Took my family to Oscar's for dinner. The restaurant is very clean, the staff is friendly and they have a large menu. Food came out quickly and everything was delicious! The portions were large and the salsas (hot and mild) were very good. We were very pleased and we will be back. read more

So we ordered online, first time at this restaurant and excited because it's new, and well sadly disappointed so far.. We ordered at 525 (btw 5 basic items) and got an email saying it would be ready at 558 so here we are at 615 and was told that they have no idea when our food would be ready?! We went into the restaurant to pick up and under Covid restrictions it should be very minimal but there is around 30 to 40 people crammed in the lobby, shoulder to shoulder. There are 3 people working here and they are swapped with many customers in the lobby ordering and people waiting for pickup, so it seems like the ownership dropped the ball on staffing. We tried this place for the first time on Cinco de Mayo. I guess everyone else wanted their tacos that day too. The wait was really long but definitely worth it!! These tacos are legit! We were new to this side of town. Once we found this place, we became regulars! The food is consistently good, the prices are right, and we have always received true customer service with a smile and great attitudes - which if you've been many places since 2020, you know is HARD TO COME BY. I've been a handful of times now and have ordered several things off the menu. The first time I called in a ordered a bean burrito no chz in it and wanted it enchilada style with red sauce and he then asked if I wanted chz sprinkled on top and i exactly did! Like he read my mind cause I was a little too embarrassed to asked, I told him that and he said 'alway get whatchu want'. Loved that! Double check and triple check your pick up orders before leaving. This place will have you use an app to order pick up. What's listed on this app for their menu does not match what's on their restaurant menu. For example, the app will say bean burritos will come with pinto beans and cheese. It will only come with bean and no cheese. I ordered 3 bean/cheese burritos and 3 sides to come with a cheese quesadilla, none of these sides I paid for came with the quesadilla. I called the shop and had a unhelpful surly cashier take my complaint. She stated I would have to go through the app to get my refund, so instead of choosing this option, I requested they make my orders again and they did. Except the cheese quesadilla had all the sides smothered into the quesadilla instead of it being just on the side. There was so much sour cream inside the quesadilla that it was not edible. I gave up on trying to get this simple order fixed and decided to just throw the whole thing away when I got home. I also asked if I could get the tip back - again I was told to call the chow app used to get that. Cashier said the taco shop does not get the tip, just the app. Not sure if this is accurate but I will call the app company and find out. So after two trips, bad customer service, and a simple quesadilla order that was still not fixed, I rate this place 2 stars. We went to Oscar's Taco shop this evening. The burritos were overpriced ($24 for 3 items) for the size & fillings. You get more tortilla than actual filling. We tried the surf & turf burrito which does contain shrimp, we ended up only having 3 shrimp in the entire burrito. Arizona burrito as well had more tortilla than filling. Steak was very overcooked and didn't have much of a seasoned taste to it. The green mild salsa came in a very tiny container which had about 1 ounce of a salsa with no flavor & a consistency of jello. We also had a hard shell shredded beef taco which contained, beef, lettuce, tomato & shredded cheese. It was decent but the tortilla was very thin so as soon as you take your first bite it breaks into multiple pieces. The appearance of the place we're pleasing to the eye & was very clean. Overall We don't see ourselves eating here again. If we could give 2.5 stars we would. read more

Went there for the first time on 8/18/20. Food was good, cashier was not friendly. No limits on how many customers could enter/no tables blocked off. It took one full hour for staff to disinfect tables (which turned over at least twice in that time). Almost like the owners weren't aware of COVID at all. Not a safe environment if you're trying to keep healthy but it did seem like they had a bunch of regulars there. read more

I went to the Surprise AZ location with my Dad and was pleasantly surprised. Good food for the value! I was delighted to find that there was also a Glendale AZ location. I went to the Glendale location this week and found the food still good, however when I looked at my receipt later I discovered a 6% service fee in addition to the tip I already added. This was disturbing....no mention of it at all. I would recommend paying cash at this location or try one of the other locations instead. read more

I placed an order for take-out. I was told my order would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes of placing the call. I placed the order at 6:39 PM. When I arrived at 6:55 PM, the food was not ready. I watched several people walk in place orders and get their food before me. I watched 7 orders got out the door before my order was ready The food was finally done at 7:20 PM. The cooks forgot to make the chicken tacos. The rest of the order sat their, getting cold, while I waited for the chicken tacos to be made that was supposed to go with the food. The queso was cold by the time tacos were finally made. There were not enough chips. Everything was cold except the chicken tacos. This is my first time visiting this Oscars Location, Nolensville Road, Tennessee. I will think twice before visiting this location again.
