Last year I went to this dentist for exam and cleanings. I mentioned that there's sensitivity around my nose above a tooth where I had a root canal previously. They looked at the xray and said everything is fine. I went to a new dentist because the sensitivity got worse. My new dentist showed me the X-ray Dental Care of Casey Key took where there was an obvious dark spot of infection that they ignored. It has grown significantly with massive bone loss and now I have to have an extraction, significant bone graft and 2 step implant placement on a FRONT tooth. I'm 31 years old with otherwise healthy teeth. This could have been prevented or at least treated early had the dentist not been negligent in assessing my X-rays. Dental Care of Casey Key also said I have perio disease and had me go through the entire SRP procedure. My current dentist said I do not have perio and then pockets on my back teeth are likely "pseudo" pockets from having my wisdom teeth extracted as a kid, which can affect your gum tissue. This office also changed my hygienist without telling me until I showed up for the appointment. I don't suggest going here.

Because it's "Thank You Thursday" on YELP and I had some major work done today by Dr. Dave, who is my regular dentist and has been taking good care of me for more than a decade, at beyond reasonable prices as I don't have insurance or much money for the type of work I need. His awesome assistant, Janet was on a well-deserved vacation, so I had the pleasure of Dr. Steve's wonderful assistant, Maria, who without knowing it helped to ease the pain of a rather complicated procedure by distracting my nerves, like stepping on my toe but without the pain Thanks, Tracy for always getting back to me promptly, managing to schedule me in, and putting up with my PITA whining at checkout I'm so fortunate to have gotten my place there and Dr. David keeping me as a patient. I'm grateful, even more so since learning on my last visit that besides being a great dentist and a great guy, Dr. Dave and I share a similar interest, which I enjoyed speaking with him about, appreciated the extra time he spent with me chatting as it made my day. Gulf Cove was able to see me the afternoon I called and diagnose my issue. I was given appropriate treatment on the spot, and an invitation to call back if my problem didn't resolve itself in a few days for option 2 of treatment plan. My dental issue did require a referral to a specialist , but given the short amount of time I have left in FL, it was questionable whether I could obtain an appointment with said specialist (I couldn't). Gulf Cove was also very agreeable to working with my Ohio dentist office as far as supplying X-rays and info for when I return. I can't thank them enough, or recommend them more highly for their care and professionalism.

Dentistry of Venice is my third dentist in Florida for me and my family. At 64 years old its been 60 years since my first trip to the dentist around 4 years old. Dr. Brice is fantastic, his entire staff is AWESOME. Making and appointment painless (until YOU and your family start booking him out and I can't get in there!!!!) But I want the practice to grow and thrive and so if you want a great dental experience with a dentist of talks to you and explains and converses with you like a partner in your own health journey NOT like 28 (I never had wisdom teeth) or 32 teeth in a chair with an endless health savings account or credit card.... then this is YOUR spot!!! I had 2 dentists (first one retired) in my 45 years in Pennsylvania. Then one (1) in NY/LI for 16 years. It turns out, the dental office don't actually submit the work to your insurance company before hand, unless you specifically request it. Turns out my insurance compony denied it and wouldn't cover any of it, so I'm on the hook for another $1500.00. Why do they draw up the plan and costs and have you sign paperwork, without actually seeing what your true cost is. This has never happened to me in 57 years of going to a dentist, I truly feel scammed with Krause. I will no longer be going there.

I wish I could give zero stars. My experience with Dr. Krause has been nothing short of a…read morenightmare.   They make appointments when they get paid quickly but when it's a correction of what they did wrong, you experience a lengthy delay if not being completely avoided.   I was called in and made to wait for hours in the waiting room.  They performed a quick evaluation and told me I needed to come back in 3 weeks as that was the first available appointment and that they had other patients waiting for service outside.   The scheduler Julie originally made this appointment for me under the assurance that Dr. Krause would fix my painful issue but when I showed up, they said it was a mere consultation. Why did you ever schedule me when you have other more important patients waiting for you to charge while you've already collected from me and ruined my entire mouth? You made me take time off work and then have the audacity to ask me to return in three weeks after making me wait 90 minutes outside?   Treatments are rushed and careless. Instead of fixing my dental issues, this dentist made them worse; much worse. I left their office crying in front of five other patients waiting in the lobby because both sides of my mouth went untreated while I was in excruciating pain and experiencing bleeding gums. All they had to do was comfort me and say "We apologize but we don't have enough time today to treat you but we will give you the first available appointment and take care of you."   A simple procedure turned into a disaster, leading to several complications and eventually two root canals (and two crowns) that could have been avoided. This cost me over $4,000. Half my mouth is in worse shape than when I first walked into their office. I have had to seek help from another dentist and an orthodontist just to undo Dr. Krause's damage. Actually,  I take that back. There is no undo. All the other dentist(s) could do was finish the work Dr. Krause abandoned.   Save yourself the pain, frustration, anguish, embarrassment and expense; go somewhere else. I would never recommend Dr. Krause to anyone. What a shame/sham!
