The service was lacking at OshKosh but the selection was fantastic. None of the servers helped us. One register was closed because someone went to lunch and another worker was sick. Today, we visited the Vacaville shop around 6:40 PM and left around 7:00 PM. Please check the footage, as it was our first time shopping for our newborn granddaughter, who is premature. We were trying to understand the difference between newborn and premature sizes and how to read the labels. One staff member was unable to explain and kept giving us the same response: "What we have is what we have." When I asked her to show me how to read the labels, she left to call Jackie. In the meantime, another person who was cleaning came over and kindly showed us how to read the labels, and our problem was solved. However, when Jackie arrived, she repeated the same phrase: "Search the shelf yourself; what we have is what we have." I told her that it was fine because we had already learned how to search. Jackie seemed offended by this. We picked up about $100 worth of items and wanted to split them into two shopping bags to gift separately, so we requested an extra bag. Jackie returned and insisted, "No, we don't give out two bags." I said, "That's fine. Can you split my shopping into two sections and give them in separate bags?" At this point, Jackie started yelling at us, saying we were rude and offensive. She said, "Take another bag and leave." I responded that she shouldn't talk to customers that way and that I would ensure she learns proper customer service. I decided to write this review to highlight that if a staff member does not understand customer questions, they need to have the patience to listen. Our question was simple: how to choose premature baby clothes and how to read the different labels, as newborn sizes were not fitting our tiny baby. I went in last week to get some clothing items for my niece. I asked a sweet young lady by the name of Kayla who was so very helpful and kind. I asked her about the sizing since I have never shopped for kids before. She went out of her way, even though I knew she was doing something, and found me the right size in the item I wanted. Now when I went to check out I got rung up by a cashier named Samantha. I was standing there for a couple minutes waiting for her to say are you ready to check out. She was tagging some items and completely ignored the fact that I was there. She finally decided to help me I guess when it was convenient for her... She did not say sorry for the wait and did not greet me with a "hello" or "did you find everything okay?" I work in customer service and I know better to treat customers with good service and friendliness. Samantha did not have any of that. And by looking at the comments from other shoppers who have encountered this rude woman.. should show the managers and supervisors that she's the problem of this whole store. Staff is not friendly at all. I did an exchange for bigger sized items and the cashier asked me to remove the items from the bag. I know, doesn't sound like that big of a deal and makes sense because of the pandemic right? NOPE! I disagree. Literally watched the cashiers touch other people's cash so that makes no sense at all to me and came off pretty rude. Do your job and take the damn clothes out of the bag, if you're already touching other people cash then I'm pretty sure you aren't going to catch many more cooties than you already are from touching peoples cash. Pretty good sales with additional discounts through the 4th of July. $3.99 4th of July shirts for the kiddies. I am basing my review solely on customer service and this review is based on the Vacaville location only. I was welcomed as I entered the store and asked if I needed any help. Being that I have frequented this store on a fairly regular basis I felt pretty confident I could find what I needed and thanked the associate for the offer. I made my way through the store and found myself disappointed with the immature and ridiculous options for an 8 year old girl. They did have the pants that my son specifically requested and hit a mini-jackpot on selection of colors and sizes. 60% off plus I had a coupon in my purse for an additional 25% off all my merchandise - score!! I loaded up as I was restocking my son's closet for "back to school." I got to the register and there were a few people in line ahead of me - no big deal, I wait my turn. I notice some shorts the lady in front of me has and I leave the line to go in search of them. I found them and headed back to the register. My arms are pretty full and I'm delighted to see nobody standing in line so I can set my clothes down at the register. After a while, the original associate sees me standing there and comes over to begin to check me out when another associate comes back (she was the one that had been checking people out earlier) and she looks and me and says, "sorry mam, but you have to wait, I was helping someone else" -- this would not have upset me if a) she would have asked if it was ok if he went ahead since he had the single item versus my 20 items or if b) she had been in the middle of a transaction with him, but she hadn't. (not to mention the customer, a man, should have insisted that a woman go first but I guess manners are just old fashioned and unheard of by everyone!?!) Quite annoyed I said "no problem, I'll just do my shopping somewhere else" as I walked out of the store and left my pile of pants on the counter. Feeling frustrated with myself for being so passive aggressive I told myself I should be more assertive and stand up for my rights as a customer. I went back into the store and asked to speak with the supervisor. Her name is Amy and she listened to me then goes, "what do you want me to do about that?". SERIOUSLY!?!? How about customer service!! The CUSTOMER should NOT have to tell the supervisor how the situation should have been handled or how to resolve the conflict but to apologize and offer to ring me up immediately and apologize once again as I leave the store... Obviously Customer Service 101 is far above their standard operating procedures and thus I refuse to spend another dime in their store!!! Gymboree userstands what customer service is and will remain my choice store for my children's clothing needs. read more

I come to OshKosh Outlet often and usually have a great experience, however, this time I came in and went to checkout with a pair of size 2T jeans that had an $8.99 orange sticker on it. Samantha was my cashier and thinking I wouldn't notice she ripped off the orange tag and rang them up at regular price for $16.99. I asked her why she took the tag off and she repeatedly said she did not and that it was never there. I became upset as anyone would in this situation and told her if it was tagged incorrectly to just tell me instead of lying to me, but she wouldn't admit to tearing the tag off. I would like to come in and view the cameras and speak to a supervisor or store manager. I feel discriminated against as if she assumed I put the tag on there myself and tried to scam which is not the case and can be easily proven by viewing the cameras. Went in to buy clothes for my grand daughter. I was looking for the classic overalls you used to have. I could only find the padded ones. So I asked your employee Samantha if she had more. She said all she has is on table. And that's the only style they have. Didn't offer to help look or anything and had an attitude. I looked around and found more. The ones I was looking for, on the wall. Later I found some jeans on a table , sign said $8 I got a pair. It rang up $10. Sheridan was our cashier. I showed her the sign. She asked Samantha about them. And she said they are $10. I said the sign says $8 and then she came over and said no they are $10! She said the classic are $8 and those are classic straight. So I got a classic. Sheridan put the pants I had originally got back on he table. Samantha said in a rude snarky voice "DONT PUT THEM BACK THERE! THEY GO ON THE WALL!" So I told her that's where I got them and that I wasn't even by the wall! Told her she had an attitude. I asked Sheridan if she was new because I figured she was with another employee talking down to her like that. She said she just started Monday. Samantha needs to learn better customer service and not be so rude. I feel like she was accusing me of taking the other pants off the wall and saying I got them from the table. Today 1/9/17 at 3:50 pm I quickly came in on my lunch to the store to purchase a sweater for my daughter. I found a sweater marked at 10.99 on a rounder that said additional 20% off. I went to the cash wrap to find myself being helped by Angelica she scanned the sweater and said this isn't 10.99 it's 21.99 this price sticker must have sticked on there from a different item & said she had just price marked these. I proceeded to say well how is that my fault it says 10.99 as she's peeling off the price sticker. She rolled her eyes and sighed and said with a stern tone " I just marked these" well little did Angelica know is that there were multiple sweaters in the same styles marked at 10.99 but I decided not to say that to her instead I made sure she knew I wanted to speak to a manager she then said "IM ONE OF THEM". She agreed to honor the price but what frustrated me most is that instead of saying I screwed up, she decided to lie to me and try to push the real price. As I was walking out of the store I head to the rounders with the sweater that I just purchased marked at 10.99 as well and grabbed it and handed it to her and told her " you may want to peel the sticker off this one too". Angelica own up to your mistakes and do not make customers feel like they are in the wrong when clearly YOU made a mistake and caused your store a loss. I would have bought the sweater at 21.99 but your eye roll & lack of integrity really pissed me off! Thank you for saving me 50% on a sweater and then some.
