Pork shoulder special. Very tender and tasty.

Lovely meal. Food was good, service was excellent, place is cozy and cute. Took 3 tries to finally get a Wednesday at 5pm reservation. Glad we finally got it, enjoyed our dinner very much. Ordered the focaccia, squash blossoms, crudo appetizers and ravioli and the pork shoulder special for entrees. Everything was good but I thought the squash blossoms needed more filling and less batter. The ginger beer and gelati were the standouts for me.

The service really sets this place apart. The people are wonderful and very caring about your dinner experience. My favorite items were the squash blossom appetizer and the lemon ravioli with asparagus! They also have a wonderful wine selection offered by the glass or bottle. Highly recommend! Reservations are hard to get - set an alarm when they release and move quickly as they only have ~20 seats available

Incredible!!!! Truly the best staff, food, and atmosphere. Worth the drive from Dallas proper- we will continue to come here again and again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such an intimate spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

WOW WOW WOW Finally had an opportunity to experience Osteria and it didn't disappoint at all. From entering the restaurant the staff was amazing and friendly. We had a short wait when we arrived to eventually be seated 5 minutes later. Once seated our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu and how to pair everything with drinks on the menu. Taylor was amazing I hope if we go back we get her she knew everything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is a very intimate feel, making things feel like you are in a small part of Italy. From the music to the hanging spices and peppers, everything sets the stage for the amazing food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can almost guarantee anything you order off the menu will be amazing. Everything is prepared fresh from the hand churned butter for rolls to the pasta noodles and spices they use to cook them in. Amazing amazing amazing man the food was so good it's impossible to put in words. EAT HERE it's worth it, the prices are great, and the food is amazing.

Excellent service, very welcoming. Usually there are one or more specials. Pastas all made in-house. Difficult to get reservations but worth it!

This is a true five star dining experience on its own scale! [[HIGHLIGHT]]On first arrival, you see the cutest garden right behind the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's a decent amount of parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is a home converted to a restaurant. The dining room is incredibly intimate. You'll feel like you're eating in a family member's home. It probably seats about 24 people or so, small space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food itself was spectacular. We tried the warm olives, bread with fresh churned butter, squash blossoms, chicken liver pate, gnocchi, wagyu special, chocolate budino, and lemon-poppy seed bombolini. I loved everything, but the squash blossoms were my favorite. They were stuffed and creamy. I took the "pane" bread and churned butter home and ate it for days. Elsa is the best! She helped us every step of the way and every recommendation she made was perfect. This is a good seasonal restaurant so I'm already planning a Fall return.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice Ambiance, Fresh Ingredients--But Lacking a Wow Factor[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for quite some time, and finally scored a reservation for a double date. We went with friends who are Italian, and between the four of us, we ordered nearly everything on the menu--except the risotto, due to an allergy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The overall vibe of the restaurant is lovely: it's small, cozy, and charming, with a beautiful little garden in the back where they grow many of their own ingredients.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything is made from scratch daily, and you can tell they really care about freshness and quality. Major points for that. That said, the food itself was just okay. Everything was prepared well--pastas were cooked properly, sauces were balanced--but nothing really stood out. There was no "wow" dish that made us feel like we were having a truly memorable meal. It was all... fine. Not bad by any means, just not exceptional. The wine list was also underwhelming, which was disappointing for a place that clearly puts effort into their concept. Would I go back? Probably not, especially given how hard it was to get a reservation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute spot and a nice experience for a date night, but for us, it didn't live up to the hype.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Amazing dining experience. No notes. Bree was amazing. If you're curious about something, just get it.. and don't skip the focaccia.

Finally was able to try the famous Osteria Il Muro!! It was everything expected and more!! We were a little early so they suggested we have a drink while we wait! They recommended a few wines and they were all amazing! Once we were seated we ordered the focaccia bread and olives! We then ordered a salad and our entrée. We couldn't leave without trying the desserts and everything was outstanding!

While it took forever to get in to this local gem, it was well worth the wait. Our server was lovely. She had great recommendations and was able to break down exactly what each dish was. We SPLURGED! Since we didn't know if we would be able to come back we kind of got a little bit of everything! Starters, Fjord Trout Crudo, peppadew peppers, suppli al telefono, polenta croccahte, pesto modenese Entrees, nettle strettine, sorpresine al ragu, bucatini all'amatriciana Desert, olive oil cake, gelatin flight

I now understand why this is one of the toughest tickets to get in DFW. My wife and I were fortunate enough to dine here this evening. While there are many words that could be used to describe Osteria Il Muro, the word that comes to mind for me is: thoughtful. Our Server was one of the kindest gentlemen I have ever had the experience of having a restaurant. As it was our first time dining here, he was personable and patient and took the time to go through the menu. Since my wife is pregnant there are things she has to watch out for and even went so far as to change out certain items to ensure they were pasteurized. The establishment itself has beautiful decor and as many are already aware sits within a former home. I privately laughed to myself because I remember going to a college party 20 years ago at a home a few houses down. We sat near the pasta station and it was so interesting to see the tools that were used earlier in the day to make the food we got to enjoy. The food was absolutely phenomenal, the baby lettuce was one of the best salads I have ever enjoyed and the olive oil used for the salad dressing was superb. As for the main courses, the ragu that I ordered was phenomenal. But I have to say that the vegetarian pastas we ordered stole the show. Nothing was "too heavy" and was light and enjoyable. As for desert, I have to say the vanilla bean semifreddo was one of the best I've had. Very few places take the time to give Pears the love they deserve and Muro outdid themselves with such a fantastic desert.

    Tagliatelle

Excellent food and service. The focaccia was amazing. Sidney was outstanding and helped my wife work through menu options that would work for her. Both of our main dishes were very good and the cannoli was the best we've ever experienced.

Fabulous! It was a dining experience! Our server was amazing and was very patient with us explaining all the deliciousness! Intimate surroundings that make it like home! Scratch made different dishes that are so yummy- from Appe's, mains to Desserts!!! Get in a reservation if you can!!

We walked into the unassuming interior and were surprised to discover a very limited menu, starting with a burger and only a few Italian dishes. We ordered chicken parm and chicken marsala and went to a cozy booth in the corner. Service was warm and friendly. Our meals were outstanding and the portions were huge. As we enjoyed our food, the other restaurant patrons stopped at the front counter to praise the cook. This place is a treasure. Delivery is a little quirky but the results are exceptional.

We came here for an early dinner after the show at the planetarium. Seriously get the burnt carrot. It's $10, for 1/2 of a carrot, but no joke, it's worth it. The chicken pesto entree was okay, but they used some other herb besides Basil in the pesto that is just not my jam-- dill maybe?, chervil??-- I dunno, but it threw off the flavor for me. That said, the cutlet underneath was very crispy and all the bites without the pesto were delish!. I have heard raves about the burger, so maybe that is worth another shot?? The service?, not stellar, just bored and unenthusiastic at the counter and s-l-o-w from the kitchen. The carrot came out quickly, but the cutlet took about 30 minutes after that, and the place was nearly empty. And, sorry to mention this part, the bathroom was filthy. I try not to correlate a dirty bathroom with a dirty kitchen, but it's difficult to reconcile.
