressed and from the start he made it as easy as possible. He had me take photos of the damage and email it to him so he could make an estimate. He worked directly with my insurance company which took the work out of it for me. He asked me what I wanted, cheap as possible or looking perfect. I appreciated that he has the insight to ask that, as one person may have a different goal than another. He worked with my schedule and kept me updated on progress. He worked with me to arrange an after hours drop off to make it easier for me. I needed an additional part later and he quickly put it in for my on a saturday morning. In addition he was kind and warm yet very professional. And the area was perfectly fine, near eat street. I don't usually gush on reviews but this company was fantastic. They made my car accident the easiest most pleasant experience to deal with. read more

Ramin is fantastic. I took in a 11 year old car that I wanted to spend significant money on repairing. Ramin spent time listening to my requests and looking at the car in detail with me. In the end, he convinced me to only do about 30% of what I originally intended on doing. Ramin helped me realize that some of what was bothering me would go unnoticed by anyone else. He actually suggested I not do any of the work at all, not because he didn't want my business, but he felt that it might not be the wisest use of money. This indicated to me that he was honest and caring, seeing me as a fellow human and not just looking at me as representing a paycheck for him. In the end I opted to get one major element repaired, and skipped the rest based on Ramin's suggestion. The work was done very well, and in a timely manner. I would gladly recommend this place to others. They are honest, do good work, and priced very fair. If I need future repairs, they will be the first place I call. read more

I am so thankful I went to Oscar Auto Body after my recent accident. I am not from Minneapolis and had never dealt with getting a car repaired after an accident, so I had no idea how to choose a place. As a woman, I was also worried about not being taken seriously or being taken advantage of. Ramin, the main guy at Oscar's, is a great guy and incredibly serious, kind and considerate of my needs and concerns. He really went above and beyond and helped me deal with my insurance agency, which usually does not have one's best interest at heart when you've been in an accident- they just want you to do what is cheapest and easiest for them. Ramin managed them and made sure my rights as a car owner were respected. I ended up saving a lot of of money. Getting in an accident in the snow is already stressful. Ramin made sure it wasn't any worse than it had to be. He's great at customer service and I trust him completely! read more
