If you walk to fast you will pass it but this little corner shop was everything and some. Food all of it was delicious. Remember make reservations for dinner & don't pass on dessert and wine. Service was excellent. Went twice

To describe how much I love this restaurant, we started the first day in Italy eating at this local restaurant and will be ending the last two days of my trip eating here once each day. We had tried pasta everyday in each of the cities we visited, including Milan, Rome, Florence, and Amalfi. All are delicious in their own ways but something about this place has won my heart over. Perhaps it was the home cooked mom/pops style cooking which captivated me. Or maybe the uniqueness in the tomato sauce had me craving more. I had the pasta of the day which is spaghetti seafood in tomato sauce. The very first bite I took felt it was sent straight from heaven and almost made me convert my citizenship. Mouthful after mouthful of perfectly cooked spaghetti coated in light olive oil and tomato sauce topped off with soft and tender clams and muscles til the plate was wiped clean. And after the multiple times I've eaten here, I still can't get enough. Of course I can't end this review without a huge shoutout to the owner and all the staff working there for their hospitality and friendliness. The food and the staff here will be my forever one of the favorite topics to share with folks back home when speaking about my Italy experiences. As a piece of advice, to avoid disappointment in not being able to get a seat: either make a reservation or show up right when the restaurant opens.

Off the beaten path, this restaurant definitely makes you feel like a local. We ordered the gnocchi, spaghetti with clams, a liter of wine and tiramisu and spent about 34 euros. The food was absolutely delicious and they were kind in understanding we didn't speak much English. The couple next to us ordered the taglioni with pesto and it looked amazing. We would definitely come back here again

Soft shell crab only available in May and June. Succulent!!

We had the best meal in Venice here. We asked the staff for their recommendation and was delighted with the recommendation of the seaonal soft shell crab on available only in May and June when they are molting. It was heavenly!! The olive oil was bitter. Don't use it. I cannot believe there were so few reviews here inlight of the fact they have been opened 10 years. Perhaps it is so close to the bridge that one may overlool this delightful restaurant??

My wife and I stopped as we were getting lost in the city. Great place for an afternoon wine.

Very sad that a restaurant would serve this spaghetti with broken up pasty shrimp.

Absolutely spectacular seafood, pasta with that sauce that made us finish that third basket of bread wiping the dishes clean, lasagna that tasted like Nonna was in the kitchen; warm and loving staff that made us feel like 20 Million Euros, a fantastic accordion player who played all the great Italian classics, reasonable prices, a lovely and inviting interior, seating outside with views of the canal in this the Cannaregio district & melt in the mouth Tiramisu that made us request to leave that big rectangular baking dish, serving spoon( and bib) on the trolley by our tables. From the moment we arrived, the owner, Marco, made us feel genuinely welcome. He explained that the food is Sicilian and quite different from what you typically find in Venice, which was exactly what we were hoping for after days of similar menus. The menu is short, focused, and built around family recipes. We ordered the pasta of the day, the roast beef, and the smoked salmon dish, and every single item was fantastic. To finish, we had limoncello made by Marco's mother, and it was absolutely delicious. What really made the evening special was Marco and his family. They were warm, kind, and genuinely happy to share their story with us. We loved hearing about his late father and the lasting impact he had on both the family and the restaurant. One of the most memorable parts of the night was joining in the restaurant tradition of coloring pictures and exchanging them with drawings already hanging on the ceiling. We ended up taking home a picture created by a family member, and it will be making the journey back with us to Carlsbad, California. Without a doubt, this was the best dining experience of our entire trip through Europe. Highly recommended!!

For dinner in peak season, try to make a reservation as the restaurant is very small. We arrived before our reservation time and were seated immediately inside and greeted warmly by the restaurant owner. We ordered a bottle of wine to start (most under 20 Euros for a 75 ML bottle). For appetizers we ordered the cheese with honey for 13 Euros, absolutely amazing! We also combined this with the local olive oil and fresh bread brought to the table to start as well. For our second course we chose two pastas, the Penne Alla Amatriciana (I think it was around 12 Euros), and the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (I think it was around 12 Euros as well). Both had extremely fresh homemade ingredients and were out of this world and extreme attention to care in the preparation. For our entree we split the breaded pork chop (I think it was around 20 Euros), including a side of potatoes (similar to the steak fries that you would see in the U.S.) The service was absolutely amazing and we loved dining alongside the owner and his family and meeting the cat that also lives at the restaurant and comes by to greet you during the meal as well. It truly was like you were dining at the home of the owner and is a must try if you are in Venice!

We got one order of grilled lamb and the Lombatello steak for 2. The lamb was also good, no gamey taste. The Lombatello steak was simply fantastic, choose this cut specifically!! A heaping pile of medium-rare meat (cannot buy single portions) that was very tender and flavorful. It's cushioned with steak fries and grilled veggies on the side.
