    Oysters Calamari Tuna Tartare
    Joseph Z.

Food is unique. Some items are hit or miss. Chicken chili 10/10. Tuna tartar, personally not a fan, but if you appreciate lentils then yeah probably up your ally. Oysters for happy hour $3/piece... eh not really a happy hour price and the oysters are mediocre. I didn't intent to do happy hour on a Saturday, but showed up and gave it a shot with wife and her friends. The drinks are good and unique. The happy hour prices aren't really happy hour prices, and please don't say "value" because the portions were very stingy. You want the asthetic or quick overpriced lunch with really not great service, sure. Otherwise spend the $ elsewhere. Some happy hour items were incorrect on my bill. I let them know on the way out and didn't take the correction because $2 off an item for happy hour was robbery regardless. Fortunately for this place there are limited fine dining lunch options giving Boro the ability to fit this niche. Ambiance is consistently nice, 4 walls, water runs... If they want to charge what they charge they need better service or have better food. Burger 7.5/10 Chili chicken 10/10 Oysters 4/10 (didnt make me sick so that's a +) Calemari 5/10 (came out cold) Tuna Tartar 4/10 (+2 if you like lentils, tasted more like ceviche in my opinion) Drinks 7-10 * wedge salad with truffle dressing 10/10 Recommendation Wedge Salad Chili Chicken Pick a cocktail Exit the restaurant

Hidden little gem in a strip mall. Happy Hour was great. Loved chatting with our bartender and watching the drinks being made. Pics say it all. Floral arrangements were beautiful.

Boro is an upscale, romantic venue with an excellent food and beverage program. I have enjoyed some wonderful dining experiences there in the past. Recently, the Clover Club cocktail was mixed perfectly! My one constructive criticism regards employee cellphone usage during shifts. Bartenders should not be scrolling on their cellphones in one hand while shaking a cocktail in the other.

I 1st discovered this place by accident looking for oysters after having a bad experience at a restaurant that shut down not far from Boro. I walked in during happy hour and tried the CHAMPAGNE MIGNONETTE, and one of their specialty cocktails and was hooked. I tried the poached pear and it was unique, with a semi-sweet lavender syrup. It was very tender ... and delicious. For my bday we ordered the PAPPARDELLE/SHORT RIB & seafood ravioli (I no longer see this on the menu). We also ordered the Smoke & Mirrors and the LV cocktails soooo good. The Smoke and Mirrors definitely has smoky taste. I have no idea how they knew it was my bday because I didn't mention during the reservation nor did my date.... nice touch. Will be back!

    Great burger very juicy

The service and ambiance are perfect. The food was really good as well, I would say a little pricey but overall great experience. We didn't get a picture of it, but the iceberg salad was AMAZING! Drinks were great too.

I live in downtown Hopewell. It's Valentine's Day. I took my wife there tonight. My bill was $500. 480 to be exact. Men beware. I got an appetizer a steak and a tiramisu and two drinks my wife had 3 . I've been to many steakhouses in my life. It's a shame cause I live about 10 minutes away. When I first walked in, I was thinking this might be a new place for us when I got that bill of $500 at the end of the night I couldn't believe it. You would have to be a complete sap to bring your wife or date there. Desperate. I walked out of there like come on. I feel like I got taken for. $500 for two people. People are going to ask me about the boro market. This is my story and I know a lot of people. The service was mediocre. The steak was average. The service was mediocre. The vibe felt great. We would have been back 100 percent if the price wasn't ridiculous. My wife told me to let it go. I don't even usually make yelp reviews, but this made me angry. I do not like that price at all. You have to be on your first date trying to impress this to make any sense. How much how much was my slice of tiramisu 50 bucks? I do not understand this.

Ravioli with sausage, figs, and spinach stole the show, alongside phenomenal halibut and a lobster-loaded mac & cheese.

I took my wife here for her birthday dinner. This was our first time dining at this restaurant. My wife said she wanted halibut for her special day. I did a search for restaurants serving halibut currently on their menu. Boro was one of the few that showed up. It is relatively close to where we live and we have been wanting to try it out since they opened. They did not disappoint! Five stars all day! Everyone was extremely and genuinely very pleasant and several of the staff came to wish her a happy birthday, which made her feel very special! We will absolutely be back for a date night!

Went this past weekend for a birthday dinner. This place never disappoints. The food is always amazing. The service is impeccable. The only thing is it is hard to hear if you are in the main dining area with the bar. The high ceilings and how busy it always it always cause us to have to be very loud to talk to be able to hear one another. I came home sounding horse from having to throw my voice! But the food is very much worth it. ,

We are visiting Pennington NJ and it's hard to find great food! This is the place to visit! Beautiful restaurant and amazing food! We ordered take out for our daughter who is expecting a new baby any day now and decided to have dinner in house. The food was amazing, fine dining. Beautiful bar area. You will be pleasantly surprised that such a gem sits off Route 31. Sorry for the short Rib papadelli photo! A bit blurred. It was great! The dessert is over the top ! Wait till you see the selection!

Excellent glass of Pinot noir and a plate of cauliflower gnocchi. Friendly, attentive staff are the best. Truffle frites and fresh bread with local honey butter will crush your low carb diet. But it is soooo good.

Such an unexpected place that has quickly become our favorite. Beautiful cozy restaurant with amazing drinks and delicious food. There are so many gluten-free options!!!! The last time I was there, I tried the fried calamari, crunchy chicken, cauliflower gnocchi and the halibut. Oh the halibut! Cooked to perfection, topped with a crispy squash and served with black garlic sauce. Don't forget dessert! Try the zepoles! They are gluten free as well!!!

I just want to make sure Siri is accurate next to time someone asks for best restaurants in the area. 4.3 stars was a steep rating. This place presents as an upscale wannabe Italian restaurant. Food: Make sure you ask for the bread with sweet butter(It is delicious). I do not usually complain about food, but they asked and I was honest. Honestly the best thing I tasted at the table was the $18 kids burger and the $22 "Brisket" Burger(A typical burger with what you would add on a brisket. The Parpadelle pasta was delicious(the physical pasta not the crock pot shredded short rib. The broccoli rabe had no flavor at all, the chicken cutlet tasted like a refried Bell and Evans frozen cutlet.(very dry). The kids chicken fingers actually tasted better than the cutlet. Finally , the rib eye(cooked Medium) was pretty tasty and cooked to the correct temp. I will say that Texas Roadhouse $25 ribeye is better though. Service: Extremely slow, but the waitress explained that the kitchen was backed up tonight. We were brought the wrong food all night and it took about an hour to get the meal. I'm actually really surprised that management didn't even offer a free beverage for the long wait. Following the meal, we went to pay and we paid for the wrong bill which was as 200 dollars more. (They still didn't even credit anything for the inconvenience!) After not receiving any kind of credit for the awful service and mediocre food, I made sure to say that I would not be a repeat customer anyways loud enough for the locals at the bar to hear.... . I hope you have a better experience than I did....

We stumbled upon this place by chance after spending a Sunday afternoon at Hopewell Valley Vineyards. The place took us by surprise when we walked in. We didn't expect such a lovely ambiance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Bartender, Will gave us some pointers on Mezcals and it's bottles. The food was not bad. It was bland and need some flavor. But overall decent. This place has the potential of semi casual to a romantic dining experience.

Kind of sleek setting modern. Not cozy. I prefer cozy. Food ok, priced ok, took care of my guest's walker with no problem.

Except Food and Service. Grilled Romaine was amazing. Pork tenderloin was delicious. I can't resist the Zeppoli for dessert.

Food is very good, but service is slow and it's very noisy. And so expensive! I'd go again, but only for a special occasion

It has a rustic farmhouse feel (wood floors with wide boards, multiple fireplaces) but still comes across as more upscale than your typical tavern. The dining room has a warm atmosphere without being too loud, so you can actually have a conversation without shouting. We started with the seasonal pickle plate (beets, carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, fennel, olives) and the bread plate (three different breads with two different butters and olive oil). Both were a good way to kick things off. The pickled vegetables had a nice variety and the bread was fresh and paired well with the accompaniments. For our entrees, my wife went with the homemade pasta while I chose the Wagyu NY strip steak cooked medium rare with bourbon maple glazed root vegetables. The steak was cooked exactly as requested and had great flavor. The root vegetables added a nice sweetness that complemented the dish well. My wife really enjoyed her pasta and had enough to take some home. To finish the night, we had the mozzarella gelato (yes, you read that right - mozzarella), along with tea for my wife and coffee and Sambuca for me. The gelato was a unique dessert and a nice way to wrap up the meal. Our waitress Jemma was very friendly and attentive throughout the night without being overbearing. Overall, everything was very good. This is definitely a place we would return to, especially for a nice dinner out.
