Recently visited the office as a new patient to get my teeth cleaned. Mel was the hygienist and she was very thorough and informative. Marcella took my X-rays and explained what she was doing every step of the way. From the smiling faces in the front to the staff in the back, as a new patient I am happy I found my dental home! I wish there were 0 star! Avoid this practice! Totally ripoff! I went there for an annual checkup, they told me my insurance will cover everything, but later they sent a bill for X-ray which the insurance didn't cover. Why didn't you check my insurance and tell me that so I can decide if I need to do it or not? My teeth are healthy, no pain no issues, but they gave me a very expensive treatment plan over $3,000, also told me my insurance will cover it. Luckily I didn't do it, and I know they will charge me later and say, oops, the insurance doesn't cover it. They recommend unnecessary service like other reviewers said. I was charged $75 for a oral scan (they said it will scan for oral cancer) that is totally unnecessary for a middle age healthy people without any teeth issues. My insurance covers annual exam and they charge $20 for no reason. When I ask for the basis of this charge, explanation of benefits from the insurance company they cannot provide anything and said they have internet problem, will get back to me later. What a liar! Later they send me a bill for deactivated due to local provider change. What is this kind of charge? I definitely will dispute and file a complaint towards this business if they continue this nonsense billing!! read more

This husband and wife team are rude and cruel. They talk down on their dental assistants for actually having a personality, and treat everything like the sky is falling. All the while their children are crawling about and being "sweet," but the dental assistant... MY GOD! She was humming while a tooth was being filled, they act like a leg was being amputated. I overheard a scolding, I wasn't bothered at all. I actually felt at ease and less nervous with some care free humming vibes by the assistant, she was sweet and kind. All the while the child is touching and crawling on said assistant during a procedure. Little can they train a child, but to allow their child to interrupt and chaos during patient operations was more irksome in my opinion. The assistant was scolded for humming to a really cool song and it was laughable at the look shot, I have noticed the lack of being human in both dentists and it's almost as if they are robotic. If being fake and personable was a skill these two would be Rockafellin. It's a vibe of better than thou that I detest with their staff. Dentists are already one loose from the nest, but these two take the cake as a team effort. Seek elsewhere, unless you want two money hungry hypocritical dentists taking advantage of your mind and wallet. BEWARE! read more

Get a second opinion before agreeing to a suggested procedure. At a recent regular check-up/cleaning I was surprised to hear that I had developed serious gum disease and was presented with a treatment program to sign for over $900 of deep scaling treatment. Since my teeth or gums weren't bothering me and I practice good dental care I was a bit suspicious. Went to a periodontist who did not see any gum disease and sent me home with a rubber tipped gum tool and a small brush for cleaning the back of my teeth and an appointment for six months hence. read more

I don't even know you, but I'd be willing to bet that you have serious (and expensive) gum disease. You may need some root canals in teeth that never bothered you. And they'll try to sell you a water pik (even if you mention that your spouse already has one) and some very expensive mouthwash. Plus, on your way out, they will hand you a contract to sign agreeing to whatever work they intend to do on you next time. On top of that, the hygienist is pretty close to brutal, and sometimes you have to remind her that she didn't numb you up yet. Not to mention that their charges are among the highest in town. They act so nice and caring that it takes a while to figure out that they're ripping you off. Avoid like the plague. read more

I was a patient for about 6 months. In summary, the place is inept, expensive and probably the worst dental facility I have ever used. Since then, I returned to my prior dentist and he could not believe the state of my teeth in just a short period of time. Also, I guess that they are expecting to be sued as one continually has to sign waivers for work they suggest. Very unhappy with my first experience with Osprey Dental. I regularly go to the dentist (every 6 months) and I needed to find a dentist that was closer to me so I decided to try Osprey dental. If you are looking for an initial visit that charges you at least $150 to be established as a new patient, as well as a $,3000 "recommended" Care Plan than this is the perfect place for you. If I could I would give them no stars. Stay clear of this practice. They do poor dental work, overcharge you, terrible customer service and try to bill you 16 months after service with no explanation. If you call them, they tell you it is overdue even though they admit they are just getting to their billing. There are much better dental offices in the area that are 100% better. read more

From the moment I contacted this office to set up new patient relationships for my family I have been impressed. The staff is very accommodating and nice. I need to point out that I am a nervous nelly the entire appointment. I have had some bad experiences so I am always a little anxious. After my initial exam and cleaning which was very thorough, I was told I needed to have some work done. Today was the day and though I was still nervous Dr. Kessling and his amazing staff made sure I was taken care of. He made sure I was pain free and I never once felt the injections that I needed to complete the work. He was very patient and kind and I appreciated that more than anything. I've been to many a dentist in my days but Zachary Kesling is about the nicest and one of the most competent dentists I've ever gone to. I cannot believe some of the bad reviews about this office. Yes they present you with a proposed treatment plan but that is no obligation on your part. And truth be told, if your proposed treatment plan is extensive and expensive, you probably haven't taken care of your teeth in a long while and what is being proposed is likely what you need! I have never known their office to be "money hungry" and they only recommended what is necessary for healthy teeth and gums. In fact, Dr Kesling ended up doing an onlay for me which was much less invasive and much cheaper than a full blown crown that my previous "money hungry" dentist wanted me to do. And if/when Dr Kesling sees an issue that is beyond what his expertise is, he will refer you out to a specialist and won't just do any procedure to make a buck; he'll just refuse to do it. He is one of the most ethical dentists around and I would NEVER go anywhere else now that I've found my dentist. Plus he uses the most up to date technology for the best results. And the staff there are kind and helpful and always look up my dental insurance benefits BEFORE I get there so I am not surprised with a big bill. If you think this office is bad, you should really visit some other dentists offices who ask you for payment as soon as you walk in the door BEFORE any service is even rendered! And Osprey Dental will submit insurance claims for you which not all dentists will do. I've been going to see Dr Kesling for years now and I think he and his office is awesome. read more
