Renarda's Kitchen is a local hangout for older folk in the morning, everyone was enjoying a hearty breakfast and conversation when I walked in just after 7am. I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese on a croissant and a sausage & cheese omelette w/ home fries and rye toast. Egg sandwich & omelette were tasty, but the homes fries were kinda blah, to be honest. Needed seasoning. Renarda seems to be a one person show (at least in the morning), she was working hard preparing everyone's meals. It's definitely a local "Greasy Spoon" and unpretentious. This time we brought the whole family for dinner. I'd recommend reservations on weekends since it was packed, but we got seated right away because we planned ahead. Our waitress was top-notch -- high energy, charming, attentive. I'd give her 6 stars if I could! She read our crew well and adapted to each individual at the table -- a skill that clearly came from experience, and it served her (and us) well. Everything we had was great: cocktails, appetizers, dinner -- not a bad thing on the table. But the standouts for me were the Buffalo Cauliflower and the Spicy Shrimp Shio Ramen. For drinks, the seasonal Crazy (whiskey, Amaro Montenegro, beet, cayenne, lemon, egg white) and the Veruca Salt (tequila, coconut, avocado, pineapple, lime) were both incredible.
