Oscar Delta is our favorite place to eat in Forney especially for breakfast but this morning it was rough. When I walked up to order it took forever for someone to help me because they were looking at each other trying to decide who was going to take my order. Then when they finally started making my breakfast tacos they were just throwing the ingredients on the tortilla, it was the messiest taco and I needed a fork to eat. We also ordered a pancake and it was cold and burnt. My husband wanted to to order a chicken taco and it was 10:26 but they told him he would have to come back through the line at 10:30 when breakfast was over lol No one said, hello, bye or even smile. The food is good but the employees were not just unfriendly but extremely unprofessional. After listening to the woman in front of us ask for the manager due to her ticket charging more than what the menu prices. I then was almost being ignored by the people taking my order attempting to gossip with one another about what had just happened. We ordered fish tacos to go where the guy told us it would be 5 minutes, after waiting 15 minutes I approached the front asking what was going on they Realized our food had just been sitting there. Oscar Delta, do your customers a courtesy and remove biscuits and gravy off the menu so they don't have to wait to get up front to talk to a girl with an attitude and find out it's not available. The manager talked like he didn't have the access to remove it off the menu screen. 3 stars I'm sure it could get a higher score but I have my reasons. First time trying the place out. I called my order in, wasn't expecting to wait even longer to get my food even tho it was waiting on me. Cashier needs to work more efficient or they need more help specifically during lunch. The interior and service could use a tune up... but on occasion you'll get a staff member that doesn't have a less than kind attitude. Cost $37 for two of us to eat and it took 25 minutes for a burger and fries to get out. Once the food was out it sat at the window for another 10 minutes because the workers weren't paying attention. I was optimistic based the reviews but we were sorely disappointed. The lady at the register was not particularly friendly and I felt like she was rushing us to order. My wife had beef tacos and a chicken taco, nothing special in either case. My grand daughter had the chicken tenders and they were over cooked. I ordered the chicken taquitos which really looked unappetizing as presented. They were sliced open so you could see the filling which was some chicken chunk, cheese paste. They didn't taste bad but they are more of an appetizer than an entree, especially considering the lack of chicken. The beans and rice that accompanied the taquitos were bland. The bright spots were the guacamole and the salsa. Obviously there is more on the menu but we don't plan on returning. read more

Was pleasantly surprised by a last minute decision while driving through. A few knocks on the place but overall I would definitely eat there again. Chicken Fried Steak - a staple I often order to judge one place against another. First, it was very large. This doesn't mean it's any more or less steak sometimes, it just means they took the time to run it through the tenderizer more which flattens it out larger - but also makes it far more tender. It also makes more room for breading to meat - so it some ways it may not be good. A jalapeno gravy. Not too hot to take away from the dish, but just enough kick. Served nice and hot. $10. Just about everything on the menu has a little kick of some type added to it. No I can't say it's the best ever but for the price it was excellent. The uggg parts... (constructive criticism for a good place to get even better)... Wanted a Bacon Brisket Burger but they were out of bacon. This wasn't too good, I've seen managers head over to the local market a few minutes away and grab a few packs. There's not really a good excuse to be out of bacon. Had a little mixup on the order, they made it right but kinda tried to make it seem like it was my fault. The burgers and sandwiches come with fries. There's nothing anywhere on the menu or signage that states this. It would have been nice to have known at order time and it would make the value proposition seem better. It's paper plate, plastic fork, cafeteria style. This isn't bad, but just stating it. I laugh when people knock it on a review for those reasons. It's like, what did you expect or did you do any research? It's like going to Whataburger and complaining the food comes in paper on a tray. I'm not a big Tex mex person but this place is pretty good. I ordered the OMG wrap with chicken and it was a pretty big portion. It wasn't just a wrap cut in half. It was more like 2 big wraps cut in pieces. Also, their chips are really good too with the salsa. The (grilled?) avocado with steak was pretty good as well. Everything was clean and service was good. I wouldn't mind coming back if I ever do crave Tex mex. read more

Food was great. I had the chop brisket bacon cheddar burger. One of the best burgers I've had recently. Tried the grilled avocado, which my wife ordered, and loved that as well. Would have given it four stars, but as a parent of a toddler, I had to knock one off. No changing table in the women's or men's restroom. Went in to eat diner there for the 6-7th time with my GF. I got the burger and it was awesome as usual. My GF got the OMG. Its a chicken quesadilla type plate. Has cheese, avocado, grilled chicken, and a couple other things in it. It was very good and after I tasted it I wish I would have ordered it! I dont know why people have complained about the service here. There is no service. You order your food at the front of the restaurant then go get your own drink and sit down. You even throw away your own food. There is no tipping involved for service. They do have food runners who bring your plates out after they are cooked. And I do not work there. Im just a guy who appreciates a good restaurant in my home town of Forney. We desperately need more restaurants out here and Im happy to have oscar delta in the neighborhood!
