Dear Management, I…read moream writing to share my family's experience during our Father's Day visit to your restaurant. Unfortunately, what should have been a special celebration turned into a very disappointing experience due to the service we received upon arrival. We had a reservation for 4:00 p.m. When we arrived, the gentleman at the host stand was not welcoming or friendly. He simply told us to "step to the side" and that someone would assist us in a few minutes. As the minutes passed, we continued to wait without any communication. During that time, a white family of five walked in without a reservation and was seated immediately. At that point, I approached the host stand to ask what had happened and why we had not been seated despite having a reservation. The host searched for our reservation, asked what time it was scheduled for, and then casually stated, "I think someone stole your table." I was shocked by this response. I asked how that could happen if he was responsible for managing the seating. He had no explanation and, more importantly, never offered an apology for the mistake or the inconvenience. A manager later came over and asked what had happened. After I explained the situation, he appeared genuinely surprised and concerned by what had occurred. Once we were finally seated, our server acknowledged the delay and kindly offered us an appetizer because of the long wait at the front. We appreciated that gesture, but it did not change how unwelcome we had been made to feel upon arrival. I am writing this letter not because I am looking for compensation or anything in return. My purpose is simply to ensure that no other family has a similar experience, especially on a day meant to celebrate loved ones. Every guest deserves to be treated with fairness, courtesy, and respect. A sincere apology from the host at the time of the incident would have gone a long way. I hope you will use this feedback as an opportunity to coach your front-of-house staff on the importance of customer service, communication, and accountability. Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns. Sincerely, Ms. Deas

Portions are large, so we generally take half home for dinner the next day. The apple pie is close to homemade and their ice creams - churned in house - are outstanding. The waiters are always friendly, especially Carmen who, when asked how the salmon was made returned with the Founding Farmers cookbook opened to the correct page. Service is prompt and prices fair. The food came out quickly and was great, very consistent with other Founding Farmers experiences. One thing I always appreciate about Founding Farmers is their commitment to using quality ingredients. You can taste the difference, and even the simple breakfast dishes feel elevated without being overly complicated. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between rustic and modern, making it a comfortable place whether you're meeting friends for brunch or celebrating a special occasion. Despite how busy it was, our server kept our drinks topped off and checked in regularly without making us feel rushed. Overall, Founding Farmers MoCo delivered another great brunch experience. Between the quality of the food, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, it's easy to see why it's such a popular spot. I'll definitely be back to continue working my way through the menu.

It's gorgeous and huge with large umbrellas at each table to keep out the direct sun. Hasina (manager) actually waited on us and she was wonderful as well. I got the Lobster Salad with the citrus vinaigrette dressing - it was the best lobster salad. My Mom had the Lobster Roll that came with house made potato chips and I tasted both and they were both wonderful. For dessert we split the chocolate mousse cake and it was the best we have ever had and came with a toffee crunch crust on one side. The ambiance was perfect, all the waitstaff (and there are plenty) were super attentive and so pleasant. The food was spectacular. We will be back in the fall when they change to their fall/winter menu and decorate the patio with pumpkins and turn the water fountain into a fire pit!

We were looking for a quiet setting without too much disruption and nice ambience plus good food. Unfortunately this place missed on all attempts I really love the outdoor seating arrangements with the fire pits lights and parking space I think this is a great place to grab a drink and chit chat in the summer but aside from this I wouldn't be in a hurry to come back I ended up coming for dinner and it's very small on the inside with no more than 10 tables. We sat at a small table near the bar because that is one of the seats they had available. Their menu is not very expansive Here's what we ended up getting in an attempt to try a few different things The mushroom risotto was tasty The ribeye steak was horrible. I asked for it to be cooked medium and it was pretty bloody and rare. My friend doesn't mind it and I don't send back food so I couldn't eat it at all but honestly seeing something that bloody grossed me out totally. They also brought the ribeye which was full of fat and not a good cut of meat for the price they're asking for in both of our opinions with two starch dishes one which mashed potato and the other one was sweet potato and other root vegetables cut up. There was no option to ask for a different side. Dessert was lemon ricotta cake which honestly was kind of a bummer because it was sugary frosting that I could get at a Costco bakery The inside setting has a fireplace which is nice. One of the things that was a little bit different about our evening is the local patron who was there was a bit loaded and kept at our table we were trying to be polite about it but her husband didn't call her back and neither did the wait staff the wait staff did their best to get us distracted enough to move but the seat that they put us in was closer to the door and rather cold. I also got the impression that they were hoping to close up shop because the end dinner service at 9:00 p.m. and I had a seats in at around 7:45. I think the price is rather high given the quality of the food and not worthwhile. The only thing that I really did like about this place was the outdoor ambience so I might be inclined to come here with a group in the summer to sit by the fire pit chill out and hang and drink. Aside from that I'm not really loving the vibe of this place Plenty of parking in a private lot which is free. It's in a foresty part of Potomac if you like that kind of thing this will be a nice getaway not too far from the city.

I finally tried their brunch items on Mother's Day this year. My family enjoyed their breakfast burrito, burger with shoe string fries, and Cobb salad. The burrito was packed with eggs, chorizo, and all the fun sauces, making each bite flavorful and filling. I was pretty full after eating just half of it, and it came with a side of breakfast potatoes too. My only complaint about my experience here was that my entree came out 10 minutes before my dad's burger did. I know it w an be hard to time for all dishes to be ready at the same time, but I would have preferred for them to keep my entree on a heating plate rather than delivering it when it was ready. Overall, the restaurant offers traditional American items, with a slight spin. I am curious about their fried bacon sticks are about. An hour later we regretted the decision. A breakfast burrito shouldn't take an hour to be made and the beauty of an open kitchen is that you can literally see the moment the chefs realize there's an empty spot on their griddle where a burrito should have been. I'm giving three stars because of the fact that the staff were probably exhausted from a brunch party that was ending; but what happened to the good ol days where bar staff were attentive and offered assurance rather than essentially ignoring our existence until we reminded them that we're not just keeping the seat warm while watching ice melt in our expensive drinks. The kicker... The burrito wasn't even hot when it arrived! The more I think about it, the more upsetting it is because I hate giving bad reviews. After second thought, I'm giving it two stars for the lack of accountability, service, and quality of food. We've gotten better service from plenty of places that were way more crowded and busy.

The first few wines weren't really my style, but once I tried the Gewürztraminer I was sold. It was slightly sweet, really aromatic, and had such a nice tropical flavor. I loved it so much that I bought a bottle to take home. Dinner was just as good. My friend asked if they could combine two menu items by pairing the crispy Parmesan-crusted chicken from Dana's Parmesan-Crusted Chicken with the lemon-caper angel hair pasta from Ellie's Chicken Piccata, and they were happy to do it. It looked amazing, and after trying a bite I can definitely say it's worth asking for. I ordered the Prime Churrasco Grilled Steak, and everything on the plate was delicious. The steak was cooked well, but the wasabi-buttered mashed potatoes were honestly my favorite part. They had just enough wasabi to give them a little kick without being overpowering. The broccolini and cilantro-lime aioli rounded everything out really nicely. The atmosphere was relaxing, the restaurant was beautiful, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. If you're going, I definitely recommend doing the wine tasting before dinner.
