This is an unassuming storefront restaurant in a small strip center in a residential area of Denton. Not much for atmosphere and the woman seating and serving at this late lunch time seemed a bit bothered to be there. The good news is that prices are very reasonable. The bad news is that the food was average at best. The manicotti was way overcooked, but since things had taken awhile to arrive and the woman serving didn't seem to care much, we just kept it. The shrimp diavolo was better with plenty of nice shrimp and well-prepared pasta. It was all absolutely swimming in the runny sauce, however. Needed a soup spoon to keep up with it. If this restaurant were in my neighborhood, we would go now and then, but it is a few miles away for us, so I see no reason to ever return. read more

Very disappointed - it used to be very good however the most recent experience really went backwards. The meat and cheese board was $28 for literally 10 grapes, 8 pieces of cheese/crackers/meat - Super small. Then they charged us full price for happy hour drinks even after asking which wines which size and received confirmation all wine and any size. Very sad to see this happen to a good place. read more

Deceptive. Note the size of the ONE meatball. SMALL. Taste was good, but can't get past the one tiny meatball. Salad was wilted and clearly not from today. Salad was $7.95. Wow. Not good. First visit of the fat man. Was seated. Quickly received garlic knots and an unsweetened tea. The garlic knots will return in a moment. The owner's mother was my server. I asked for her recommendation. She suggested the Napoli Special. Consider it done. Waited a brief time. Here comes the main. The special. The plate looked sharp. The aroma was a bit peppery and a bit like fennel from the Italian sausage. The meal had chicken, sausage and a bacon. Very tasty. Loved soaking up the sauce with the garlic knots. Oh my belly!! My mom and I were hungry for good old spaghetti with meat sauce so I got on Instacart and chose Napoli's, going by the number of stars and the nearness of the restaurant for delivery. It arrived in about 15 to 20 minutes, and the portions were huge. The sauce was perfect, not bitter, not too sweet. We happily ate too much and have enough for another meal. We'll go to the restaurant soon and try something else on the menu. read more

This place has solid Italian food. We've gone there multiple times, and will continue to go there any time we are in Denton. I have gotten takeout from Napoli's in the past, but this time I decided to eat in. This was a mistake not because the food did not taste good, but because the restaurant needed a good cleaning. The carpet was very dingy and could use a steam cleaning or just be pulled out and put in tile. We were told to sit anywhere, but each booth we came to was dirty, so we waited for it to be cleaned. Our menus were dirty and when we asked to see the wine list, they brought out a plastic card holder with the menu slipped into it. The problem was it was extremely dirty. The food was tasty but the atmosphere was not good due to the restaurant needing a thorough cleaning, so I give it 3 stars. read more

The stay-at-home ordinance got me tired of home cooking so I hopped on to see what Italian food I could order. Napoli's Italian popped up on our Doordash so we decided to give it a try. It is the most affordable Italian food I've ever seen! The delivered food was piping hot and even came with freshly baked bread! For the price that you pay, the amount of food is appropriate. It was the perfect portion size and I wasn't extremely full and didn't feel like I was heavily carb-loading. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and my fiancé ordered the chicken carchovi. The fettuccine Alfredo wasn't amazing but it wasn't terrible. The noodles tasted hand-made and were a little wider than the type of noodles you can buy in the store. The Alfredo sauce was creamy and seasoned well. The amount of chicken was adequate for the amount of pasta. My fiancé also enjoyed his chicken carchovi. The artichoke hearts paired well with the chicken and he enjoyed how creamy the sauce was. The bread on the side to dip in the sauce was a great addition. Maybe next time we'll order the garlic bread on the side so we can get that extra kick in flavor! read more

We tried dining inside this location recent, and we were so pleasantly surprised by our food. I swear I could eat their hot homemade rolls for the rest of my life! I had ordered the spaghetti with Italian Sausage. Even the sausage tasted homemade and it was fabulous. I thought their prices were very reasonable, but nite: your spaghetti dinner doesn't NOT include a salad or anything else. Noodles, sauce and sausage. Plus the amazing bread. We loved our experience so much, we ordered a pizza last week for delivery. Their were very speedy in their arrival with our pie. It was made perfectly. And it a great value for the size. Great for takeout. Love their combo sauce, stuffed mushrooms, Italian sausage appetizer to add to other pasta dishes, just an all around good place for some Italian comfort food. If you are looking foe modern Italian cooking or fancy combinations, you probably should look elsewhere. We have always had a great meal here. I was just deeply saddened by this restaurant. I was taken to this in hopes of a good Italian meal, but I was sorely mistaken. We first walk in, I am introduced to an empty bar, a staff-less front, and an awkward mildewy smell. After waiting for about three minutes a waiter notices us. We were still not greeted, but he proceeded to go to the kitchen to call on, what I would assume to be the host. After being greeted by the nice boy we were shown to a table. After being seated, the table smelt of a sour rag mixed with mildew and some sort of solvent. It was quite pungent and hard to get away from the smell. We looked at our menus. The menus were old, looking; bits of food stuck between the plastic covering and the paper. The paper itself looked as if it had not been changed for ages as the paper was turning yellow with noticeable wet spots that dried out. The selection on the menu was vast but simple, working on the choice before and expanding. Everything was quite inexpensive as well. Our final ticket ended up being only $20 for two. Five minutes go by, with the sun glaring into my eyes through the windows and blinds. I would have assumed a server or staff member would notice the bright shining rays of light piercing into the the eyes of its customers. Unfortunately, it took me about an additional five minutes to get a staff member to close the blinds. Mind you at this point there are only three tables being occupied, with one table already having been served. A waitress finally showed and asked what we wanted to drink. She then returned with our drinks and some bread. The bread looked and smelled amazing. Toasty on the outside, spreaded Parmesan cheese with garlic butter. It looked soft and wonderful. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. I grab a piece, and rip it open; to my surprise, the bread was slightly undercooked. I was greatly disappointed. It did taste great, but the undercooked dough almost ruined the dinner for me. We proceeded to place our orders: one veal parmigiana and one meat ravioli. This is where we play the waiting game. Ten minutes go by, we have not been asked anything; no drink refills, no bread refills, nothing. Twenty minutes go by we are finally greeted by a stout woman whose attempt at being a good waitress, and asking how we are, was thwarted by her body language that seemed to scream a distaste for even having to come out and pick up slack of others. I will applaud her though on noticing that we have been waiting for a while. We told her what we ordered, and she offered to refill our drinks and bread, which was nice of her. We waited ten more minutes, and finally the food comes out. Unfortunately, the stout woman knew what my order was but proceeded to calm the other order "this one". I laughed a little on the inside because I felt it would be something I would saw if my mind was wondering about the restaurant and it's status. The food did not look that appetizing, but it did smell amazing. Mine had a little excess sauce so much that I couldn't find the noodles. I begin to cut into the veal parmigiana. It seemed to be almost as tough as leather. My first piece I had to saw thinking that I was a lumberjack at this point. I took a bite of the piece and realized it was slightly over cooked. My jaw was now going through it's own workout routine performing many reps before my jaw wears out. The spaghetti noodies did not taste fresh:homemade. The meat raviolis were blah and flavorless. Update 2.23.19 After all this happened and this issue was addressed with the owner we were told our next meal would be on the house and free of charge. He took our name and phone number and told us just to provide that and it was on the house. Awesome right? Nope My wife called tonight to place an order and explained what had happened to the guy on the phone. He said ok and we placed our order and then said "okay we give you 10% off" What the hell? No sir, we explained again what we were told. "Ok we give you 20% off". Not sure what crap they are pulling here but there service sucks. They basically lied to us. This is a terrible way to do so business. We will never ever frequent this place and will never recommend it to anyone. Bad service and shady management. My wife even called and asked if they were busy and she was told there are plenty open tables. So we live about 5 minutes away and headed over. It was busy but there was indeed open tables. We sat down at 6:30. We ordered beverages and the stuffed mushrooms and placed our entree order. About 6:45 we got our drinks and appetizer. Then nothing. My tea glass was empty for 20 mins. We noticed all of a sudden a halt to the service. People around us left and one couple a few tables away only had received one dish. At 7:30 PM....an hour after we sat we had no food. I'm that time I had one refill and that was only after we stopped a staff member. We finally said we were leaving and the waitress asked us to hold on and that she would check on our order. She came back 10 minutes later to tell us our order hadn't even been started. We left. The failure came from Napoli's taking to go orders which left the actual dine in customers not receiving food in a timely manner. Napoli's should have stopped taking to go orders until done in customers were taken care of. This is really bad way to run a restaurant. Yes I'm aware it was Valentine's Day and it's busier but this is an example of bad customer service and a poorly managed and staffed restaurant. Very dissatisfied with how the whole situation was handled. First review: I have been here a few times and every time we are the only ones in the place. It looks run down and a little tacky, more like a dive. But that's kind of the charm to me. The food is really good. Love the rolls. The fettuccine alfredo has a ton of flavor. Portion size is a little on the small size but this America where are used to heaping piles of food. The baked ziti is great and while it may look small small it's really not. I travel a lot and am in restaurants more than I should be,, so when this place opened in my neighborhood I was happy. I generally order to go when I am at home and the service is always good. The food is very generous - the Veal Parm is enormous and the other pasta dishes are great. I am a little put off when some people give bad reviews based on some weird ideas they have. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. They delivered with marinara not meat sauce. I called them and they redelivered. They redelivered just the meat sauce no spaghetti. What am I going to do with it? I'm still on my date night with my girlfriend, she looks a bit cross that I won't stop typing, but I just want to tell you how great the food was at Napoli. The bread, ermagherd it was so light and fluffy and garlic...y? Garlic and butter over what felt like the texture of pizza dough twisted into knots. I dunno how they make it, but it was really good. And my girlfriend's Pizzaioli was amazing as well (we always share a bite when we try new dishes). Everything tasted wonderful and I'll be eager to return and try more of their menu. Service was fine. We were seated quickly and tended too quite well. The room was nice, lit a bit brighter than one typically expects from an Italian restaurant but it was nice enough, no complaints. Highly recommend trying this place if you live in the area. Heck, even if you don't live in the area consider taking a brief road trip to Denton and look this place up.
