Recently moved into less busier part of Deltona. Came across this diner a few times and decided to try them out. Such a cute place. Service is great and friendly and the food is amazing. Found our new place to have breakfast...and look forward to trying other things on their menu. My bf had the ribeye and eggs. I had ham, eggs and a waffle. Food came out quick and it was delicious. They stay busy and I can see why. Love trying smaller non-franchise places. This obviously is a local favorite. Can't wait to come back again. read more

Stopped by here for early dinner while coming through the area. I'm all for hole in the wall small town restaurants and this is it for Osteen. I had the Cuban sandwich which was very good. There could have been cheese on both sides of the meat to hold it all in as it kept falling out but oh well. The pickles tasted like they were home made. My husband had the steak sandwich. We asked for it medium, it can out well done and it didn't seem to have any seasoning on it. He still ate it and said once he added mayo and 57 sauce it made it better. My son had the chicken fingers which he said were good. There was only 2 servers in there and what seemed to be a helper and as the dinner crowd came in they became slammed. The cook,whom I presumed to be the owner, kept yelling at one of the servers which I was disgusted to witness because she was working hard and running around like crazy. Took my family to the Osteen Diner for dinner. Not bad at all. I had mild wings, they aren't your typical buffalo wings. They have a different type of sauce that's reminiscent of buffalo... but not there. Regardless they were still crispy and large. I also had the fried pickle Spears and they were very good. The breading stayed on and were crispy. My dad had the catfish dinner and he was happy with the portion. My children had chicken tenders and fries and they were very happy with the quality, my youngest ate almost all his food which is a task. We all had desserts and they were all good. Berry cobbler/coconut cream pie and a brownie sundae to be exact. The one star down is only for my moms dish. She had a philly cheese plain with no onions or peppers. The problem was the meat. It had no seasoning on it whatsoever. Very bland. Other than that it was a good outing and the service was super polite and the prices weren't bad at all. read more

Southern Comfort Food at its best! It has been 6 to 8 years since I first discovered this gem hidden away in Osteen Florida. If possible, the food is even better under its new management. Friendly, clean, and inviting, our group of 15 or so were welcomed and they fit us into an already crowded diner. Two big rooms, full of "working people", old timers, and faithfully regulars. We tried half the menu of down home southern cooking. All of it terrific. My chicken fried steak with sausage gravy, a side of collard green, black-eyed peas, and cucumber salad was better than grandma.'s The steak was tender, lightly battered and fried to perfection. Others had meat loaf, burgers.too high with trimmings to get your mouth around, and eggs and grits. The Cobb salad was made for a lady trucker. Not one person amount our 15 bicycle group had a single complaint, except " I want to order that next time"! The secret cinnamon breakfast roll with icing wasn't revealed until after we were too full to possibly eat it, so we took it to go for later. Big meals. Reasonably priced. Fast service. Faster kitchen and friendly folks. We will be back. It's worth the drive to find Osteen. Finding the restaurant is easy. There isn't anything else in Osteen other than a gas station or two. read more

All in all, it's just another diner down the street.. Went here today in a whim because my father fancies mom and pop locations just like this. Upon arriving we noticed that the place was halfway full, and being where it was, all of the people there were locals. I would assume they have built up a good rapport with the community. Prices were fair. My father ordered the fried catfish with corm hush puppies and fries, me and my mother ordered the club sandwich, I roast beef and my mother turkey. One thing we noticed immediately was how quick the service was! We had our food in what felt like no time! The club was okay at best, it is only that there was nothing that made it stand out. The catfish looked good but I personally think that $11 for one fillet is a but much. All of us got French fries that were nothing special, they were bagged then fried. The sweet tea was the oddest color though it almost tasted watered down and way to sweet. The crime de la creme though was the pie! I mean, dang! How this place shows 4 stars is beyond me. This is not the first time we left because of no service. It's over priced. The food is mediocre and the service is non-existant. Waitresses have absolutely no personality and don't even attempt to be welcoming. Husband and I have been going there regularly since we moved to the area 3 years ago. We always say we're not going there again. But its the only game in town so I imagine that's how they stay open. Amber is the only waitresses there that is smiling and friendly. Went on a Sunday morning for breakfast for the first time and I have to say looks are very deceiving. Parking lot was packed so we expected a long wait.... it's actually fairly big inside with lots of seating! We were sat right away. Server wasn't overly friendly, but she was nice enough. Good home cooked meals like a step back in time to a family diner. Their smothered country fried chicken is out of this world good. Complimented with green beans, mashed potatoes and corn bread. I stopped and had a meal here several times a couple years ago (pre-Yelp). The food was more than adequate, service was good, and overall it was an enjoyable place to stop. I keep seeing that they have added music with Folk performers and jams regularly, so I am going to have to get back there and see what it's all about. Dell has been at some jams i've attended and he's good, i think, so it was a good chance to see the Diner. It's changed some since I was last there, new owners and improved layout. They have an outdoor seating area and two main areas inside. The music was sey up in the side room and it worked out well. There was a pleasant crowd and service was great. They had a list o specials on the board and I went for a plate of pork roast with sides. Good comfort food on a cool evening. The menu is diner fare plus. Lots of choices and from what I saw othrs eating, it all looked good. Plenty of breakfast choices and others. They apparently have beer and wine, but I didn't check the selection or prices. Dinner for two with desert and coffee was more than rteasonably priced, adding in the entertainment made it extra good. I'll stop again when I'm out that way. read more

What Pandemic? It's business as usual here. We got up and walked out! There is no indication that this business is trying to mitigate risk. "Sit wherever you want", no sign requiring masks, no sign of hand sanitizer, no masks on any employees. We can spend our money some place that is trying to protect us from this virus. read more

The Osteen Diner is alright, not spectacular but alright. We stopped here mostly because it is about halfway between the airport in Orlando and my girl's grandparents place in Daytona. It was still morning and we got breakfast, the eggs were done just right but the bacon was like a rock! I like it crispy but not rip my teeth out crispy. The service was quick and friendly, the prices were about standard for a diner in the middle of nowhere. We have just discovered this place place and have been going once a week. OK, the food is on par with any diner food around, nothing spectacular, but nothing wrong with it. The pies are great! The staff is super friendly, the owner and his wife are charming and chatty. The music on Saturday nights is outstanding. All in all, I love going here.
